A Blush and White Los Cabos Celebration with Cloud-Like Florals and Ethereal Romance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Blush pink and white — inspired by the bride’s pink lehenga, creating a soft and romantic atmosphere that complemented the natural beauty of Los Cabos.

A soft, ethereal, and dreamy wedding inspired by the landscape of Los Cabos. Baby’s breath created a cloud-like floral look, champagne silk linens added elegance, and cozy lounge furniture contributed to a floating, romantic feel. The overall vibe was light, airy, and multicultural.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Pete proposed on a Southern California beach where the couple had some of their first dates. He created a romantic setup with a red floral arch, a path of red roses, and a boho picnic for the bride’s family. As he proposed, a passing Pacific Surfliner train honked, adding a serendipitous soundtrack to the moment. They toasted with champagne and ended the day with pizza at sunset.

The bride wore a blush pink lehenga by Indian designer Shyamal & Bhumika. Originally tried in ivory, she decided to order the pink version from India to better match the light, airy wedding aesthetic. A custom-made pink veil completed the look and honored her Pakistani heritage.

Signature cocktails during the cocktail hour included a Pink Paloma and a pastel green Cucumber Fresco. The menu featured a fusion of Western and Mexican cuisine, such as Baja lobster with gnocchi and truffle cream.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Floral arrangements featured pink and white wildflowers nestled in clouds of baby’s breath, creating a whimsical, floating effect. A grand floral arch at the ceremony echoed this theme. Tables were draped in champagne silk, and pink parasols provided nostalgic charm to the outdoor setup.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

A twist on a classic Mexican tres leches cake: chocolate-flavored, blush-pink icing, and a satin bow detail.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony included a violinist performing both Western and Pakistani melodies. The bride walked down the aisle to the Indian love song “Kiven Mukhde.” The couple’s first dance was to “At Last” by Etta James, chosen for its timeless lyrics and emotional resonance.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

A dedicated kids’ area with fairy-lit teepees, floor beds, pillows, and personalized plush bunnies (white for boys, pink for girls), along with coloring books to keep little guests entertained.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]One of the most meaningful aspects of the planning process was envisioning how to blend Pakistani and Western traditions into a cohesive celebration that honored both of our backgrounds. Creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our friends and family—rooted in personal meaning and cultural richness—made the journey unforgettable. Designing décor that harmonized with the natural beauty of Los Cabos was a particularly joyful and fulfilling part of the experience.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Several Pakistani traditions were woven into the celebration. A week before the wedding, Saimah’s family hosted a lively dholki—a traditional pre-wedding gathering filled with music and dance—where Pete enthusiastically participated, trying his hand at the dhol drum and some spirited bhangra moves. Saimah also had intricate henna applied to her hands, with Pete’s name hidden within the design. When the henna dried to an especially dark color, her family took it as a beautiful sign—traditionally believed to symbolize the depth of love between the couple.

A Southern Soirée of Bridgerton Blues, Feminine Florals, and Timeless Elegance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The reception design showcased Symone’s favorite color palettes, chosen for their timeless and personal appeal, with each room offering a unique experience. The living room and terrace highlighted a Bridgerton-inspired palette of blues, blushes, and yellows with textured linens and floral decor. The dining room radiated femininity with pinks, oranges, and peaches, while the ballroom emphasized elegance with all-white florals symbolizing new beginnings!

When choosing the design for the reception, I wanted to highlight my favorite color palettes that I have used throughout my nearly 10 years in the industry as a wedding and event designer. I aimed to select designs that have stood the test of time and would always be classically beautiful and true to my personal style. Due to the size of the Mountain Brook Club, I chose three different palettes to create separate experiences for guests within each room. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by full floral archways that reflected the color scheme of their respective rooms. The Bridgerton-inspired color palette that came to life in the living room and terrace focused on light blues, blushes, yellows, and an overall woodland garden style. Linens with as much texture as the florals are always a must, so I paired a two-tone green linen with rattan sofas and a neutral wooden chair to ensure guests felt all the comforts of al fresco dining throughout this southern summer evening. For the dining room, I selected a feminine dream palette of pinks, oranges, and peaches. I have always had a very “girly” side, so this was an instant yes! The abundance of natural light highlighted the classic attributes of this 1929 Colonial Revival, including the iconic dancing guest murals that share the same hues. Lastly, I couldn’t have a true Southern wedding without incorporating all-white florals in the ballroom. Traditionally, all-white wedding florals symbolize new beginnings, making the ballroom—the epicenter of the celebration—the perfect setting for this color scheme. I focused on emphasizing the room’s 1800s-inspired elegance with cascading installations and ornate focal arrangements.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Every year, Symone’s family celebrates Thanksgiving with a large lunch (over 70 guests) at their family’s farm in Brierfield, Alabama. It is her favorite holiday, and Daniel knew it was the perfect time to propose. That morning, Symone’s mother, Dorothy, went early to help set up. This alerted Symone, as her mother hadn’t gone to the farm early to set up in over 15 years ha! Upon arrival, Daniel suggested that they take his parents on a tour of the property, as this was their first time at the Shaw Thanksgiving. Symone agreed, and they started the tour, which inevitably ended at a bank on the Cahaba River (that runs through the property). When they arrived, Daniel had set up flowers and champagne, and Symone instantly knew—he was about to propose! The rest of the day was spent in bliss amongst the couple’s family. Symone says she couldn’t imagine a more perfect proposal.

When it came to selecting the perfect gown, Symone had a specific vision in mind– a ballgown that celebrates the beauty of southern elegance but with a modern spin! After a little light research, she found a gown by designer Rita Vinieris that checked all of the boxes! When it came to trying this specific dress on, there was only 1 in the entire state, and it happened to be a 15-minute drive from her home! It was fate! In order to make sure she wasn’t missing anything else, she tried on 3 other dress styles, but nothing spoke to her. The Rita Vinieris ball gown was the 4th dress she put on, and she instantly knew it was the one!

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids each wore a gown of their choosing! It was important to Symone that everyone felt comfortable, beautiful, and didn’t break the bank for a dress they won’t wear again. The only requirement was that it had to be floor-length and a shade of green!

When it came to the menu for the evening, the couple decided to serve southern staples due to a large majority of the guests traveling in from across the country! Guests enjoyed corn pones, braised beef bourguignon, and rich mac & cheese alongside seasonal vegetables. Passed oysters on the half shell and pork belly toast points were also enjoyed throughout the evening!

Daughters Baking was always the frontrunner in Symone & Daniel’s minds when it came to their wedding cake! Although Symone loves the look of vintage coquette-style cakes, taste was her main priority. The bride chose Daughters’ popular wedding cake flavor, while the groom opted for a decadent triple chocolate and peanut butter flavor!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Cody and Ashley had envisioned their future for some time when he popped the question. Despite having discussed an engagement, he was still able to surprise her when he got down on one knee at a winery! A Baja Love Story of Color, Soul, and Modern Mexican Elegance at Hotel San Cristóbal

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Brittany had a clear creative instinct from the beginning. She was drawn to rich colors, natural textures, and a modern take on Mexican flair. The inspiration came from the landscape of Todos Santos itself — sun-faded tones, bougainvillea in bloom, and the earthy elegance of the Baja desert. Vibrant, artistic, modern Mexican, warm, joyful, with an effortlessly stylish twist. A blend of bold floral statements and intimate, organic textures — it was a celebration full of heart and soul.

Set in the heart of Todos Santos, Brittany and Cody’s wedding was the perfect blend of soul, color, and thoughtful design. Planned and produced by Lola del Campo of Lola del Campo Events, the celebration unfolded across carefully curated spaces — from a minimalist chapel entrance overflowing with florals, to a candlelit dinner under the stars at The Cannery. Every detail was intentional: custom-designed linens inspired by the Baja landscape, a modern-meets-Mexican palette of bold reds and soft blush tones, and a tablescape layered with handwoven textures and glassware. But what truly made this wedding unforgettable were the emotional moments — a custom song written and performed for the couple during dinner, fireworks choreographed to music, and the kind of joyful, grounded energy that only comes from a couple deeply in love and a team deeply invested in the experience. This was not just a wedding — it was a story that unfolded through color, music, and connection.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Brittany and Cody first met at a bar in San Francisco on a Saturday night. Cody was with many of his friends (a very big group!), and Brittany was with one of her closest friends for a girls’ night out. Cody and Brittany locked eyes almost immediately from across the room and didn’t take their eyes off each other until Cody made the first move. He came right up to Brittany and sat down next to her and introduced himself. They’ve been inseparable since! They went to Japan as their first big trip together. They toured around Tokyo and Kyoto, having the best time eating their way through the fish market and train stations. They made reservations and just went with the flow for most of the trip. They then went to a small island south of Japan, called Okinawa. They stayed in a traditional Japanese resort with many unfamiliar cultural differences. Cody had set up a champagne and flower picnic on the beach for when they first arrived. Brittany immediately knew it was going to happen and was so happy to just take in each other, where they were in the world, and that really special moment between just the two of them. He proposed there on the beach after holding each other for a few moments to take it all in.

For the ceremony, Brittany wore a sleek and romantic gown with off-the-shoulder straps, which she bought at And Something Blue Bridal Shop in San Francisco, and had alterations on it to really fit her style and desired look. Floral appliqués on the veil connected the entire bridal look that was elegant, minimal, and modern. Later, for the dancing and party, she changed into a beautiful party dress, individually hand embellished with white crystal waterfall beading and sequins by Nadine Merabi.

Bridesmaids – bride’s nieces – wore deep pink satin dresses.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

A favorite detail and a conversation starter during Brittany and Cody’s Welcome Party was a fisherman’s panga, which was filled with ice and served as a food station with freshly caught oysters as well as cold beer and wine. For the wedding reception, the menu consisted farm-to-table salad with watermelon, organic tomatoes, and berries. The main course was catch of the day with pistachio mole, and for dessert, the couple opted for everyone’s favorite Mexican treat: churros with chocolate sauce.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Florals truly marked each event of the day. For the wedding ceremony, Lola del Campo created a bold installation with overflowing florals in hues that ranged from warm yellow to deep reds at the chapel of Hotel San Cristobal. For the reception dinner, Lola and her team created low sculptural arrangements on the dinner tables. They brought energy, depth, and modern romance. The palette leaned into rich reds, soft blushes, and desert tones — lively but curated. For the decor, the design team of Lola del Campo embraced the rustic charm of The Cannery with florals, warm candlelight, and custom-made linens designed specifically for Brittany. Long dining tables were styled with layered glassware, neutral napkins with orange trim, and playful but refined textures. The ceremony was framed with floral arrangements in rich Baja colors. Everything was custom-designed — there were no DIY elements.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Brittany and Cody chose churros to be their wedding dessert.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The style of Brittany and Cody’s wedding was joyful, romantic, and design-forward — warm desert hues with bold floral pops. No formal religious or cultural elements were included in the ceremony, but the Baja setting and spirit of the day made it feel soulful and meaningful.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

“My favorite moment was sharing vows with Cody privately and taking in that moment with each other. And then I’m really looking forward to walking down the aisle with my two nieces (11 & 12) and sharing that moment with them as well. And finally, the entire reception should be REALLY, really fun, so I’m excited to dance the night away,” explained Brittany when talking about her most anticipated moments during her wedding weekend.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

“What I love most about Brittany and Cody is their raw authenticity, love, and emotions. Throughout their wedding weekend, they laughed and cried with no restraint, and we all laughed and cried with them. Their joy was contagious and I can still remember how their love felt when looking at their wedding photos,” said Romana Lilić, from LA76 Photography, Brittany and Cody’s wedding photographers, and continued: “One of my favorite moments was seeing Cody’s smile when he saw Brittany during first look, the laughter of them both after they said I do and walked down the aisle, and how they immersed themselves in each event of the day.”

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The musician’s original song for the couple, performed live at dinner, was deeply emotional. Later that night, fireworks exploded above the Pacific, choreographed to music — a surprise for the guests and an unforgettable memory for all. It was the sum of intentional design and emotional authenticity. The custom song, the fireworks, the venue’s soul, and the couple’s contagious joy made it one of those weddings that linger in everyone’s heart.

An Elevated Farm Celebration Rooted in Nature’s Warmth and Grace at a Georgia Farm Estate

McClain and Brandon embraced a rich, organic palette anchored in warm greens, creating an atmosphere that felt both elevated and effortlessly grounded. Their design choices echoed the calming essence of nature, bringing a serene elegance to every moment of their celebration. It was a thoughtful balance of sophistication and soul—where the outdoors didn’t just inspire the day, it enveloped it.

The design embraced natural tones that beautifully complemented the family’s farmland in the background, creating a seamless connection between the setting and the celebration. Soft textures added warmth and depth, while the overall aesthetic remained rooted in simplicity and elegance. Every detail felt intentional, allowing the landscape and love shared to take center stage.

The strapless silhouette featured a softly sculpted neckline that added just the right touch of romance, while the intricate lace overlay gave the dress a delicate, heirloom quality. For the ceremony, she added a lace three-quarter-length top that beautifully complemented the gown, offering a refined layer of modesty and texture. The structured bodice flowed seamlessly into a full, graceful skirt with a gentle train, creating an effortlessly regal look. Paired with a cathedral-length veil and a petite bouquet of white blooms, her entire bridal ensemble felt airy, refined, and perfectly at home on a crisp Georgia fall day.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids each selected their own dresses, drawing from a shared palette of lush, natural greens that echoed the surrounding landscape. The result was a beautifully organic, effortlessly curated look—each gown unique in silhouette and texture, yet perfectly harmonious when seen together. From soft sage to deep olive, the varying shades added depth and dimension to the bridal party, complementing McClain’s classic gown while subtly tying into the serene, nature-inspired aesthetic of the day. The overall effect was one of thoughtful individuality, grounded in a cohesive, elegant vision.

The menu was inspired by Southern comfort, featuring dishes like a delicata squash salad that reflected the season and setting. The florals embraced a soft, romantic palette that seamlessly complemented the surrounding natural landscape. Muted blush tones, subtle hints of light orange, and lush greenery came together in an effortlessly elegant way—enhancing the beauty of the farm without overpowering it. The wedding was held at the couple’s family farm, a cherished property that has been lovingly passed down through generations. Steeped in history and sentiment, the farm is more than just a setting—it’s where the family gathers for holidays and meaningful milestones. Hosting the celebration there added a deeply personal layer to the day, grounding the elegance of the event in a place rich with memory, tradition, and heartfelt connection. All of the trees that are seen in the tent were planted on the property after the event as a special memory for the family for years to come.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

As guests arrived for the ceremony, they were welcomed with a curated bar experience—a thoughtful touch that set a warm, celebratory tone from the very beginning. With signature cocktails and seasonal sips on offer, the pre-ceremony bar invites guests to settle in, mingle, and savor the moment against the backdrop of the farm’s serene landscape. It was a gracious nod to Southern hospitality and a perfect way to ease into the joy of the day.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

In a playful nod to the farm setting, the couple surprised guests with whimsical animal nose party favors—a lighthearted touch that brought an extra dose of fun to the dance floor. As the evening unfolded, friends and family donned pig snouts, cow noses, and other barnyard-inspired accessories, filling the celebration with laughter and joy. It was a perfect reflection of McClain and Brandon’s spirited personalities and their desire to make the night not only beautiful but unforgettable.

A Whimsical Coastal Garden Soirée with a Touch of European Charm at Ponte Vedra Beach

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

We wanted to feature shades of pale blues, yellows, greens, and brighter pops of color like pinks, corals, and peaches

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vision was a coastal garden soirée. We wanted to evoke a little bit of a European vibe with greenery, bright colors, coastal elements, and a garden aesthetic. Our planners sourced the perfect linen, the Spring Balbiano from Nuage Designs, which incorporated our color palette and added to the whimsical, Euro-garden vibe we were after. Rattan Chargers and Napkin rings added a touch of coastal elegance. Our florist covered the venue’s large wrought iron chandeliers in greenery, and they hung tiny glass orbs, which added a touch of whimsy to the overall design. We pulled bright and colorful florals into the paper goods, which featured watercolor elements, including a tiny butterfly and little shells.

We both love skinny margaritas, so that was our signature drink – we called it the Skinny Knockout. Then, later in the night, we opened up a room next to our reception space, and the room featured a dedicated espresso martini bar and late-night bites like pretzel bites and sliders, and fries.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

We wanted the design to be very floral-heavy. Our floral designer used blooms like coral charm peonies, pale blue delphiniums, pink ranunculus, butter yellow stock, pink garden roses, and tiny white daisies. The floral garden vibe was on full display at our ceremony, where lush meadow pieces lined the aisle of our church. These were then repurposed for our reception room to line the stage in front of the band. Our centerpieces were a mix of locompote-style arrangements and pillar candles grouped with bud vases. Our estate tables combined the compote style arrangements, low floral cups, bud vases, and candles for a lush and colorful look. We brought in blonde bentwood chairs, honey rattan chargers, and specialty linens from Nuage and BBJ. We paired the botanical Spring Balbiano linen with the Blush Nantucket stripe from Nuage, and our cocktail hour featured the Elio Poppy linen from BBJ. Our dance floor was a wooden and white checkered floor, and we brought in a white stage facade and white bars. Paper goods featured whimsical watercolor florals, a tiny butterfly, and clamshell detailing.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Classic Cakes made a simple, semi-naked four-tier white cake, and we surrounded it with a lush meadow of florals and accented each tier with petite blooms.

Dancing was SO important to the family – the band, Hit Factory, did an incredible job. The bride and her father danced to II Most Wanted and The Best of My Love and then all of the guests joined them on the dance floor for a few songs before dinner was served.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

We used the bride’s parents’ home for her to get ready – it’s a stunning lakefront home with the best spots for photos and a beautiful coastal decor with light neutral tones. Perfect complement to the large wedding party and bright colors!

We loved the little touches like cute matchbooks, custom cocktail napkins and signage, and the late-night espresso-martini bar.

After the wedding ended with a sparkler departure, the guests were whisked away via school bus shuttles to an after-party at Blue Jay Listening Room featuring a DJ, more drinks, and late-night snacks.

An Earthy Sedona Wedding Blending Natural Textures and Sun-Washed Tones at Enchantment Resort

The vision was rooted in warmth, intention, and an effortless sense of understated luxury. Drawn to a palette inspired by the natural elements—soft terracotta, sandy taupe, sun-washed peach, and rich clay—the couple sought tones that felt grounded, timeless, and evocative of the Sedona landscape. Textures were thoughtfully layered to evoke an organic, modern aesthetic: natural linens, hand-thrown ceramics, and florals styled with a graceful wildness. Every detail was curated to feel deeply personal and artfully imperfect—less about polished perfection, and more about meaningful presence. The celebration unfolded in a space that felt not just designed, but lived in and loved in—a seamless reflection of both their story and the surrounding desert beauty.

The ceremony embraced the raw, untouched beauty of Sedona—never competing with it, only complementing it. A natural wood stage grounded the space, while organic, windswept florals framed the setting with a deliberately unstructured, natural vibe. It felt like a moment suspended in nature—where the landscape, the design, and the emotion moved in harmony, speaking a shared, silent language. For cocktail hour, a series of custom-built cabanas lined the lawn, softened with airy draping and clean architectural lines. These shaded lounges created a feeling of ease—luxurious, yet relaxed. A sleek black bar and sculptural escort wall, both thoughtfully designed for the day, introduced modern contrast and personal nuance. Every detail was curated to enhance the natural surroundings, crafting a space that felt elevated, inviting, and entirely reflective of the couple’s vision. The reception design struck a seamless balance between contemporary elegance and grounded warmth. At its heart, a custom-designed DJ booth served as a sculptural centerpiece, framed by architectural panels, modern dome lighting, and curated florals displayed on minimalist pedestals. The composition was thoughtful—each element designed with intention, every texture and silhouette playing its part in creating a serene, sophisticated atmosphere. It was a space that guests in and made a statement, all at once.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The cake was a modern, sculptural centerpiece that combined artistic design with classic flavors. Its all-white exterior featured intricate, pleated sugar detailing that mimicked the look of flowing fabric, creating a sense of movement and texture. Inside, layers of Lemon cake with cream cheese buttercream, and chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream for a crowd-pleasing finish.

A Coastal Garden Party of Color and Grace by the Water’s Edge

Where Western Heritage Meets High Style: A Luxurious Reimagining of the American Spirit

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

This editorial was born from my inner cowgirl spirit. With a family background in farming and a deep appreciation for American history, I have always felt a strong connection to the rugged beauty and traditions of the West. I wanted to bring that heritage into the wedding world with a fresh and luxurious perspective. Rather than following the well-trodden path of European destination weddings with dramatic florals, my vision centered on creating something unexpected and original. It became a Western-inspired celebration infused with sophistication and high style. The result is a new take on luxury chic weddings that honors the past while feeling distinctly modern and fashion-forward.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The color story for this editorial drew inspiration directly from the natural elements found on a working ranch. Neutrals and earthy tones created a sense of warmth and authenticity, while leather textures added depth and a tactile luxury to the palette. Together, these hues evoke the timeless beauty of the American West while maintaining a refined and elevated look that feels perfectly suited to a chic wedding celebration. For the welcome event, we introduced a lively twist on the wedding day palette by drawing inspiration from California’s summer-time wildflowers. Bright yellows and soft purples brought a joyful energy to the celebration, creating a fresh and playful mood for guests as they arrived. This pop of color felt authentic to the landscape and balanced beautifully with the earthier tones of the wedding day, making the entire weekend feel cohesive while still giving each celebration its own personality.

[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

We had the privilege of working at one of my favorite wedding venues on California’s Central Coast, Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. This location provided the perfect combination of refined luxury and authentic cowboy spirit. As a working winery and dude ranch, Holman Ranch carries a sense of history and craftsmanship that resonated deeply with me and my own family background. Its sweeping vistas, rustic textures, and elegant spaces created the ideal setting for bringing a Western inspired luxury celebration to life. Being there felt like coming home, which allowed the editorial to unfold naturally and authentically.

Thanks to Lovely Bride Bay Area, we were able to showcase a curated selection of gowns that captured both the free-spirited feel of the West and the elegance of high fashion. We featured multiple looks from Rue De Siene and Dany Tabet, each offering its own expression of Western luxury chic. One highlight was a two-in-one Dany Tabet gown featuring a detachable train that allowed us to create both dramatic and effortless bridal moments. The Rue De Siene gowns brought striking silhouettes and intricate textures that perfectly complemented the rustic yet refined setting. Together, these designs were the perfect touch to complete the vision of a Western-inspired luxury celebration.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design for this editorial was rooted in authenticity and the natural beauty of California. During my planning call with Friday Flowers, I shared my vision of arrangements that felt as if they had been freshly gathered from the ranch that morning. We focused on using native plants in California to enhance that sense of place and connection to the land. The palette featured whites, creams, rustic hues, and soft touches of yellow, creating a look that was effortlessly organic yet still elevated enough for a luxury celebration. The décor combined neutral tones with rustic pops of color to echo the Western-inspired theme while maintaining a sense of refinement. Each table featured thoughtful touches such as horseshoes paired with leather name tags and custom leather table numbers, creating a seamless blend of authenticity and luxury. The head table was designed as a long, rectangular structure surrounded by velvet chairs, creating a dramatic focal point for the celebration. Guests were seated at round tables that encircled the head table, fostering a sense of intimacy and connection. The cake display was presented on a beautiful wooden table that added warmth and texture to the overall design. Together, these elements captured an upscale, Western chic atmosphere that felt both distinctive and timeless.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

One of the most unforgettable moments of this editorial was the ceremony backdrop. The florist created a striking horseshoe-shaped floral frame to surround the couple as they exchanged vows. This bold and creative feature felt like a natural extension of the Western-inspired theme, adding a playful yet meaningful nod to ranch culture. It not only made a dramatic statement but also framed the couple beautifully, creating a focal point that perfectly blended authenticity with luxury.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

To recreate this Western-inspired luxury aesthetic, start by selecting a venue that naturally reflects both rustic character and refined elegance, such as a working ranch or property with sweeping views. Blend earthy tones with richer textures, such as leather, wood, and velvet, to create warmth and depth throughout your tablescapes and décor. Incorporate native florals to create a natural, just-picked feel that echoes the surrounding land, while keeping the arrangements upscale and intentional. When choosing fashion, look for gowns and accessories that marry free-spirited silhouettes with high-end detailing to embody the Western chic mood. By thoughtfully weaving together these elements, you can achieve a wedding style that feels authentic, elevated, and timeless.

Dinner began with a seasonal delicacy — white asparagus — followed by a choice of filet of beef or sea bass, paired beautifully with Bordeaux or Chardonnay.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals were lush and bloom-heavy, centered around striking raspberry pink peonies in full May bloom. Tablescapes featured elegant gold candelabras and romantic, heirloom-inspired details, perfectly complementing the château’s 18th-century art collection in ornate golden frames. As the sun dipped below the horizon, dinner unfolded beneath soft candlelight, turning the evening into a golden hour reverie.[/field]

Ashley and Brock selected excerpts from “L’Éternelle Chanson”, a poem by Rosemonde Gérard, to be read by Ashley’s brother and sister-in-law at the ceremony in English, followed by a reading in French by their officiant. The couple particularly cherished the line: “And as every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow.”

Special touches made the day and weekend uniquely theirs, especially the Taylor Swift easter eggs featured throughout. From Taylor Swift-inspired escort cards and fireworks soundtracks (a must for the Swiftie bride). A Cultural Wedding Weekend: Honouring Traditions in Croatia. The wedding was not just a single-day event, but a weekend-long celebration that beautifully intertwined Persian, American, and Croatian traditions. Every moment was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s multicultural backgrounds and the unique influences that shaped their journey together. The festivities began with a vibrant Henna night—a joyful evening that paid homage to the bride’s Persian heritage while embracing the spirit of Dubrovnik. Lemons, a symbolic and local element, were featured prominently, representing freshness and a connection to the land. To recreate the atmosphere of traditional Henna nights in Iran, which are often held in the warm embrace of a family home, Persian rugs and strings of glowing lights were used to transform the space into one that felt intimate, festive, and full of soul. Live drumming added an energetic rhythm to the night, echoing the music and dancing the bride remembered from her childhood. It was a heartfelt evening filled with laughter, music, and community—a perfect introduction to the weekend ahead. The Henna night became a celebration not only of Persian tradition but of all the cultures that had touched the couple’s lives. It set the tone for a weekend that would seamlessly blend history, identity, and love in one of the most breathtaking corners of the world. Designing the Sofreh Aghd: A Fusion of Culture, History, and Elegance in Croatia. As an architectural designer, the bride believed that design should reflect the soul of culture, history, and the people it represents. These values were at the heart of the Sofreh Aghd she created for the ceremony in Croatia. Set against the backdrop of the Adriatic—often called the “Pearl of the Adriatic”—the setting inspired her to include subtle pearl motifs throughout the décor, symbolizing elegance, grace, and timeless beauty. With deep roots in Persian culture, it was important to the bride that the Sofreh express its rich and refined traditions. Persian culture is inherently poetic—never ostentatious, but filled with quiet sophistication. This ethos guided the floral selections: dreamy, delicate flowers that echoed the gentle rhythm of Persian verse. Understated yet expressive, they became a visual language of elegance and meaning. The ceremony took place at a historical venue called Sponza Palace, a venue imbued with its own storied past. The design of the Sofreh paid homage to this history while gracefully incorporating elements of Persian culture and the natural surroundings. Each design choice—florals, textures, colours—was made to complement the castle’s architecture and setting, striking a harmonious balance between heritage and place. Just as the couple’s loved ones had travelled from across the globe, each item on the Sofreh had its own journey—sourced from different corners of the world. This blend was a testament to the international spirit of the celebration and Persian culture’s deep appreciation for global connection. The Sofreh Aghd became not just a decorative table, but a tapestry of stories, memories, and symbolism. Inspired by the Western tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed,” the bride reinterpreted this custom for the Sofreh. Pieces passed down from grandmothers, items borrowed from friends, and new treasures brought from Iran were all carefully placed, symbolizing the linking of generations and the timeless continuity of love. Ultimately, the Sofreh Aghd became a deeply personal expression of who the couple is, where they come from, and the union of their worlds. It was a tribute to unity, to love that transcends borders, and to the beauty of merging traditions—all set in the heart of Croatia’s stunning coastline. Reception Décor: A Celebration of Modern Elegance and Tradition. After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a spirited walk through the stone alleys of Dubrovnik. Accompanied by traditional Croatian street musicians, the guests danced their way to the reception venue, infusing the streets with joy and rhythm. The reception was held at a breathtaking clifftop location with panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. The design aimed to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the setting. Ethereal flower clouds floated above the tables, delicate and weightless, allowing the scenery—sea, sky, and sunset—to remain the star of the show. The décor was intentionally airy and poetic, mirroring the dreamy elegance of the couple’s vision. Symbols from the Sofreh Aghd were subtly woven into the reception design, transformed into contemporary elements that maintained their cultural significance while blending seamlessly with the modern aesthetic. It was a continuation of the ceremony’s spirit, adapted for a new setting and mood. The reception décor struck a perfect balance between heritage and modernity. The floral palette featured soft blush, dusty pink, and ivory tones, with hints of gold adding understated luxury. Creamy linens, candlelight, and transparent Ghost chairs lent a sophisticated airiness to the design, while keeping the atmosphere warm and romantic. As the evening unfolded, every detail told a story of connection—between cultures, between past and present, and between the couple and their loved ones. The reception embodied a refined celebration where tradition met innovation, all against the backdrop of Croatia’s magical coastline. It was a weekend of beauty, love, and cultural harmony—where every element came together in a celebration that felt timeless, deeply personal, and unforgettable.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

The perfect moment to propose to Peyvand came during a memorable trip to Turkey, which she shared with her partner Tom, her brother Pejman, and cousin Aryan. For Tom, securing the blessings of both Peyvand’s father and Pejman was essential—and fortunately, both gave their wholehearted approval. With everything in place, the group set off on a day-trip to Büyükada, a picturesque island renowned for its peaceful charm and its friendly cat population. After a scenic ferry ride, they rented bikes and pedaled through the island’s idyllic landscapes, eventually arriving at a breathtaking vantage point. It was there, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Turkish coastline and the island’s ever-present feline companions, that Tom knelt down on one knee. Before he could even begin his carefully prepared speech, Peyvand—overcome with joy and excitement—said yes.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The celebration kicked off the night before the wedding with an abundant and beautifully arranged grazing table that set the tone for the festivities. Guests enjoyed an elegant spread featuring mini burgers, spring rolls, fried scampi tails, tacos, and an array of fish, meat, and vegetarian canapés. Dalmatian platters and individual octopus salads in glasses added a regional touch, while Caprese salad and cherry tomato–mozzarella skewers brought fresh Mediterranean flavors. Meatballs served in warm tomato sauce cups were a comforting favorite—but the real star of the evening was the creamy lemon ice cream served in lemon shells, which quickly became a crowd-pleasing hit.

On the wedding day, the culinary experience continued with a generous buffet of cold and warm dishes. Cold options included a variety of Dalmatian cheeses and cured meats, along with inventive salads like stuffed tomatoes with rice and tuna, Mediterranean chicken-pasta salad, and a vibrant summer Waldorf. Warm selections showcased local flavors with baked Zagorje štrukli, gnocchi with prosciutto and sage, truffle-infused spinach gnocchi, vegetarian tortellini, and house-made gorgonzola ravioli with a rich cheese sauce.

For the main course, a family-style feast was served at the tables: grilled sea bass over Swiss chard, gratinated potatoes with pumpkin cream on the side, chicken medallions in a savory sauce, and tender beef rolls filled with prosciutto, cheese, and mushrooms.

Desserts arrived in style—served from a vintage-style trolley—featuring Hungarian layer cake (mađarica), delicate crispy fruit baskets, and silky panna cotta, providing a sweet and elegant finale to a truly unforgettable celebration.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The colour palette of ivory, blush, gold, and dusty pink set the tone for a reception that felt effortlessly elegant, soft, and modern romantic. These hues harmonized beautifully with the natural surroundings, echoing the golden glow of the sunset and the delicate pastels of the sea and sky. The ceremony itself centered around soft blush tones, which were showcased in the floral arrangements lining the aisle and framing the altar. These gentle shades created an ambiance of romance and delicacy, heightened by a clean ivory aisle runner and sheer backdrop curtain that added a refined contrast to the historic stone textures of the venue. Transparent Ghost chairs brought a modern, ethereal touch, enhancing the visual lightness while allowing the beauty of the space to shine through. The weathered beige and tan tones of the palace’s stone arches provided an earthy, timeless backdrop that grounded the pastel palette with quiet strength. Classic blush and ivory roses were elegantly woven throughout the arrangements, adding a touch of timeless romance. Lisianthus blooms, known for their ruffled petals and graceful appearance, were tucked into the arrangements in soft pastel tones. They contributed a romantic, almost vintage feel, enhancing the floral storytelling with elegance and delicacy. The voluminous blooms of hydrangeas appeared in soft pink and creamy white tones, contributing fullness and a dreamy texture to the base arrangements. Their round, clustered form created a luxurious foundation and balanced the taller florals at Sponza Palace. The reception embraced a refined and romantic aesthetic with a contemporary twist, accented by whimsical touches. Set just a short walk from the amphitheatre at Višnjica—one of Dubrovnik’s most breath-taking viewpoints—the venue offered a spectacular setting. Perched atop a rocky cliff, it boasted panoramic views of the Old City and nearby islands, making it a truly unforgettable location. The overall design was dreamlike yet sophisticated, blending the natural beauty of the landscape with elegant, modern elements. Suspended above the dining tables, floating clouds of blush pink baby’s breath and crystal chandeliers created a magical canopy, mirroring the golden tones of the setting sun and glistening sea beyond. Each table featured floral centrepieces in soft blush hues, infusing the space with warmth and romance. Creamy neutral linens, ivory napkins, and the soft glow of candlelight added layers of understated elegance. Gold cutlery offered a touch of luxury, while transparent Ghost chairs and delicate glassware maintained a sense of openness and modern minimalism, allowing the natural surroundings to remain at the heart of the experience. Ivory and creamy neutrals formed a refined base, allowing the blush and dusty pink florals to shine with their dreamy, ethereal charm. Gold accents—subtly incorporated through table settings and decorative details—added just the right amount of glamour, enriching the atmosphere without overwhelming its serenity. Used abundantly in various shades of pink, baby’s breath created a cloud-like, ethereal texture in installations above the tables at the reception venue. It formed dramatic overhead floral chandeliers and lush backdrops, offering a whimsical, airy effect that softened the setting while adding volume without heaviness. The centrepieces featured an opulent floral arrangement with soft pink roses and baby’s breath (gypsophila), which created a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. Dark green, heart-shaped acrylic table signs were perfectly fitting for the entire table setup. Crystal-cut wine glasses and water goblets had been arranged precisely, adding to the upscale and refined ambiance. Gold-plated cutlery was laid out neatly next to cream or champagne-coloured napkins, which were elegantly knotted. The tablecloth and napkins were in soft, neutral tones, which complemented the warm, golden lighting and enhanced the romantic feel of the setting. The dance floor itself was a stunning, glossy white surface, patterned with delicate, geometric floral motifs in soft blush tones. It shimmered beautifully under the evening lights and set the perfect stage for the couple’s first dance. Above the dance floor, suspended high in the open structure, was the most breathtaking floral chandelier. It was made of two massive rings entirely covered in soft pink gypsophila (baby’s breath). The rings floated above the dance floor like clouds, glowing softly under the warm ambient lighting. It created such a romantic and ethereal atmosphere — it truly felt magical standing beneath it. To the side of the floor, there was a chic ivory sofa with a modern, curved design. It was positioned as a cozy lounge spot and styled with matching blush-toned floral arrangements at its base. Everything felt so thoughtfully arranged, seamlessly blending elegance and comfort. The whole scene looked like something out of a luxury bridal magazine. Altogether, the palette and design created a timeless yet contemporary setting—an enchanting celebration suspended high above Dubrovnik’s historic beauty, where elegance met nature in perfect harmony.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

This wedding cake was a breathtaking centrepiece, radiating elegance and celebration. It stood tall as a three-tiered masterpiece, each layer exquisitely adorned with delicate pastel flowers—blush roses and pale hydrangeas—that added a soft, romantic touch to its overall design. The cake featured a smooth, matte finish in soft peachy-pink tones, which gave it an understated yet luxurious feel, perfectly complementing the floral décor and the ambiance of the evening. Sparklers lit up from the sides, creating a festive and magical moment as guests gathered around in admiration. Flavour Profile: Upper Tier: Vanilla with raspberry – light, fruity, and refreshing. Middle Tier: Vanilla-raspberry again, offering consistency for guests who enjoyed a bright, tangy flavour. Lower Tier: Chocolate fruit – rich and indulgent, providing a delicious contrast to the tiers above. Displayed on a modern acrylic stand and illuminated by the glow of chandeliers above, this cake wasn’t just a dessert—it was a symbolic highlight of the celebration, remembered for its beauty, flavour, and the joy it brought to everyone there.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The wedding ceremony began with Groom’s father, serving as the co-officiant and delivering a warm, humorous introduction. He welcomed the guests, acknowledged the joyous occasion of Peyvand and Tom’s marriage.

Dennis (groom’s father) then delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing short personal stories and kind words about Peyvand, Tom, and their relationship together.

Next came the exchange of vows, with Tom and Peyvand expressing their promises to each other. This was followed by the exchange of rings, during which each repeated traditional phrases symbolizing love, friendship, and lifelong commitment.

Finally, Dennis handed over the ceremony to Pajman, Peyvand’s brother and the primary officiant, for the remainder of the proceedings.

After dinner, Peyvand and Tom took to the dance floor for their romantic first dance to “L.O.V.E” by Nat King Cole, setting a joyful and heartfelt tone for the evening. As the celebration continued, the dance floor came alive—and just when the energy was at its peak, a surprise entrance by live drummers took the party to a whole new level, igniting the crowd and making the night truly unforgettable. Tom shared a deeply emotional moment with his mother as they danced to “Child of Mine” by Carole King. The heartfelt lyrics and their quiet connection created one of the most touching scenes of the evening, bringing tears to many eyes and reminding everyone of the profound bond between a mother and son. Later in the evening, the drummers brought a burst of energy with two lively Iranian songs—“Mobarak Bad (Rushid)” and “Bandari (Dokhtare).” The rhythmic beats and infectious melodies filled the room with joy, and it wasn’t long before everyone was on their feet, dancing together and celebrating in true festive spirit. It was a perfect fusion of cultures and an unforgettable highlight of the night.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

One of the most charming and memorable moments of the wedding was the incorporation of a cherished Persian wedding tradition that beautifully blends playfulness with deep cultural meaning. During the ceremony, when the officiant asked the bride the pivotal question—”Do you grant me permission to officiate this marriage?”—the atmosphere filled with anticipation. In keeping with tradition, the groom confidently and immediately responded with an enthusiastic “yes.” However, when the question was turned to the bride, she remained silent—not out of hesitation, but as part of a joyful custom. This ritual, known in Persian culture as the “Do you?” tradition, sees the bride remain quiet the first two times the question is asked, often smiling or looking to her family and friends in playful suspense. This tradition added a unique and endearing touch to the ceremony, showcasing the richness of Iranian culture and creating a heartfelt pause that everyone in the room will remember fondly.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

At the wedding, one of the most joyful and entertaining moments was the performance of the beloved Persian tradition known as “Raghseh Chagoo”—the knife dance. This lively and playful custom took place just before the cake cutting and instantly brought smiles, laughter, and a wave of energy to the celebration. As the guests gathered around, a female family member took centre stage, gracefully dancing while holding the cake knife. With each swirl and step, she teased the couple, playfully refusing to hand over the knife unless they offered a “payment” or a playful bribe. The dance was more than just a performance—it was a moment of shared joy, filled with music, clapping, and cheering from the guests. It symbolized not only the union of the couple but also the warmth and humour that family and tradition bring into a marriage. Raghseh Chagoo turned the simple act of cutting a cake into a cherished and unforgettable part of the night—one that blended cultural pride with pure celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

At the wedding, there was an audio guest book corner, styled with elegance and charm. The decorator curated a romantic vignette centered around a vintage red rotary phone, placed on a classic ivory side table. Guests were invited to leave voice messages for the couple, turning the moment into a timeless keepsake. To make the space both functional and visually striking, a velvet shell-back chair in dusty rose was chosen for its plush texture and retro glamour. Surrounding the setup were abundant floral arrangements in shades of blush, mauve, and soft lavender, featuring roses, lisianthus, chrysanthemums, and pink gypsophila. These florals cascaded gracefully across the gravel-covered ground, adding depth and softness to the scene. Set against a lush backdrop of greenery and bathed in warm ambient lighting, the area felt intimate, stylish, and photogenic — a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern romance. It became a favourite among guests and seamlessly enhanced the overall wedding aesthetic.

Jeremiah proposed three times, with the first two attempts thwarted by his lack of parental blessing. His initial proposal in Paris in March 2022 was romantic, but I couldn’t accept without my parents’ approval. A year later in Las Vegas, he tried again at The Eiffel Tower Restaurant, even orchestrating a humorous, public proposal, but still hadn’t secured their blessing. Finally, in December 2023, after moving to a new city and sadly losing their dog, Jeremiah secretly got my parents’ blessing in Mandarin. He then surprised me with a heartfelt, intimate proposal, incorporating memories of our beloved dog and acknowledging our new home, leading me to finally say yes.

A Refined Outdoor Celebration Framed by Camelback Mountain

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The color palette was a refined blend of soft neutrals and fresh greens, designed to feel timeless yet organic within the natural desert setting. Shades of ivory, crisp white, and soft champagne served as the foundation, creating a clean and elegant canvas. These tones were complemented by lush greenery, primarily eucalyptus and ruscus, which added texture and a sense of movement throughout the space. Touches of gold were introduced through flatware, chair frames, and monogram details—adding warmth and subtle sophistication without overpowering the minimalist aesthetic. The overall effect was a harmonious balance between modern design and natural beauty, perfectly suited for an alfresco celebration beneath Camelback Mountain.

From the start, we both knew we wanted an outdoor wedding. We envisioned a place with consistently beautiful weather and breathtaking scenery, which made Scottsdale the perfect choice. We fell in love with Mountain Shadows the moment we saw it—the view of Camelback Mountain is simply stunning and felt like the perfect backdrop to start our forever. When it came to our wedding vision, I wanted to bring a romantic, Italian-inspired feel to the desert. Think long tables with soft candlelight, lush white florals, elegant chandeliers, and a dreamy ambiance. We designed each part of the day to feel like its own unique experience. The ceremony took place under a gorgeous chuppah with Camelback in the background, followed by a rooftop cocktail hour during golden hour. Dinner was held in a beautifully styled outdoor space full of romance, and then we transitioned into the ballroom for dancing. We wanted our guests to feel like they were stepping into another world—a true experience from start to finish. Music is a huge part of both our lives, and we channeled our love for music festivals into the energy of the night, from our song choices to the lighting. It felt like us in every single way. Our wedding planner brought our vision to life perfectly, and the day truly felt like a fairytale—we wouldn’t change a single thing.

With the most beautiful sunset as our backdrop, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was pure magic.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]After we got engaged, I knew I wanted to wear an Israeli designer. My grandfather, a Holocaust survivor, instilled in me a deep connection to Judaism and Israel, so choosing a designer who represented that meant a lot. I traveled to Tel Aviv and, after just a few dresses at Galia Lahav, I found “the one.” The Maya dress made me feel like a true princess. I had always envisioned a mermaid silhouette, and no one does corsetry and fit quite like Galia Lahav—it hugged me in all the right places.

I also knew I wanted a second look for the reception, and once again, Galia Lahav was the only choice. Working with the team in New York, we created a custom, sparkly, drop-waist mini dress that perfectly matched what I had imagined in my head. I felt so confident, beautiful, and connected—to Israel, to my roots, and to this incredible moment in my life.

For my bridesmaids, I envisioned a striking contrast between my white gown and their dresses. I know bridesmaid dresses can be hit or miss, so I wanted each of them to feel comfortable and beautiful. I gave them the freedom to choose any floor-length black dress that suited their style. The result was effortlessly elegant, cohesive, and uniquely them.

A vegetarian option of charred asparagus risotto with microgreens brought rich flavor and beautiful presentation. For those craving a classic, the filet of beef came paired with balsamic onion marmalade, haricot verts, whipped potatoes, and optional accompaniments of bleu cheese fondue and bacon-herb butter—creating a luxurious finish to a beautifully composed menu. Every detail of the meal showcased the resort’s culinary artistry and the couple’s impeccable taste, leaving a lasting impression on every guest.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Camelback Mountain, Rachel and Jesse’s wedding was a masterclass in modern elegance, brought to life with thoughtful details and a visionary design. Hosted on the iconic event lawn at Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley, the celebration featured what would become the resort’s most ambitious and elaborate ceremony-to-reception flip to date. As only the second wedding ever to transform the lawn in this way, it pushed creative boundaries—seamlessly converting the ceremony setting into a fully built-out reception in just 90 minutes. The ceremony began beneath a lush, floral-drenched chuppah, perfectly framed by the dramatic desert landscape. Clusters of white blooms and organic greenery created a romantic focal point that felt both grand and grounded. Rows of sleek white chairs with gold frames mirrored the couple’s chic, clean-lined aesthetic. Following the heartfelt vows, guests were invited to the cocktail hour as the lawn underwent a dramatic transformation. Under the expert direction of Cydney Lundahl with Westgate Events, the reception space was reimagined with sophistication and intention. Two 60-foot custom dining structures were built on the lawn, lined with white draping, eucalyptus-wrapped beams, and crystal chandeliers suspended overhead—offering all the elegance of a ballroom in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. As the sun dipped behind the mountain, the chandeliers cast a warm, ambient glow over the beautifully set tables below. Each place setting featured a tented menu sealed with a custom wax monogram, and the couple’s signature branding carried throughout the event day details—from the monogrammed bar to the ceremony program fans and the elevated seating chart display. These bespoke paper goods and signage pieces, designed in collaboration with Hannah of Arch & Arrow, brought a cohesive and elevated finish to every touchpoint of the guest experience. The bar itself was a focal moment—an elegant curved structure in crisp white, flanked by large urns overflowing with fresh blooms and backed by polished glassware displays. Nearby, the escort display was beautifully positioned at The Overlook, with sleek white pillars topped with floral arrangements. A meaningful quote—“I’d choose you in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds”—was displayed in gold lettering on the wall behind it, adding an emotional and personal touch to the space. Thanks to the vision of Cydney Lundahl and the creative contributions of her vendor partners, the event was flawlessly executed down to the last detail. From the seamless ceremony-to-reception flip to the personalized branding woven throughout the décor, this wedding was a true showcase of artistry, organization, and thoughtful design. A celebration where the desert met modern elegance, and where every moment felt as meaningful as it was beautiful. Behind the Design with Aspen Weeks of Mint Green Design Designing the florals for Rachel and Jesse’s wedding at Mountain Shadows was an unforgettable experience -one that required not only a deep understanding of their vision, but also careful logistical planning and an eye for scale. From the very first conversation, the couple envisioned a celebration that felt lush, romantic, and elevated – something that would honor the dramatic Camelback Mountain views while softening the desert terrain with refined garden-like beauty. Westgate Events and I spent months discussing how to bring this vision to life, especially around the architectural elements of the day: the chuppah, the dinner structures, and the custom bar and escort displays. Every floral detail was thoughtfully considered -how the flowers would climb, spill, and cascade; how the tones would feel under daylight and transition into evening glow; and how the scale would enhance rather than overpower the surroundings. For the ceremony, the focal point was the lush, garden-inspired chuppah. Built with natural materials and fully covered in layers of florals and greenery, the structure felt like it had grown organically from the lawn. We wanted layers of texture both in the greenery and floral varietals. We used a variety of variegated and dark green tones paired with the lighter green tones of hellebore, viburnum, and hydrangea, creating a luxurious base of texture and interest, adding in lush creamy white blooms of garden roses, peonies, majolika spray roses, ball dahlias, and hydrangea. The aisle was lined with meadow-style arrangements-dense but low -to create an immersive floral path without blocking the view of Camelback behind it. For the reception, we knew the transformation had to be seamless and stunning. The two 60-foot dinner structures were wrapped in greenery and topped with climbing floral installations. We chose to layer in delicate blooms like spray roses and garden roses to soften the architectural lines, while strategically placing florals around the base of the chandeliers to highlight their grandeur. Working with the draping and lighting team, we ensured that the chandeliers glowed softly through strands of foliage – a perfect balance of drama and romance. Tables were kept elegant and intentional. Centerpieces were low and lush, mixing soft white blooms like garden roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus with delicate filler flowers and layered greenery, including variegated tones and vining jasmine for natural texture and movement. No two arrangements were the same, but they all spoke the same visual language: fresh, natural, and refined. We also dressed the cake table, the escort display pillars, and the bar florals to feel cohesive but site-specific -each space treated as its own floral moment. Even the ceremony program fans were paired with matching floral displays to elevate the guest experience at every turn. Working alongside Cydney Lundahl of Westgate Events, who flawlessly produced this ambitious 90-minute flip, we were able to design a floral story that felt complete, from the first step down the aisle to the final toast under the stars. This wedding was more than a design -it was a full-scale transformation of space, season, and sentiment, and I am so proud to have been a part of it.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake from A Bake Shop was a timeless, all-white design featuring smooth vanilla buttercream and clean lines for a modern yet elegant look. Fresh florals were added onsite, cascading down the tiers to create a romantic and organic feel—perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic of the celebration.

In addition to the stunning cake, guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated assortment of miniature desserts, offering something sweet for every palate:

Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies – A classic favorite in bite-sized form.

Mini Strawberry Cupcakes – Topped with rich cream cheese frosting for the perfect balance of tart and sweet.

Salted Caramel Macarons – A sophisticated treat with a hint of indulgent caramel and sea salt.

Mini Raspberry Cheesecakes – Creamy and vibrant, each bite bursting with berry flavor.

Fruit Tarts – Crisp shells filled with pastry cream and topped with fresh, colorful fruit.

Ricotta Cookies – Light, tender, and delicately sweet—an Italian-inspired finish to the dessert spread.

Together, the cake and mini desserts created a visually stunning and delicious finale to an unforgettable evening.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Live music played a central role in Rachel and Jesse’s ceremony, adding depth and emotion to each moment. It began with a cellist welcoming guests as they arrived, setting an elegant tone for the day. During the couple’s traditional Jewish ceremony, the beautiful vocals of Cantorial Soloist Emily Kaye brought a spiritual richness to the proceedings. Just as Rachel prepared to walk down the aisle, Bruce Kirkwood made a dramatic entrance with his electric violin—creating a powerful and unforgettable moment as she took her first steps toward Jesse. Bruce continued to play throughout the night, even through the reception, side by side with the DJ. “Curating the playlist for Jesse and Rachel really flexed my personal preferences, which is why it was so unforgettable. They had a clear vision inspired by Miami nightclubs—not just in the lighting and decor, but especially in the after-party vibes. As a proud Swiftie, Rachael wanted Taylor Swift to be woven throughout the night, from sweet acoustic moments to high-energy remixes. Pair that with her love for EDM, and we crafted a soundtrack that was both personal and electric. When guests stepped into the after-party space, it felt like entering a different world—one where love, music, and celebration collided on the dance floor. Truly a night to remember.” – Tyler Sherman, DJ and Owner of Engage Entertainment

Getting Married In Winter? Here Are A Few Options To Keep Warm While Still Feeling Like A Bride

To all our beautiful snow bunny brides – this one’s for you! If it’s going to be room temperature or colder and your wedding is indoors, you can probably get away with wearing a gown with sleeves. This will provide a little added warmth during the limited time that you will spend outside. Buttt… if it’s going to be below freezing or your gown does not have sleeves, there are a few options that can add extra warmth and coverage without sacrificing style! Lucky for you, we’re dishing all the must-know details below!

Capes

A flowing garment that goes over your gown. They follow the line of the shoulder and usually cover the arm up to the elbow. Capes come in a variety of fabrics, so there’s bound to be one that fits your vision perfectly.

Toppers

A piece that resembles a bodice that goes over the existing bodice on your gown. These come in a wide array of styles and fabrics, the most popular being lace and other sheer materials so as not to completely hide the existing bodice underneath. They can be permanently attached to the gown or fashioned to be removable.

Jackets

Don’t be afraid to have fun with outerwear! A jacket can be a great statement piece that expresses your personality. Leather, denim, and faux fur are all great options to explore. Make sure to bring an actual winter jacket if it is going to be below freezing on your wedding day. These accessories only help a little when it comes to providing warmth, but you will need legit  winter wear if you are going to be exposed to the elements for a prolonged period of time.

BEST FABRICS FOR EACH SEASON

Certain fabrics work better for different seasons based on comfort and style. Spring and summer events call for lighter, more flowy fabrics like English net, tulle, chiffon, organza, charmeuse, taffeta, Chantilly lace, and shantung. On the flip side, fall and winter weddings may be more comfortable with heavier, more ornate fabrics like duchess satin, crepe, gazar, Guipure lace, Alencon lace, velvet, and faille.

Deco-Glamour Meets Garden Romance in a Wedding of Serape Rose, Teal & Blush

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding palette was a striking blend of bold and romantic—serape rose, teal, black, and shimmering metallics for a touch of deco glamour, softened later by layers of blush, pink, and gray for an elegant Southern garden feel.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The evening was thoughtfully designed as a layered journey through space, light, and emotion—each transition reflecting a new facet of the couple’s story. Guests were first welcomed into the museum’s open-air courtyard for a heartfelt ceremony, serenaded by a live harpist and violinist—an especially moving detail, as the violinist was Josh’s sister, adding a deeply personal touch to the moment. From there, the celebration moved upstairs to the cultural living room for cocktail hour. This space was transformed into a glitzy, deco-inspired lounge, rich with moody elegance. The color palette—serape rose, teal, black, and sparkle—evoked a sense of old-world glamour with a fresh, modern twist. Guests sipped cocktails while watching the sky soften into sunset through the windows. As the sun dipped, guests were invited downstairs for a seated dinner—a Southern Garden reimagining of the upstairs lounge. The design softened into tones of pinks, blush, gray, black, and serape rose, creating a romantic and grounded atmosphere that brought warmth and intimacy to the evening’s next chapter. Each space was not only visually distinct but emotionally resonant—designed to feel like a progression through the couple’s love story: elegant, personal, and artfully composed.

Initially, Josh told CJ he was not able to make it due to work; however, Josh was secretly planning to travel to Arkansas from Massachusetts before CJ, to be there at their house waiting for CJ to arrive to propose to him. It all worked perfectly. Josh was inside their first home purchased together, waiting for CJ.

For the cocktail hour, guests were transported to a bold and sophisticated world inside the upstairs cultural living room. Plush seating, golden accents, and moody lighting gave the space a luxurious edge while still feeling inviting and warm—a perfect backdrop for gathering and conversation as the sun began to set. Downstairs, the reception took on a more romantic, garden-inspired tone—a Southern reimagining of the glamour above. The color palette softened into pinks, blush, serape rose, black, and soft gray, with layered textures, lush floral moments, and candlelight creating an atmosphere of intimacy and elegance. Every detail—from the floral arrangements to the linen choices—was curated to evoke both refinement and heartfelt connection. Together, the two spaces told a seamless visual story: bold celebration giving way to romantic warmth, echoing the natural rhythm of the day and the couple’s journey.

This modern statement cake was as much a piece of art as it was a dessert. Designed with clean, architectural lines, the multi-tiered confection featured alternating solid and clear layers, creating a striking sense of height and dimension. Soft blush and ivory roses cascaded down the front, adding a romantic contrast to the sleek white structure. The base was adorned with scattered rose petals and glowing candles, creating a dreamy vignette that felt both elevated and effortless—perfectly in tune with the couple’s refined, romantic aesthetic.

A Romantic Bridgerton Wedding on the Longest Day of the Year

So many beautiful hues of pinks, greens, blues, and yellows. The night before, we hinted at what was to come. With a classy and casual rehearsal dinner that flowed seamlessly into the welcome party. An elegant palette of greens and whites welcomed our guests to Richmond, Virginia.

We were inspired by the feeling of summer starting. Hence why we were insistent on marrying on the summer solstice. From an audio and visual experience, we entirely pulled inspiration from the show Bridgerton. It is just so pleasant to watch due to the detail and extravagance of so much intention.

AJ and Alyssa met in July of 2014, on Alyssa’s annual family vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. Through all of high school, and then College at Salisbury University on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, OCMD was where they spent summers and always their favorite place. 9 years late, on the anniversary of their meeting, AJ proposed on the beach. The whole family and so many friends showed up immediately after to celebrate their love story.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

As a lifetime admirer of fashion, I was so excited to decide what to wear. Through so much research and a small handful of appointments, I curated 4 distinct looks through two dresses. My ceremony ensemble was something I will forever appreciate. The soft silk corset gown I wore was selected near my hometown in Maryland during an impromptu bridal appointment (my first ever) with my mom and MOH by my side. Through alterations, I completely reimagined the bodice to create the classic and refined lines I was looking for. I paired the Martina Liana dress with a whimsical and romantic tulle overskirt and veil, both Chosen by Khya—, nd lastly a complementary neck scarf by A La Robe. The skirt, veil, and scarf were the perfect finishing touches, all of which I found in a local Tampa bridal boutique, which is the city in which AJ and I live and work. My second dress was a full Grace Loves Lace moment. A strapless satin mini dress made better with a lace sheath underskirt and matching sleeves. I loved how fluid my looks were and how easy it was to completely change the vibe and feel of what I was wearing—without ever having to leave the room.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

I loved the dresses my girls wore. So much. Each dress shone through the style of each of my best friends, while all came together in the perfect balance of colors, textures, patterns, and style. Jenny Yoo, Revelry, Show me your mumu, Revelry, and more brands made appearances throughout the gowns.

[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

I loved the guys in a lighter blue hue, while the groom shone in an elevated and classic color. Not quite navy, but the perfect summer formal blue. The Groom has a 2nd look too! He changed into a green slick green suit to dance the night away.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]From the very first sip, Alyssa and AJ set the tone for a celebration to remember. Guests were greeted pre-ceremony with a glass of bubbly. Post “I do,” signature cocktails reflected the couple’s personal flair: his, a smooth Old Fashioned; hers, a chic French Martini.

Dinner unfolded under the glow of candlelight, where guests were encouraged to mix, mingle, and savor. The couple opted for family-style entrees, creating the intimate feel of a dinner party among friends. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Drawing inspiration from the elegance of the Estate at River Run and the romantic world of Bridgerton, Alyssa and AJ’s wedding design was a whimsical garden fête in celebration of the summer solstice. Florals took center stage—lush, oversized blooms in a palette of pinks, whites, and greens with delicate touches of blue added texture and charm throughout the day. The ceremony unfolded on the estate’s sweeping patio, framed by abundant blooms that echoed the natural beauty of the surroundings. During cocktail hour, petite basket arrangements filled with fresh fruit and florals added a playful yet refined touch. Inside the Summer Court Pavilion, centerpieces delighted the eye with a curated mix of gold taper candles, bud vases, compotes, and elevated arrangements—all nodding to the carefree elegance of a European garden party.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Alyssa and AJ’s wedding cake was a true nod to vintage elegance- a classic all-white tiered beauty dressed in intricate piping and timeless style. The icing on top? Naturally, they didn’t just cut the cake; they made a whole moment of it in the estate’s moody, candlelit wine cellar.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The music set the tone for the day with Bridgerton-inspired string arrangements that blended classical romance with a modern twist. Think timeless elegance meets unexpected pop favorites—because nothing says “happily ever after” like a string quartet playing Taylor Swift.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]To close out cocktail hour, guests were invited into the Wedgewood Ballroom to witness a moment of magic, the bride and groom’s showstopping first dance. Friends and family lined the room’s perimeter and watched from the loft above, creating a full-circle view as the newlyweds twirled across the floor to cheers and applause. It was the kind of grand entrance that felt straight out of a movie and set the tone for an unforgettable evening ahead.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The bride’s bouquet was nothing short of showstopping, cascading with draping blooms, while each bridesmaid carried a chic monofloral bouquet tailored to complement her dress.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Alyssa and AJ’s signature monogram made a statement throughout the celebration- proof that personal touches make all the difference. From custom cocktail napkins, service towels, and matchbooks to a grand cameo-inspired seating display, every detail was thoughtfully curated. Grecian busts added an artful nod to the romantic setting, and parasols were offered for guests to create their own little moment of shade (and style). It was personalization done to perfection, with a wink of old-world charm.[/field]
