An Elevated Castle Garden Ceremony and Modern Orangery Reception Tied by All-Hue Florals

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The couples vision was to achieve a sleek, contemporary design predominantly in black and white, accentuated by colorful flowers in muted, dusty tones.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We didn’t limit the color palette for the florals as we wanted to include all shades. The ceremony exuded a modern, elevated garden ambiance, set against the picturesque backdrop of a Scottish garden and its stunning castle. The reception, held in the Orangery, embraced a predominantly modern aesthetic. The floral arrangements seamlessly tied the entire event together.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]On a road trip to the Grand Tetons with our friends, Brandon proposed on a mountainside while my favorite song played in the background. That song was also the song I walked down the aisle to during our ceremony.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The Brides gown was a modern Sarah Seven design with an asymmetrical neckline. Although I had a reception dress, I loved my wedding dress so much that I didn’t change into my second dress until just before the last song. My second dress was also a Sarah Seven but was short and tweed, which seemed fitting in Scotland.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

All of the bridesmaids had completely different dresses in both style and color. I didn’t want to limit them to standard “bridesmaid dresses” and suggested they just look for dresses they liked in the four different colors I chose. Their floral bouquets were all different and were created especially to complement each bridesmaid dress individually.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]

Our food was provided by the amazing team at Carlowrie Castle. We knew we absolutely wanted beef wellington for the wedding dinner and shepherd’s pie for the rehearsal dinner – two of our all time favorite dishes – and the chef made it happen. We hired a mixologist from Pure Bartending to replicate some of our favorite cocktails and then we named them ourselves. The cocktail that represented me was a drink that my dad makes for me and we called it “The Pretty Pretty Princess.” For Brandon’s cocktail, we named it the “Double B” as a nod to his name. Our final cocktail was a representation of both of us and we named it after our dog, Kip! We also had stir sticks in all of the cocktails that were renderings of Kip in acrylic.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Some of our favorite decor elements were the design of the signage and paper goods. In tribute to our love of reading, we commissioned a large bookshelf in place of a traditional seating chart. Each guest had a personalized book on the shelf, complete with their table number. The bookshelf was elegantly adorned with florals and candles. The rest of our signage featured various shapes and textures, maintaining an ultra-modern and unique aesthetic. My grandmother’s embroidery of our wedding logo on all the velvet napkins added a beautifully personal touch to our tablescape which featured amazing, garden-style florals and textured candles.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we opted for sticky toffee pudding, one of my favorite desserts popular in the UK. Since there was no cake to cut, we did a champagne tower to kick off the toasts following the serving of the sticky toffee pudding.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]As guests arrived, a traditional piper played the bagpipes. We thought this was a fun way to welcome everyone to this magnificent castle in the Scottish countryside. Brandon’s parents brought one of his late grandfather’s guitars all the way to Scotland so that our friend Kevin (and husband of one of the bridesmaids!) could play the acoustic guitar as the wedding party walked down the aisle. I walked down the aisle to a live acoustic recording of Mumford and Son’s Rose of Sharon, my favorite song which Brandon also played as he proposed.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Given the brides family’s Scottish heritage, Alex’s dad and grandpa wore their family tartan. One wore the clan tartan and the other wore the clan’s hunting tartan.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Instead of a traditional welcome table, we hosted a photo table inside the castle. Our parents and grandparent’s wedding photos were displayed here in Tiffany frames. We then gifted these to our families afterward as a keepsake.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Since we couldn’t bring our dog Kip all the way to Scotland to be a part of our wedding, we named a cocktail after him and had acrylic stir sticks made in his likeness. People loved them so much they took them home with them!

A Bi-Coastal Romance Celebrated in the Hillsides of Napa

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Allen and Shante brought their East Coast and West Coast roots together for one unforgettable wedding night in the picturesque setting of Napa, California. The Meritage Resort set the tone with its serene, elegant atmosphere, nestled among sun-soaked vineyards and rolling hillside views.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Allen and Shante met in 2011, thanks to Allen’s best friend, Greg. Allen was visiting the Bay Area with his youth basketball team for a championship game when Greg, who knew Shante and her cousin, asked if they could show Allen around San Francisco. Shante remembers pushing back on the idea of playing tour guide for a stranger, but eventually agreed. After that visit, Allen and Shante became “sports friends,” keeping in touch over the years with the occasional call or text to talk trash about each other’s teams. This playful back-and-forth continued until Allen began developing feelings for Shante. By 2016, the two were officially dating. Shante moved to Los Angeles, and not long after, they discovered they were expecting a baby. Their love story began to unfold alongside the start of their growing family, and a few years later, Allen proposed on Christmas Eve.[/field]

A Dreamlike Stroll Through Old-World Europe at Villa Le Fontanelle

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

This shoot was all about capturing that romantic, old-world feeling you get when you’re walking through the streets of Europe—where history and beauty are woven into every corner. The vision came together through such a creative and intentional team, and being at Villa Le Fontanelle felt like stepping into a dream. From the textures to the light, every detail was designed to reflect something timeless but still deeply alive and emotive.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Warm ivory & creamy beige – soft linens, plaster walls, and paper goods

Dusty rose & muted blush – found in florals, lips, and textiles

Elegant golds & champagne – subtle metallics in details like jewelry, shoes, and décor

Earthy taupes & warm greys – table linens, shadows, and stone textures

Olive green & soft sage – tucked into florals and natural backdrops[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Villa Le Fontanelle is the kind of place that instantly makes you pause—it carries a quiet grandeur, the kind that whispers stories from centuries past. Nestled in the Tuscan hills overlooking Florence, the villa is wrapped in history and romance, from its manicured Italian gardens to its sun-washed stone terraces. The architecture blends Renaissance elegance with lived-in charm, creating spaces that feel both regal and intimate. Inside, arched hallways, frescoed ceilings, and antique furnishings set the tone for timeless celebration. Every corner of the property feels like a painting—effortlessly cinematic, full of soul, and perfect for couples who want their wedding to feel like an escape into something truly magical.

Its structured silhouette was softened by delicate details and fluid movement, creating a striking balance between timeless and fashion-forward. Every angle of the dress told a story—it felt bold and effortless all at once.

Paired with it was the most ethereal veil by @rebeccaannedesigns, adorned with soft embroidery that caught the light like whispers of poetry. It floated behind the bride like a quiet dream, adding that perfect hint of softness and soul. Together, the gown and veil were the heart of the editorial’s visual language—refined, editorial, and deeply romantic.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals by @sebastian_flowers_italy felt like poetry in bloom—loose, romantic arrangements that danced between structure and softness. The palette was rooted in warm neutrals with gentle hints of blush and muted greenery, echoing the aged beauty of the villa and the surrounding Tuscan landscape. Every floral element—from the asymmetrical ceremony installation to the hand-tied bridal bouquet—was designed with an artful eye and an organic spirit. It didn’t feel overdone; it felt felt, like nature had quietly curated the moment itself.

The decor followed that same soulful elegance. Antique-inspired rentals from @preludiodivisionenoleggio paired beautifully with natural textures—linen runners, aged brass, soft candlelight—creating a tablescape that felt as intimate as it was refined. It was all about layering depth and warmth without losing the clean, editorial aesthetic. The result was an atmosphere that invited people to linger, connect, and be moved.

I would reach out to the florist to get the exact types of florals they were since I am not an expert. [/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

What stood out most to me was the way fashion and setting worked together so seamlessly. The softness of the veil against the weathered stone, the structured gown framed by ivy-covered archways—it felt like a love letter between old and new. That layered contrast was the heartbeat of the whole shoot.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]I would reach out to the HMUA and see what their thoughts are for this. [/field]
[field title=”DIY Moments”]

This shoot was part of a larger creative experience I took part in during the Art of Luxury retreat last summer, and while each editorial offered something unique, this one stayed with me in a big way. I didn’t have a hand in the actual planning or florals, but as a photographer, it was a dream to step into a setting like this—so thoughtfully designed, so rich in texture and feeling. Everything came together so effortlessly that it made capturing it feel almost meditative. I could honestly photograph here all day, every day—Villa Le Fontanelle has that kind of magic.

A Spanish-Inspired Pastel Celebration With Terracotta Warmth and Cultural Soul

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our wedding color palette was a sophisticated blend of mature pastels in the florals, paired with warm terracotta tones and traditional Spanish-style decor. This combination created a harmonious balance between soft, romantic touches and rich, earthy elements that honored the cultural roots of our celebration. The result was an inviting, timeless atmosphere full of depth and warmth.

Our wedding was a bold and joyful celebration, bursting with color, personality, and unapologetic authenticity. Inspired by our Spanish roots and modern love story, we created a vibrant experience that blended tradition with playful design, cultural richness with contemporary flair. Every detail was intentionally us—festive, full of heart, and made to celebrate love in all its forms.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

We didn’t plan to propose to each other on the same trip, and certainly not within the same 24 hours, but Paris had other plans for us. That morning, he surprised me in the gardens of Versailles with a quiet, heartfelt proposal, surrounded by history, beauty, and blooming symmetry. I was completely overwhelmed in the best way, but what he didn’t know was that I had been carrying a ring too. That night, under the glittering lights of the Eiffel Tower, I asked him the very same question, unable to hold it in any longer. It turns out we had both been waiting for the perfect moment, and in true “us” fashion, we accidentally created two. One story, two proposals, and a whole lot of love.

The evening began with a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres that set the tone for the night, including bite-sized bursts of seasonal ingredients and creative pairings. From the first cocktail to the final bite, every element was designed to feel luxurious yet approachable, adding to the sense of celebration and indulgence.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

For the floral design, we wanted our wedding to feel like a whimsical garden come to life—fun, vibrant, and a little bit wild. We leaned into playful textures and an abundance of colorful wildflowers that felt fresh, organic, and completely unstructured. The goal was to create an environment where our guests felt like they were stepping into a dreamlike garden, full of movement and joy, as if they were playing in a field of blooms. It was romantic without being too polished, and every arrangement was designed to feel natural, expressive, and full of personality—just like us. Floral Designer: @knotjustflowers

A Modern Garden Party with Playful Patterns and a Fresh Blue-Green Palette

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Muted Teal, Light Chartreuse, Sage, Light Blue, Slate Blue, Olive Green, White, Nude[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vision behind Elizabeth’s wedding design was playful elegance – bringing a modern twist to an elevated garden party. We took the classic blue and green palette to the next level with a pop of fresh teal, and married several underlying motifs: scallops, stripes, florals, and dots. Every element blended so harmoniously for an indescribably perfect wedding day for Elizabeth and Chase.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Locals to Charlotte, NC, Chase invited Elizabeth to dinner and a walk through a park in uptown. Elizabeth’s gown from Angolique bridal perfectly complemented her petite figure and showcased her elegant taste. When she put on her gown as the fourth dress in the line-up, she says she “just knew” and didn’t want to try on anything else.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The light blue bridesmaids’ dresses from Bella Bridesmaids were the perfect shade of blue to complement the wedding color palette. Elizabeth also selected bridesmaids’ PJs to get ready in that perfectly matched the design of her wedding shoes with a bold green lattice design.

From the passed espresso martinis to the custom scallop serving trays, there was never a dull moment in the food and beverage category of this event. We brought the subtle motif of Elizabeth’s save the date pattern through to the base of the serving platters and on the backs of the bar shelving in the stunning central bar of the sailcloth tent. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails in carefully curated glassware to match the aesthetic of the event.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The most important element of the stunning sailcloth tent design was the tree installations on each sailcloth tent pole. These trees, expertly fabricated by Becca Zorn Design, brought the event ambience to the next level. BBJ La Tavola’s stunning Josephine Sage linen was the foundation of the wedding design. This linen included every single color in Elizabeth’s palette, and inspired the muted teal ecustom-painted central bar and fun pops of light chartreuse in the napkins and stationery.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Elizabeth and Chase chose to skip the traditional wedding cake and opted for delicious local ice cream from Clare’s Creamery. And the cohesive light chartreuse ice cream truck was to die for![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

One of our favorite aspects of Elizabeth’s wedding was her curated stationery. Her custom scallop menu cards with watercolor-scripted names at the top were one of a kind. And her umbrella Lake Day invitation, combined with vibrant invitation suite elements, set the tone for the whole weekend.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Elizabeth’s head table napkin was a custom creation by the planning team combining two light chartreuse napkins, twisting them, and creating a bubble braid effect to give the appearance of scalloped edges.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]By far my favorite element of the wedding ceremony was the alternating color of Curated Events chairs in each column. This created the perfect extension of the stripe motif with an aerial view.[/field]

A Laid-Back Garden Celebration with Fresh Florals and an Atmosphere That Felt Like Home

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Madden and Davis’s wedding day was a vibrant celebration of color, with a fresh palette of lavender, chartreuse. The unexpected combination felt both playful and true to Madden’s personality, weaving through every detail from the florals to the stationery. These hues brought a garden-like charm to the celebration, perfectly reflecting the couple’s joyful, modern style.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Madden and Davis envisioned a wedding that felt laid-back and effortlessly inviting—like a weekend garden party with the people they love most. They leaned into a relaxed, open-air atmosphere filled with fresh florals, soft lighting, and meaningful touches that made it feel like home. Every detail, from the cozy lounge areas to the cocktail tables, reflected their desire for a day that was inviting and effortless.

Madden gave her bridesmaids the freedom to choose their own dresses, drawing inspiration from the wedding’s fresh palette of lavender, chartreuse, and green. To top it off, Madden and Davis served a bold and zesty signature cocktail—a spicy margarita with a kick that quickly became a crowd favorite.
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Madden and Davis wanted their reception to feel less like a formal event and more like an unforgettable party. They created a dynamic, social atmosphere with soft lounge seating mixed with communal high-top tables, inviting guests to flow freely and celebrate comfortably. Whimsical floral installations were tucked throughout the room adding bursts of color and movement that brought the whole space to life.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came when Madden’s dad took the mic and surprised her mom, Jennifer, with an unexpected—and hilarious—trophy for MVP. It was his way of honoring her behind-the-scenes dedication and setting the tone for a night full of laughter and dancing. The gesture kicked off the dance floor with joy and energy, instantly bringing everyone to their feet.

Their set was electric—equal parts nostalgic and high-energy—as they played crowd favorites and a few original songs. It was a personal, unforgettable touch that had guests cheering, dancing, and singing along well into the night.

A Mediterranean Wedding in Greece Defined by Sculptural Bows, Dreamy Florals, and Candlelight

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

From floral arrangements inspired by the Mediterranean to exquisite organic Greek cuisine, every detail enhances the love story of each couple. Inspired by the timeless elegance of the venue and the growing trend of statement bows in weddings, Vicky Galata Weddings & Events envisioned a luxury organic theme where nature and refined design harmonize. At the heart of the ceremony space, a grand sculptural bow served as a breathtaking focal point, symbolizing unity and grace. Crafted from flowing, sustainable fabrics in soft neutral tones, it complemented the natural surroundings while making a bold statement. Vicky Galata, the wedding planner, created a breathtaking focal point with a grand, oversized bow, symbolizing elegance and unity, placed as the centerpiece of the space. Surrounding the bow, she arranged luxurious velvet stools for seating, offering a comfortable yet chic touch for guests. To add an ethereal quality, she incorporated “clouds” of flower arrangements, soft and delicate, creating a dreamy atmosphere for the couple to exchange vows. The combination of these elements sets the stage for a romantic and unforgettable ceremony, where every detail speaks to beauty and love. The couple and their guests enjoyed an exquisite fine dining experience, set beneath a canopy of soft candlelight and stunning chandeliers suspended low over the floor. The ambiance was both romantic and dramatic, with the flicker of candle flames casting a warm glow over the elegant table settings. Wine flowed freely, complementing the delicious meal, while music played loudly, adding energy and vibrancy to the evening. The atmosphere was electric yet intimate, perfectly capturing the spirit of celebration and love.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The floral design played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. We chose natural, organic flowers in a palette of earthy tones, soft blushes, and deep greens, adding a subtle yet dramatic touch to the setting. Inspired by Tuscany’s effortless charm, the ceremony space was adorned with “clouds” of delicate floral arrangements, carefully layered for depth and movement. Scattered stones, church-thin candles, and fresh fruits completed the aesthetic, evoking the romance of an old-world European celebration.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Nestled in the rolling hills of Athens, the Nasioutzik Mansion is a neoclassical gem where history and romance intertwine. Once home to writer and collector mr Nasioutzik, this estate now serves as an exclusive event space, blending cultural heritage with modern luxury. The mansion offers stone-paved courtyards, ornate archways, and lush gardens, creating an enchanting Mediterranean atmosphere. Its antique-filled halls exude sophistication, while olive groves and cypress trees add a natural charm to any wedding celebration. For couples seeking a luxurious yet organic wedding, Nasioutzik Mansion provides a stunning backdrop where opulence meets sustainability.

[section title=”The Fashion”]
[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Fashion played an equally significant role in elevating the aesthetic. The bride wore a breathtaking high-fashion designer gown, embodying this year’s trend of bold floral embellishments. The voluminous blooms on her dress added an artistic and avant-garde touch, seamlessly blending with the organic surroundings. With its elegant silhouette and couture craftsmanship, the gown exuded both luxury and romance. The groom, maintaining a timeless appeal, opted for a classic black tie ensemble—chic, refined, and effortlessly sophisticated. His attire provided the perfect contrast to the ethereal bridal look, striking a balance between modern fashion and timeless elegance.
Custom-made white leather shoes featured oversized bows on each shoe, designed to complement the main bow of the ceremony outfit. The bows were elegant and bold, matching the style and fabric of the ceremony’s key bow, creating a cohesive and refined look. Perfect for adding a personalized, sophisticated touch to any formal event.
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Party”]

For a truly unique touch at the wedding, we introduced a live pizza truck that became an unforgettable part of the experience. The truck, stationed in a prime location, was not just a food station—it was an experience in itself. Throughout the day, guests watched as skilled chefs prepared fresh, artisanal pizzas right before their eyes, offering a deliciously interactive and engaging dining experience. This vintage Triumph, adorned with cascading blooms, exudes the effortless romance inspired by the Tuscan countryside. The florals draped over the car’s elegant curves creating a dreamlike entrance for the couple. The blend of old-world charm and nature’s organic beauty evokes a timeless, whimsical atmosphere—one of leisurely drives through sun-drenched roads carrying the scent of wildflowers, and love stories written in the heart of Greece. It’s a vision of rustic elegance and poetic nostalgia, setting the perfect tone for a celebration as enchanting as the landscape that inspired it.

This tablescape embodies an elegant green sage monochromatic theme, exuding a refined yet organic charm. The table setting is grounded in soft sage hues, layered with natural textures and vintage details that create a timeless and harmonious aesthetic. The vintage silver flatware introduces an element of old-world sophistication, enhancing the overall nostalgic appeal. Complementing this, the laced glassware adds delicate intricacy, refracting light beautifully to elevate the table’s elegance. Thoughtfully chosen natural favors, such as artisanal floral-infused soaps, reinforce the organic, sensory experience of the evening. Meanwhile, marble travertine from Italy, subtly embedded with salt details for the dinner, provides a textural and culinary delight, merging aesthetics with function. A striking design feature, the serpentine-shaped menus, gracefully winding along the table, introduce a fluid, artistic element, breaking away from traditional rigid layouts. To personalize the setting further, name tags affixed to the base of wine glasses offer a stylish and unexpected detail, ensuring each guest feels considered. Altogether, this composition achieves a captivating balance between vintage refinement and modern organic elegance, making the tablescape not just a setting but a statement.

[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

The reception design embraced an unconventional and artistic approach, featuring a uniquely shaped table arrangement. The open rectangular layout encouraged intimacy while drawing the eye toward the breathtaking floral installation at its center—designed to resemble a lush, growing garden. Wild greenery, delicate blooms, and organic textures blended effortlessly, bringing nature to the heart of the celebration. Chandeliers, instead of hanging overhead, were elegantly placed on the floor, casting a soft, golden glow that enhanced the ethereal ambiance. The juxtaposition of refined elegance with raw, organic elements created a striking yet harmonious balance, perfect for a luxury wedding infused with natural beauty.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]The stationery perfectly reflected the event’s elegant and romantic aesthetic. Designed in soft sage green and ivory, it featured hand-drawn illustrations, delicate script, and embossed details. A grand bow motif tied into the wedding’s theme, while wax seals, filigree patterns, and custom venue sketches added a personal touch. Designing décor that harmonized with the natural beauty of Los Cabos was a particularly joyful and fulfilling part of the experience.[/field]

Several Pakistani traditions were woven into the celebration. A week before the wedding, Saimah’s family hosted a lively dholki—a traditional pre-wedding gathering filled with music and dance—where Pete enthusiastically participated, trying his hand at the dhol drum and some spirited bhangra moves. Saimah also had intricate henna applied to her hands, with Pete’s name hidden within the design. A Southern Soirée of Bridgerton Blues, Feminine Florals, and Timeless Elegance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The reception design showcased Symone’s favorite color palettes, chosen for their timeless and personal appeal, with each room offering a unique experience. The living room and terrace highlighted a Bridgerton-inspired palette of blues, blushes, and yellows with textured linens and floral decor. The dining room radiated femininity with pinks, oranges, and peaches, while the ballroom emphasized elegance with all-white florals symbolizing new beginnings!

When choosing the design for the reception, I wanted to highlight my favorite color palettes that I have used throughout my nearly 10 years in the industry as a wedding and event designer. I aimed to select designs that have stood the test of time and would always be classically beautiful and true to my personal style. Due to the size of the Mountain Brook Club, I chose three different palettes to create separate experiences for guests within each room. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by full floral archways that reflected the color scheme of their respective rooms. The Bridgerton-inspired color palette that came to life in the living room and terrace focused on light blues, blushes, yellows, and an overall woodland garden style. Linens with as much texture as the florals are always a must, so I paired a two-tone green linen with rattan sofas and a neutral wooden chair to ensure guests felt all the comforts of al fresco dining throughout this southern summer evening. For the dining room, I selected a feminine dream palette of pinks, oranges, and peaches. I have always had a very “girly” side, so this was an instant yes! The abundance of natural light highlighted the classic attributes of this 1929 Colonial Revival, including the iconic dancing guest murals that share the same hues. Lastly, I couldn’t have a true Southern wedding without incorporating all-white florals in the ballroom. Traditionally, all-white wedding florals symbolize new beginnings, making the ballroom—the epicenter of the celebration—the perfect setting for this color scheme. I focused on emphasizing the room’s 1800s-inspired elegance with cascading installations and ornate focal arrangements.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Every year, Symone’s family celebrates Thanksgiving with a large lunch (over 70 guests) at their family’s farm in Brierfield, Alabama. It is her favorite holiday, and Daniel knew it was the perfect time to propose. That morning, Symone’s mother, Dorothy, went early to help set up. This alerted Symone, as her mother hadn’t gone to the farm early to set up in over 15 years ha! Upon arrival, Daniel suggested that they take his parents on a tour of the property, as this was their first time at the Shaw Thanksgiving. Symone agreed, and they started the tour, which inevitably ended at a bank on the Cahaba River (that runs through the property). When they arrived, Daniel had set up flowers and champagne, and Symone instantly knew—he was about to propose! The rest of the day was spent in bliss amongst the couple’s family. Symone says she couldn’t imagine a more perfect proposal.

When it came to selecting the perfect gown, Symone had a specific vision in mind– a ballgown that celebrates the beauty of southern elegance but with a modern spin! After a little light research, she found a gown by designer Rita Vinieris that checked all of the boxes! When it came to trying this specific dress on, there was only 1 in the entire state, and it happened to be a 15-minute drive from her home! It was fate! In order to make sure she wasn’t missing anything else, she tried on 3 other dress styles, but nothing spoke to her. The Rita Vinieris ball gown was the 4th dress she put on, and she instantly knew it was the one!

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids each wore a gown of their choosing! It was important to Symone that everyone felt comfortable, beautiful, and didn’t break the bank for a dress they won’t wear again. The only requirement was that it had to be floor-length and a shade of green!

When it came to the menu for the evening, the couple decided to serve southern staples due to a large majority of the guests traveling in from across the country! Guests enjoyed corn pones, braised beef bourguignon, and rich mac & cheese alongside seasonal vegetables. Passed oysters on the half shell and pork belly toast points were also enjoyed throughout the evening!

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

When choosing the design for the reception, Symone wanted to highlight her favorite color palettes that she has used throughout her nearly 10 years in the industry as a wedding and event designer. She aimed to select designs that have stood the test of time and would always be classically beautiful and true to her personal style. Due to the size of the Mountain Brook Club, she chose three different palettes to create separate experiences for guests within each room. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by full floral archways that reflected the color scheme of their respective rooms. The Bridgerton-inspired color palette that came to life in the living room and terrace focused on light blues, blushes, yellows, and an overall woodland garden style. Linens with as much texture as the florals are always a must, so she paired a two-tone green linen with rattan sofas and a neutral wooden chair to ensure guests felt all the comforts of al fresco dining throughout this southern summer evening. For the dining room, Symone selected a feminine dream palette of pinks, oranges, and peaches. She has always had a very “girly” side, so this was a no-brainer! The abundance of natural light highlighted the classic attributes of this 1929 Colonial Revival, including the iconic dancing guest murals that share the same hues. Lastly, Symone couldn’t have a true Southern wedding without incorporating all-white florals in the ballroom. Traditionally, all-white wedding florals symbolize new beginnings, making the ballroom—the epicenter of the celebration—the perfect setting for this color scheme. She focused on emphasizing the room’s 1800s-inspired elegance with cascading installations and ornate focal arrangements.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Daughters Baking was always the frontrunner in Symone & Daniel’s minds when it came to their wedding cake! Although Symone loves the look of vintage coquette-style cakes, taste was her main priority. The bride chose Daughters’ popular wedding cake flavor, while the groom opted for a decadent triple chocolate and peanut butter flavor!

A Baja Love Story of Color, Soul, and Modern Mexican Elegance at Hotel San Cristóbal

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Brittany had a clear creative instinct from the beginning. She was drawn to rich colors, natural textures, and a modern take on Mexican flair. The inspiration came from the landscape of Todos Santos itself — sun-faded tones, bougainvillea in bloom, and the earthy elegance of the Baja desert. Vibrant, artistic, modern Mexican, warm, joyful, with an effortlessly stylish twist. A blend of bold floral statements and intimate, organic textures — it was a celebration full of heart and soul.

Set in the heart of Todos Santos, Brittany and Cody’s wedding was the perfect blend of soul, color, and thoughtful design. Planned and produced by Lola del Campo of Lola del Campo Events, the celebration unfolded across carefully curated spaces — from a minimalist chapel entrance overflowing with florals, to a candlelit dinner under the stars at The Cannery. Every detail was intentional: custom-designed linens inspired by the Baja landscape, a modern-meets-Mexican palette of bold reds and soft blush tones, and a tablescape layered with handwoven textures and glassware. But what truly made this wedding unforgettable were the emotional moments — a custom song written and performed for the couple during dinner, fireworks choreographed to music, and the kind of joyful, grounded energy that only comes from a couple deeply in love and a team deeply invested in the experience. This was not just a wedding — it was a story that unfolded through color, music, and connection.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Brittany and Cody first met at a bar in San Francisco on a Saturday night. Cody was with many of his friends (a very big group!), and Brittany was with one of her closest friends for a girls’ night out. Cody and Brittany locked eyes almost immediately from across the room and didn’t take their eyes off each other until Cody made the first move. He came right up to Brittany and sat down next to her and introduced himself. They’ve been inseparable since! They went to Japan as their first big trip together. They toured around Tokyo and Kyoto, having the best time eating their way through the fish market and train stations. They made reservations and just went with the flow for most of the trip. They then went to a small island south of Japan, called Okinawa. They stayed in a traditional Japanese resort with many unfamiliar cultural differences. Cody had set up a champagne and flower picnic on the beach for when they first arrived. Brittany immediately knew it was going to happen and was so happy to just take in each other, where they were in the world, and that really special moment between just the two of them. He proposed there on the beach after holding each other for a few moments to take it all in.

For the ceremony, Brittany wore a sleek and romantic gown with off-the-shoulder straps, which she bought at And Something Blue Bridal Shop in San Francisco, and had alterations on it to really fit her style and desired look. Floral appliqués on the veil connected the entire bridal look that was elegant, minimal, and modern. Later, for the dancing and party, she changed into a beautiful party dress, individually hand embellished with white crystal waterfall beading and sequins by Nadine Merabi.

A favorite detail and a conversation starter during Brittany and Cody’s Welcome Party was a fisherman’s panga, which was filled with ice and served as a food station with freshly caught oysters as well as cold beer and wine. For the wedding reception, the menu consisted farm-to-table salad with watermelon, organic tomatoes, and berries. The main course was catch of the day with pistachio mole, and for dessert, the couple opted for everyone’s favorite Mexican treat: churros with chocolate sauce.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Florals truly marked each event of the day. For the wedding ceremony, Lola del Campo created a bold installation with overflowing florals in hues that ranged from warm yellow to deep reds at the chapel of Hotel San Cristobal. For the reception dinner, Lola and her team created low sculptural arrangements on the dinner tables. They brought energy, depth, and modern romance. The palette leaned into rich reds, soft blushes, and desert tones — lively but curated. For the decor, the design team of Lola del Campo embraced the rustic charm of The Cannery with florals, warm candlelight, and custom-made linens designed specifically for Brittany. Long dining tables were styled with layered glassware, neutral napkins with orange trim, and playful but refined textures. The ceremony was framed with floral arrangements in rich Baja colors. Everything was custom-designed — there were no DIY elements.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Brittany and Cody chose churros to be their wedding dessert.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The style of Brittany and Cody’s wedding was joyful, romantic, and design-forward — warm desert hues with bold floral pops. No formal religious or cultural elements were included in the ceremony, but the Baja setting and spirit of the day made it feel soulful and meaningful.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

“My favorite moment was sharing vows with Cody privately and taking in that moment with each other. And then I’m really looking forward to walking down the aisle with my two nieces (11 & 12) and sharing that moment with them as well. And finally, the entire reception should be REALLY, really fun, so I’m excited to dance the night away,” explained Brittany when talking about her most anticipated moments during her wedding weekend.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

“What I love most about Brittany and Cody is their raw authenticity, love, and emotions. Throughout their wedding weekend, they laughed and cried with no restraint, and we all laughed and cried with them. Their joy was contagious and I can still remember how their love felt when looking at their wedding photos,” said Romana Lilić, from LA76 Photography, Brittany and Cody’s wedding photographers, and continued: “One of my favorite moments was seeing Cody’s smile when he saw Brittany during first look, the laughter of them both after they said I do and walked down the aisle, and how they immersed themselves in each event of the day.”

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The musician’s original song for the couple, performed live at dinner, was deeply emotional. Later that night, fireworks exploded above the Pacific, choreographed to music — a surprise for the guests and an unforgettable memory for all. It was the sum of intentional design and emotional authenticity. The custom song, the fireworks, the venue’s soul, and the couple’s contagious joy made it one of those weddings that linger in everyone’s heart.

The wedding was held at the couple’s family farm, a cherished property that has been lovingly passed down through generations. A Whimsical Coastal Garden Soirée with a Touch of European Charm at Ponte Vedra Beach

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vision was a coastal garden soirée. We wanted to evoke a little bit of a European vibe with greenery, bright colors, coastal elements, and a garden aesthetic. Our planners sourced the perfect linen, the Spring Balbiano from Nuage Designs, which incorporated our color palette and added to the whimsical, Euro-garden vibe we were after. Rattan Chargers and Napkin rings added a touch of coastal elegance. Our florist covered the venue’s large wrought iron chandeliers in greenery, and they hung tiny glass orbs, which added a touch of whimsy to the overall design. We pulled bright and colorful florals into the paper goods, which featured watercolor elements, including a tiny butterfly and little shells.

We both love skinny margaritas, so that was our signature drink – we called it the Skinny Knockout. Then, later in the night, we opened up a room next to our reception space, and the room featured a dedicated espresso martini bar and late-night bites like pretzel bites and sliders, and fries.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

We wanted the design to be very floral-heavy. Our floral designer used blooms like coral charm peonies, pale blue delphiniums, pink ranunculus, butter yellow stock, pink garden roses, and tiny white daisies. The floral garden vibe was on full display at our ceremony, where lush meadow pieces lined the aisle of our church. These were then repurposed for our reception room to line the stage in front of the band. Our centerpieces were a mix of locompote-style arrangements and pillar candles grouped with bud vases. Our estate tables combined the compote style arrangements, low floral cups, bud vases, and candles for a lush and colorful look. We brought in blonde bentwood chairs, honey rattan chargers, and specialty linens from Nuage and BBJ. We paired the botanical Spring Balbiano linen with the Blush Nantucket stripe from Nuage, and our cocktail hour featured the Elio Poppy linen from BBJ. Our dance floor was a wooden and white checkered floor, and we brought in a white stage facade and white bars. Paper goods featured whimsical watercolor florals, a tiny butterfly, and clamshell detailing.

The ceremony embraced the raw, untouched beauty of Sedona—never competing with it, only complementing it. A natural wood stage grounded the space, while organic, windswept florals framed the setting with a deliberately unstructured, natural vibe. It felt like a moment suspended in nature—where the landscape, the design, and the emotion moved in harmony, speaking a shared, silent language. For cocktail hour, a series of custom-built cabanas lined the lawn, softened with airy draping and clean architectural lines. These shaded lounges created a feeling of ease—luxurious, yet relaxed. A sleek black bar and sculptural escort wall, both thoughtfully designed for the day, introduced modern contrast and personal nuance. Every detail was curated to enhance the natural surroundings, crafting a space that felt elevated, inviting, and entirely reflective of the couple’s vision. The reception design struck a seamless balance between contemporary elegance and grounded warmth. At its heart, a custom-designed DJ booth served as a sculptural centerpiece, framed by architectural panels, modern dome lighting, and curated florals displayed on minimalist pedestals. The composition was thoughtful—each element designed with intention, every texture and silhouette playing its part in creating a serene, sophisticated atmosphere. It was a space that guests in and made a statement, all at once.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

This enchanting waterfront celebration perfectly captured a fresh, garden party aesthetic with sophisticated coastal elegance. The couple envisioned a relaxed yet refined atmosphere where guests could enjoy breathtaking water views while celebrating under the billowing white sailcloth tent. The design seamlessly blended natural elements like woven textures and organic florals with pops of vibrant color, creating a joyful and inviting space that felt both timeless and contemporary.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

While we don’t have the proposal story to share, there’s a delightful, fun fact about this couple’s connection that goes back decades before they even met. The bride and groom’s fathers were actually roommates in college back in the 1980s, making their love story feel like it was truly written in the stars. This sweet coincidence added an extra layer of meaning to their wedding day celebration.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]For getting ready, the bride wore the Shona Joy La Lune Cumulus Silk Plunged Lace Neck Gown in Ivory paired with a vintage Miss Elaine peignoir cape. Her wedding day look featured the Ines Di Santo “Smitten” gown in off-white (customized with fabric-filled sides), topped with the Monique Lhuillier Eloise Bolero—a corded Alençon lace jacket with cap sleeves and button closure. For the getaway, she changed into the Delphine Cleo Mini Dress in Noir/Ivory, styled with Christian Louboutin Sandale du Desert printed sandals in Vintage Rose and a classic black grained leather Uptown YSL pouch.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids made a stunning statement in a vibrant rainbow of colors that brought incredible energy and joy to the celebration. From hot pink and coral to sunny yellow and deep burgundy, each dress featured flowing, floor-length silhouettes in various complementary styles that allowed each bridesmaid’s personality to shine. This bold color palette choice created a beautiful contrast against the natural waterfront setting and added a modern, playful twist to the classic wedding aesthetic.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and his party looked dapper in classic navy blue suits that perfectly complemented the waterfront setting. The groom’s ensemble was elevated with a crisp white dress shirt and coordinating tie, while thoughtful details like boutonnieres added personal touches to each groomsman’s look. The timeless navy blue created a sophisticated foundation that allowed the vibrant bridesmaid colors to truly pop while maintaining an air of coastal elegance.[/field]

The floral design beautifully incorporated fresh white blooms, greenery, and pops of colorful green accents that echoed the bridesmaids’ vibrant palette. Natural woven elements like rattan chandeliers and textured vessels added organic warmth to the waterfront setting, while elegant white sailcloth tents provided an airy, romantic backdrop for the celebration. The decor seamlessly blended coastal charm with garden party elegance, featuring thoughtful details like patterned linens that elevated the overall aesthetic. One of Ruthie’s favorite details from the day is her bouquet.

The couple’s dessert presentation maintained the same elegant, natural aesthetic as the rest of their celebration, with their wedding cake a simple white covered in orchids.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The night before, the couple had their rehearsal dinner at 128 South before moving over to Bakery 105 for the welcome party. This was a nod to their future honeymoon in Italy with the lemon theme. Ruthie notes that her rehearsal outfits were her favorite of the weekend. She wore a Johanna Ortiz Red Petals Strapless Maxi Dress paired with a Jacquemus Rond Carre Small croc-effect leather clutch and Larroude Morgan Sandal in Scarlet Patent Leather.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Ruthie’s bridesmaids were in all different colors, which is one of Ruthie’s favorite details. She had a group of childhood friends, family, high school friends, and college friends, all in different shades that perfectly went together.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Ruthie and George had a getaway car at the end of the night that was the bride’s late grandfather’s 1977 Chevrolet El Camino.
