Princess of Monaco or Queen of California? This Calistoga Bride Is So Grace Kelly!

What we love about today’s wedding is that it’s so utterly classic, and yet so California. If you could bottle up the feeling of a vineyard walk— effortless, romantic, and sun-drenched, with wine glass in hand—you’d find it in the beautiful setting provided by Solage Calistoga. But today’s wedding elevates that relaxed wine country feeling with details that are the very definition of the words classic and timeless. With her swept-back hair and Vera Wang gown, the bride exuded Grace Kelly levels of poise and cool. The pavé-style bouquets and a romantic ceremony arch by Seascape Flowers were pristine– not a petal out of place!– and the the planning & design by Kindred Events Co. was equally flawless. So, settle in, pour a glass of wine, and luxuriate over the full gallery of exquisite photos by Carlie Statsky, and don’t miss the most romantic film by Grover Films at the end of the post!

Words from the bride: A modern take on a timeless, classic wedding. I wanted the classic, romantic wedding that would feel timeless when I looked back at photos years from now.

Calistoga and Solage are both naturally beautiful places that already have a special magic in the air when you are there. The sun seems to shine a little brighter in a happy way and it’s relaxed.

In hopes of complementing the spaces– rather than competing against them– we opted for a neutral color palette with a bit of blush pink, apricot, and champagne for added warmth and beauty. The floral arch was designed to mirror the lace details on my dress and veil, a very personal touch that brought every element together in harmony.

The ceremony and cocktail hour were neutral and classic, though we did introduce a bit of pink to personalize the reception.  Solage is also slightly modern, so I wanted to reflect that in some of the planning details. While I love classic and timeless beauty, not everything we did was traditional; some details were unexpected, youthful, and fresh.

I love flowers and how they can create soft, romantic spaces, so they were very important to me. We ended up mixing some of my favorites, peonies, ranunculus, and hydrangeas and added Ecuadorian roses, which my dad used to send my mom when they first started dating.

The cake design was so special, as we recreated the lace on my dress for the bottom tier. I think that was one of my favorite details– it was so personal and elegant. In the end, I wanted the day to feel like a reflection of us but without too many personal details. Each detail was meticulously thought-out and purposeful. I didn’t want anything to feel over- the- top, but effortless to protect that relaxed feeling.

A Magical Oceanside Wedding With A Jaw Dropping Floral Arbor and All of the Elegant Beach Vibes

We absolutely love pops of color here at SMP, especially when it comes to florals AND the rest of the wedding has a completely neutral color palette like today’s oceanside wedding! For these two, sharing one of their favorite destinations, Cabo, with their friends and family made for an easy choice when picking Chileno Bay Resort as their venue. With beautiful beachy backdrops (and a floral arbor that certainly doesn’t disappoint by Pina Cate,) Amy Abbott Events created the ultimate sophisticated beach party carrying over subtle pops of color from the florals and hand-blown glass heart place cards. Take a peek at Heather Nan’s gorgeous images and read about the bride’s favorite moments of the day!

A few questions with the bride about her wedding day:

Where do you live?
Newport Beach, CA

How did you meet, and how long did you date before getting engaged?

He says:  I was persuaded into meeting up with some buddies for happy hour at the Crow Bar in CdM as opposed to a more regular hangout, The Wild Goose.  It was a good thing I went along with their plan.  As the evening went on, a group of ladies was seated next to us at a communal table and we began chatting. About 30 minutes after, a beautiful young blond caught my eye at the front door and lo and behold, she was meeting the group of girls we were chatting with. As the only single guy in my group, I was not strategically seated at the end of the table. I managed to work my way over and asked my buddy, ‘so when are you going to let the single guy talk to the single girl?!?’  One thing led to another and the rest is as they say, ‘history!’  We dated for 3.5 years before getting engaged on the Amalfi Coast of Italy.

She says: I was meeting friends for dinner at the Crow Bar in Corona Del Mar and was the last to arrive. We were seated at the communal table and started chatting with our neighbors. I noticed Brad furthest from me and was happy to see he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. Once his friends gave him a turn we started talking he was extremely open and honest.  We continued on as a group down the street to the infamous Quiet Woman Restaurant & Bar. On our walk over Brad asked if I would be interested in going on a date with him soon, and the rest is history :) We dated for three and a half years before getting engaged.

Who proposed? When and how?

Brad proposed in Amalfi, Italy in May 2018. It was our last night there while enjoying gelato walking through the gardens of our cliffside hotel. Brad got on one knee next to a 200-year-old yucca tree in a rose garden surrounded by lemon trees. We were on our way to a wedding in Paris and we went to Italy a few days before. We decided to keep our engagement news only with immediate family and a few friends to not take away from the wedding weekend we were about to attend. It was a fun secret to have for a few days and we announced our news to our newlywed friends at their farewell brunch with a toast in front of the Eiffel Tower.

How did you choose your wedding venue?

We wanted to get married with the ocean as our backdrop and be outside as much as possible. From the minute we stepped on to the property at Chileno Bay Resort we loved the vibe. Elegant and upscale but at the same time welcoming and down to earth. Once we saw the property and the venue space we were sold. We didn’t need to add much to the venue to make it unique, it is special as is, all on its own.

Did your wedding have a theme? If so, how did you choose it?

No specific theme, we just wanted it to feel special and inviting. We wanted everyone to enjoy themselves throughout the wedding weekend and take the time to enjoy being on vacation in one of our favorite destinations. We love all that Cabo has to offer and it was so fun to share it with our closest friends and family.

Did you incorporate any religious and/or cultural traditions into your ceremony?

We kept our ceremony short and sweet. We are both Christian and we did include a reading from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Love is patient, love is kind….

How did you choose your table decor?

We wanted the decor to be refined and elegant while maintaining a relaxed vibe. Candlelight and stunning florals were absolute musts. Brad did an excellent job during our floral and table mock agreeing to everything and didn’t complain about all of the feminine and pink touches ;)

What color scheme did you choose and why?

The vision was to keep the bridesmaids and groomsmen neutral to compliment the colors naturally found in our oceanside setting. The bridesmaids wore beautiful champagne colored dresses which allowed for their bouquets to be a small pop of color, but the real focal point was the gorgeous floral arch with coral and blue blending standing out amongst the water, sky, and sand. The groomsmen wore lightweight navy suits and blue ties and looked excellent with the natural surroundings.

What did you use as your escort cards and/or place cards?

We tied the place cards to hand-blown glass hearts which were a party favor for all of our guests. We have a collection of glass hearts in all colors and sizes from our trips to Cabo. In our watercolor Save the Date we included glass hearts in the trees. All little details of things that are special to us and fun ways to share with our guests.

Please describe your favorite moments:

1. Jake’s speech (Groom’s 10 yr old son)

2. We practiced for our first dance before dinner. Even though we saved it for the last moment it was a fun way to practice twirling in my dress and we got some great photos out of it :) It was a great way to take a few moments for the two of us.

3. The kids requested that the DJ play some songs by Cardi B, and to everyone’s surprise, they did. At the excitement of the music selection, one of my bridesmaids (Ashley Cole) busted out on the dance floor breakdancing in 5 inch high heels. All of the kids (Jake and his friends) were mesmerized and got down on the dance floor to try to learn her moves. It was so sweet!

4.  As I was about to walk down the aisle I was tearing up and feeling the emotions coming on fast. I knew I only had a few moments to either pull it together or be ugly crying all the way to Brad. At the last minute, my Dad whispered to me “Check out Uncle Craig in his purple sunglasses” and we both started laughing. It was a great way to bring laughter and lightness to a serious but also a very special moment.

What was your biggest splurge of the day?

The florals were definitely the biggest splurge. I did not have a confirmed visual in my head of how they were going to turn out, but I couldn’t have been happier and wouldn’t change a thing. At the end of the night Lynette rounded up flowers from the tables and I went back to our Villa and made several arrangements. I was so happy to get a few extra days out of the flowers for the remainder of our stay.

What did you learn from the experience?

To not get caught in the details. To enjoy the outpour of love and having so many special people together in one place.

If you could sum up your wedding day in one sentence, how would you describe it?

Magical.

How to Get Creative with Your Escort Card Display

Nothing about a seating chart, or escort card display, sounds fun, but trust me when I say that you can make it so beautiful and unique, it’ll nearly blow up Pinterest. Hopefully you’re well versed in the logistics of making it guest-friendly, and now you’re ready to learn how to get creative with your escort card display design.

Have Your Escort Display Show Off Your Wedding Theme

My own wedding featured a smoothie theme that tied into the history of when my husband and I were first dating. We had Jamba Juice make smoothies for our guests and various fruits graced each table. For our escort card display, Amorology teamed up with Backup Backdrops to produce a gorgeous and totally unique design with calligraphy from Four Things Paper.

A recent wedding I photographed featured a tropical theme and the bride’s biggest request for Always Flawless Productions was for a tropical coconut cocktail escort card display. They incorporated palm leaves into the display, which were additionally found in the bouquets and also a neon sign, which guests would later see again in the form of neon table numbers. By playing up your wedding’s theme in your display, you not only make your overall design more cohesive but also more exciting and fun for the guests!

Style Your Escort Card Display with an Abundance of Flowers

I mean, what Style Me Pretty reader doesn’t love an abundance of flowers!? Often, escort card displays are so devoid of life and style and simply contain one flower arrangement and names on plain cards. While there’s nothing wrong with that and it’s certainly a cost-effective design, it’s way more exciting when guests have a beautiful array of flowers to look at while finding their cards. This display was painted and calligraphed by Four Things Paper and floralized by Studio Fleurish for an lush look.

If you prefer the idea of a table instead of a vertical backdrop, create varying heights and depths with your cards and add in many floral arrangements of different sizes for the most impact.

You can even take this one step further and have a hanging display set amongst your venue’s foliage or another beautiful backdrop. For this pampas grass wedding, Epoch Design created a hanging set of three name sheets and spray painted pampas grass that matched the tones of the sheets.

Make It Out of Miniatures

If you’re like me, you obsess and gush over anything miniature. They are tiny and cute and little versions of their larger size. Incorporating miniature takeaways/favors into your escort card display will make your guests ooh and awe over your design. Think of anything miniature that you love and snatch them up online in bulk or make it yourself/commission a production if you can’t find them online. Ideas range from mini cacti/succulents to mini jars of jam or honey to mini animals for pet lovers to mini iconic buildings and landmarks for couples who love to travel.

This couple paired the escort cards with miniature modern chairs for their Palm Springs wedding. To be honest, I would have made my rounds at the end of the night to scoop up any left behind chairs. They’re literally too cute and unique to leave behind!

What could be more perfect than a Russian nesting doll that is literally filled with miniature versions of itself? This insanely unique display by Amorology featured nesting dolls as escort cards painted in various wedding colors.

Make Your Escort Card Display Interactive

Whether your escort card display is as minimally interactive as opening up a little envelope that reveals their seat or as much as checking in with a flight attendant, they’ll love feeling more involved in the wedding. Have your guests crack a code to find their seat or embark on a mini scavenger hunt ending at their table, or interact with characters at a mini themed set for a truly creative experience.

I can’t mention that flight attendant idea without showing it! Gianna SanFilippo teamed up with Backup Backdrops to create this incredible concept of guests checking in to get boarding passes to their table.

Timeless, Airy + Floral Filled, This Wedding Is What SMP Dreams Are Made of

On a sun-soaked day in Southern California, Lauren and Dylan wed at one of our all-time favorites wedding venues – Ojai Valley Inn! She was a bride after our own heart, donning an off the shoulder gown holding a bouquet lush with all-white peonies from The Hidden Garden (seriously, we could start at it all day) Alexandra Kolendrianos brought the couple’s wedding dreams to life with every thoughtful detail. Lucky for us, Jana Williams Photography was there to capture it all – don’t miss the full gallery for all the heavenly moments!

From Jana Williams Photography… Lauren and Dylan’s wedding at the Ojai Valley Inn was a day full of unconditional love and support.

I’m still dreaming over their intimate ceremony and reception at The Farmhouse, and not only feeling, but capturing how much thought and care went into crafting every corner and moment of their special day.

Spending time with them, and capturing their wedding day was such a dream. The whole evening you were able to feel how much love there was for Lauren and Dylan.

Watching these two love birds walking back down the aisle officially as Mr. & Mrs. will be a moment I won’t ever forget.

These Happy Newlyweds Didn’t Let an Epic Storm Rain on Their Parade!

We don’t know if it’s the charming old manor home, the post-storm sun rays streaming through the tented reception or the way he looks at her – but something about this wedding is sure giving us all the feels. Scrolling through the full gallery captured by Will Reid Photography is like an instant mood booster!  Blush and Bloom decorated their day with the most beautiful flowers while Shealyn Angus had the festivities going off without a hitch (even after an unexpected, epic rainstorm!) Keep on reading to see it all unfold.

From Shealyn AngusBarbara and Justin’s wedding was a gorgeous al fresco dining experience at a manor estate in the heart of Toronto. The bride and groom spent their morning a part, Barb getting ready at the Four Seasons Toronto, and the groom, Justin, getting ready at the couple’s waterfront condo. They met down the aisle at the historic St. Michael’s Basillica in downtown Toronto. Following the ceremony the skies opened up and poured an epic rain storm to salute the happy newlyweds. But that didn’t stop their epic love celebration from pushing forward!

Up at Graydon Hall Manor in the north end of the city, our team brought to life an incredibly romantic al fresco dining experience on the terrace of the old manor home. With a clear tent and twinkling lights, the vibe was romantic, garden inspired, and down right gorgeous.

The tables were long whitewashed wooden tables with white crossback chairs to accent in the perfect “rustic but romantic” way. Long grey chiffon runners adored the tops, and vibrant copper charger plates made a huge impact statement at each place setting. The chargers were topped with mix matched lace scalloped edged plates and gorgeous platinum flatware. Match bread and butter plates were topped with little boxes of custom hand painted macarons by Nadia and Co. To top it all off, Blush & Bloom created outrageous gorgeous florals that adorned the centre of every table in an abundantly flowy manor.

The florals were hues of ivories, whites, peach, and soft pinks, complimented by sage greens and brushed metallics. The bride and groom’s sweet heart table was accented by two gorgeous en provence chairs with wreaths of florals adorned on the back.

Guests were treated to a five course dinner by renown caterer Couture Cuisine. Courses included hand made burrata, fresh crab cakes, a champagne palette cleanser, locally raised beef or east coast cod, and an immaculate creme brule for dessert. It was absolutely to die for! Guests danced the night away inside the beautiful Georgian style manor (built in 1939!) and snacked on late night sweets and champagne.

Not Just Dresses: Vera Wang’s Paper Line Proves That Wedding Invitations Can Be Stunning Too

In addition to her iconic bridal styles, designer, Vera Wang, has a lesser-known — but equally as elegant — line of invitations. If you thought you loved Ms. Wang’s soft lace displays and sheer layering in her gowns, just *wait* until to see her suite of carefully crafted papers. Inspired by many of the dresses themselves, these rehearsals dinner and wedding invitations are classic, romantic, and unforgettable at the same time. Scroll on to preview the stunning selection, then head online to pick up your own set of Vera Wang Papers for your Big Day.

The Chantilly Lace Sleeve Suite

Your heart will flutter once you see this set, styled using inspo from Vera’s very own 2018 Bridal Collection. Included in your bundle is a sophisticated laser-cut lace sleeve and coordinating envelope + optional lining, making it the perfect RSVP for a memorable evening.

The Castillon Suite

The Castillon suite draws from the designer’s refined tableware series and Ready to Wear collection, so you better believe it’s on-trend, to say the least!

The Sheer Elegance Suite

This set plays to the sheer detailing seen in many of Vera’s gowns with the transparent, vellum packing. The design also includes a painted border (by color preference), sophisticated script, and engraved details to hit the trifecta when it comes to a sleek and chic option.

Gold Bordered Wedding Suite

Go for the gold with this invitation finished with an eye-catching gilded border and striking bold type. It’s sure to guarantee no detail of your special day goes unnoticed! Pair the paper with matching save the date or rehearsal dinner invite — complete with the same striking metallic script— for an extra special addition to your wedding day stationery.

Bordeaux Blanc Wedding Suite

This suite is inspired by trending 2019 colors (think moody hues) and Ms. Wang’s Spring 2019 Bridal palette. The contrast of the wine coloring against the luxurious white cotton paper is striking – especially when tied together with a silk bow finish. Better yet, add the Save the Date and Rehearsal Dinner Card to really bring the theme home.

Chateau Wedding Suite

Let us introduce you to one of the bridal designer’s best-selling options — The Chateau Wedding Invitation. The gold border, signature typography, and customizable crest make this a suite to impress. Even better, if you’re not sold on the color, there’s an option to switch up the hue to something that feels more *you*. We’re all for it!

A Fairy Tale Chateau Wedding Complete with a Horse-Drawn Carriage and Enchanted Gardens – You Must See It All.

‘Once upon a time…’ We can’t help but introduce today’s wedding with those time-honored words; it is, after all, so exquisite, that it seems more like a beautifully illustrated fairy tale than a real wedding. Karen & Sam’s nuptials included all of the iconic storybook elements: a storied Château, an enchanted English Garden, flowers by Floraison Paris that were pure poetry, and three couture bridal gowns. The bride arrived in—what else?—a carriage drawn by winter white horses to arrive at the pinnacle moment: a walk down L’Île D’Amour, the Island of Love. (It’s only fitting that, in centuries past, the Princes of Condé held dazzling garden parties at this very site!). Scarlet Events oversaw a global team to create an event that was a masterpiece full of poetry, history, and romance. Be sure to capture every sparkling moment in the gallery by Jada Poon Photography, which is certainly one of the most beautiful of all time.

From the wedding planner, Scarlet Events: Karen & Sam’s Wedding at Chateau de Chantilly, France – April 2019. The hottest wedding celebration of the year was the French Fairytale wedding of Hong Kong royalty – Karen Li and Sam Lau, at Le Domaine de Chantilly (which hosts only 2-3 weddings per year). Château de Chantilly is an exclusive and magnificent historic Château and the perfect setting for Karen and Sam to make their vows in front of 120 guests.

The entire wedding was completely custom designed from conception to completion by globally renowned planners Scarlet Events. Scarlet led a team of over 100 highly esteemed event staff, all of whom worked together over the course of six days, including vendors from the UK, France, Belgium, Italy and Hong Kong to create an event that was truly timeless. The welcome dinner for the wedding was an intimate affair, with a stylish ‘All-White’ dress code that took place at the 17th-Century Maison de Sylvie, also known as Sylvie’s House. Nestled away in the forest of Chantilly, Sylvie’s House boasts spectacular crystal chandeliers and 18th century paintings. The flowers were a loose, natural style including traditional British white and cream blooms with greens, complemented by luxury blue baroque linens in the blue room and white baroque linens in the white room.

Scarlet organised luxury shuttles to escort guests from the hotel to the venue in comfort and style. Upon arrival, Champagne and apéritifs were served in the French Garden with the glistening early evening sun providing the perfect backdrop for the cocktail reception. Guests then made their way inside where they were treated to a five-course menu, prepared by the team at La Capitainerie restaurant, under the care of Michelin starred chef Julien Lucas. The culinary creations included Quail Filet, Pan-Seared Foie Gras, and a platter of fine French Cheese.

The ceremony itself was truly the main event and took place outside on the impressive 96m long Île d’Amour (Island of Love). Where else for a bride to make her grand entrance than an enchanting island, each and every bit as romantic as the name suggests. The gazebo at the end of the aisle was the perfect place for the couple to take their vows and was adorned with natural style arches of foliage and stems of delicate flowers. Each element was carefully designed to enhance the beauty of the natural setting, without being too elaborate. A statue of Eros, the Greek God of Love already in place inside the gazebo overlooked the wedding aisle, adding an extra touch of romance.

Scarlet recommended the use of transparent ghost chairs, to seamlessly blend into the setting, leaving the focus entirely on the flowers. Deconstructed pastel floral arrangements were added to the fountain edges while loose blooms and ivy cascaded from the stone urns, creating a magical walkway for the beautiful bride.

Of course, a bridal entrance would not be complete without a bespoke Cinderella horse-drawn carriage. Karen’s arrival was in true fairy tale fashion, her bespoke Elie Saab bridal gown was adorned with intricate lace detailing and embellishment, her veil featuring delicate floral appliqués fanned out behind her. A statement bouquet filled with an abundance of roses, sweet pea and blown peonies tied with a blush pink ribbon finished off her elegant bridal look. Karen’s father greeted her at the entrance of the Island of Love, and together they walked down the impressive aisle. The sun beamed down on father and daughter, creating a memorable moment that is captured very rarely at this magnificent and exclusive venue.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way back over the bridge towards the
Jardin Anglais (English Garden) for photos overlooking a full panoramic view of the remarkable Château in the background.

The wedding reception took place on the spectacular terrace of the Château inside a bespoke glass conservatory that Scarlet had purpose built for the wedding, adding great style and character without the bulky look of a standard white marquee. The conservatory was perfectly placed overlooking the grand Château, as well as the spectacular Parterre Nord (North Gardens) with its geometric lawns, impressive fountains, and numerous statues. The Château and the grounds are so beautiful that Scarlet wanted the wedding to fit seamlessly within the breathtaking surroundings. The perfect location for this enchanting and decadent affair, guests were driven up to the terrace for an early evening reception, where they enjoyed a welcome reception outside on the grand staircase. After indulging on Foie Gras, Truffles, and Champagne, guests headed inside the glass conservatory, here they were welcomed by a series of elegant tablescapes and beautiful flowers.

Bespoke beige linens made- to- order for each table set the tone; gold candelabras and dreamy, expressive florals set within opulent gold vessels swept down the centre of the banquet tables – blush garden roses, cream peonies, and peach blooms made up the beautiful arrangements. Gold- rimmed glassware, decadent gold cutlery and menus delicately finished with gold leaf, added the luxurious finishing touches to the place settings. The newlyweds were introduced by their close friends and made their entrance to Etta James’s classic ‘At Last’ – the romantic moment being met with loud cheers from the guests. The bride wore the same stunning Elie Saab piece for the cutting of the cake.

The five-tiered masterpiece was created by renowned Parisian pastry chef Bastien Blanc-Tailleur, formerly sous pastry chef of Four Seasons George V. The cake featured ruffle detailing with gold leaf edging, and exquisite sugar embroidery that matched the lace on Karen’s gown.

A bespoke cream and gold stage that Scarlet had designed provided the setting for the live music by a hand-selected prestigious six-piece soul band, creating an uplifting and energetic ambience. A matching custom dance floor inlaid with the couple’s monogram was another one of the many bespoke production elements for this wedding.

Fine wine was enjoyed, paired carefully to compliment the Parisian inspired cuisine. Scarlet knew the food was of great importance to the couple, so they wanted to bring in renowned Parisian caterers Potel et Chabot – who have cooked for the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and for Kim Kardashian’s Parisian wedding party. Guests feasted on Truffled Eggs followed by Spring Lobster Salad. The main course – Filet of Beef, was served in style – hand carved by a chef at each table and after dinner, smoked coconut ice-cream was served in glass cloches. Plenty of theatre and entertainment was on offer throughout the evening, guests were then treated to a grandiose fireworks display, one of the highlights of the weekend’s celebrations, lighting up the night sky overlooking the Parterre Nord gardens.

Scarlet built a bespoke terrace along the edge of the glass conservatory and the couple kicked off their firework display by pressing the trigger themselves as a lovely surprise. Guest’s enjoyed the extravagant show, themed to the bride’s favourite Disney music and for this special occasion Karen had changed into a stunning Vivian Luk ‘Unicorn’ inspired gown with each delicate layer of tulle featuring a beautiful pastel shade of pink, purple, yellow and blue, with crystal embellishments on the edge of each layer.

Shortly after the spectacular fireworks, the bride changed again, this time into a gorgeous 1920’s gold Marchesa dress with fringe. In a change of ‘Bride and Groom’ first dance tradition, Karen and her father shared a special moment on the dance floor. Followed by a dazzling dance performance by the newlyweds, a routine that was captivating, lively, and magical, the perfect way to get the party started! High powered vocal performances from the live band brought the house down and guests danced the night away under the Chantilly stars.

Here’s Your Perfect Blueprint for a Whimsical French-Inspired Wedding

Think you can’t replicate the romance of France in the States for your wedding? Think again. The talented team at Keestone Events is here to prove you oh-so wrong with this whimsical french-inspired wedding inspiration that will make you say “oui, oui!” First things first, find yourself a venue fit for a European affair like The Olana in Hickory Creek, TX. Second, hire an amazing team of vendors who will make your vision come to life. Before you get started, head on over to the full gallery captured by Allen Tsai Photography to get inspired!

From Keestone Events“Are we in Paris?” That was the first line that came to mind upon discovering that The Olana, a French-inspired estate, existed. It’s one of the quickest concepts for any styled shoot that has come to fruition on my end, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the end result with you. This baroque estate sits on forty acres and was built as an homage to the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte in Paris.

With its marble floors, hand-carved detailing and rich wallpaper tapestries, we wanted to do a full shoot that would try and do the space justice. First, we started with a boudoir shoot of the bride, that had free-flowing greenery climbing up the walls of one of the suites. In this room, there is a variety of hand-carved wall trims, framing gold-flecked, damask wallpaper. This greenery was then repeated in the lap pool area of the estate. Having both these areas highlighted with lush greenery and blooms brought about a sense of movement and fragility to the spaces that helped accentuate the femininity and elegance of the bride.

The grandeur of the estate needed an elegant and regal figure to represent the couple that was envisioned. To present this image, the styling was paramount and we had two different hair and makeup looks, along with outfit changes for the couple to depict that. The first at the ceremony was a demure portrayal, with the bride’s hair in loose waves and subtle, more natural makeup. Here, the bride wore a delicate, flowing gown with intricate floral detailing on its sheer long sleeves. That pattern is repeated throughout the dress, that complemented her bouquet and organic arch perfectly! The groom wore a three-piece suit with a gray pattern.

At the reception, we kicked things up a notch and wanted to bring outfits that you don’t typically see often at a reception, but one that we think really showcases the personalities of the couple! While the groom looked dapper in a salmon suit, the bride wore a jumpsuit (all the better to move in) that we paired with a flowy, sheer coat. We wanted the tablescape to be a good contrast against the estate and had a whimsical take on it, with a velvet pink table linen, paired with lush centerpieces and a variety of dessert. To tie the elegance of the location to the setting however, we used minimal plateware and stationery, that balanced well with the stone slabs of the estate.

Nothing Says Greek Wedding More, Then A Donkey Escorting The Bride to The Ceremony!

It is rare that we see a no-frills wedding. It is even rarer that we see a wedding with no reception, no wedding party, and no cake! Today’s wedding was simply an exchange of vows followed by a sit-down dinner with the couples closest friends and family. When Les Anagnou Photography was contacted by the couple, they were ecstatic to capture this intimate celebration at the end of their very busy wedding season. The bride was escorted to the ceremony by donkey led by her groom, which fit the Greek vibe completely. After ‘I Do’s,’ the celebration continued at Omilos where an all-white decorated dinner awaited, planned by White Events Wedding. Take a look below and see why sometimes, simple and understated can be absolutely breathtaking.

From the Bride…The wedding was very simple. No first look, no wedding party, no reception, no cake, I didn’t even have chairs or music for the ceremony. It was just vows at a villa followed by a sit-down dinner. Then we went to a local bar to celebrate. I am overwhelmed by a lot of fuss. I like simple intimate things. I think people will be surprised with how little actually went into this, but I think everyone will enjoy. It was more about a trip with friends than a party for us.

From Les Anagnou PhotographyWhen we first read Laila and Jack’s inquiry in our inbox we were pleasantly surprised and a little intrigued to meet them and work on their wedding. Their request was as simple and as refined as their wedding celebrations.

They wanted their day to be more of a trip with their closest friends and family and less of a big party. Yet, somehow, the love they put into the details was everything. The donkey that Jack led Laila to the ceremony site, the dinner by the water all made such a huge difference for their guests. Laila was glowing in her ultra-chic white gown while her heartfelt smile finished off her look very effortlessly. Most of the couples immediate family and close friends took part in the wedding ceremony each reading a different passage or blessing that brought everyone to tears.

Minutes after becoming Mr, and Mrs, Jack and Laila headed off with lots of cheer and confetti to their wedding dinner. A restaurant by the sea where all that you could hear where the waves crashing on the shore and the vivid laughter among the guests. Documenting their love and being part of such laid back and warm ambiance was the highlight of our wedding packed summer.

You’re Going to Want to Steal This Touching and Adorable Escort Card Idea!

Take one look at the towering trees, green grass and lush gardens surrounding this gorgeous venue and you’d never guess it’s located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. The bride’s regal cape, their creative lantern escort cards and the jaw-droppingly beautiful reception are just a few of our favorite things about this wedding day planned to perfection by Details by Gina. Get your pinning fingers ready and head to the full gallery captured by Merari Teruel Photography for s major dose of inspo.

From Merari Teruel PhotographyLindsay and Jay had a very specific vision for their wedding day: beautiful, classic and natural. They chose to host their big day at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and opted for a fresh, greenery-filled vibe to compliment the venue.

Despite having an outdoor garden wedding, Lindsay and Jay still wanted to keep the event sophisticated. Lindsay’s gorgeous Pronovias gown and cape helped them do just that! They also brought in a swing band that played classic crooner and swing music throughout cocktail hour and the reception.

Designs by Ahn helped them keep the event fresh and elegant into the reception at the Palm House by infusing clean and crisp white linens and chairs with complimentary white, ivory and green centerpieces of varying heights and shapes.

Their escort card was placed in the middle of the dance floor and each guest had a designated lantern that guided them into their table, named after a particular city that was close to Jay and Lindsay’s hearts.

With just their siblings as their wedding party, they exchanged vows in front of a gorgeous tree and then spent the night dancing the night away with their loved ones. Exactly what they had wanted all along!

Re-Read This Bride’s Wedding Advice Over and Over Again Whenever You’re Feeling Stressed

Ethereal, /əˈTHirēəl/ – “extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.” In other words, this wedding. Prepare to fall in love with this ethereal affair at Meadowood Napa Valley dripping in classic green and white blooms from Revel Floral, with planning by LVL Weddings and Events. The love between this adorable bride and groom is jumping out of every photo captured by The Edges Wedding Photography – the only thing cuter is their “how they met” story (it’s a total must read). See all the pretty at the full gallery!

From the Bride… Alex and I met many moons ago back when we were in college, which feels like a lifetime ago. As fate would have it, I was late for class as usual, and the only seat available was next to him. While passing papers along, he managed to strike up a conversation with me. We talked throughout the whole class. Needless to say, we didn’t learn much that day.

He told me to put my number in his phone and I was happy to oblige. I remember thinking to myself on the way home while gripping the handle in a crowded train car, “I met someone today.” It felt like a moment out of a movie. My advice to other couples, enjoy the process! It’s such a great opportunity to collaborate with your family, future in-laws, and friends on an event that will be so meaningful in your life. My family was happy to participate in whatever way they could, large or small, and they were happy to see their contributions incorporated into our big day. Most of our friends were married already so they gladly offered up their advice. I like to think I benefitted from all of their experiences.

Ultimately, your wedding day is about you and your future spouse so stay true to what’s important to the both of you. Another piece of advice that gave me comfort was knowing that most weddings don’t usually go according to plan but your guests will never know the difference so not to stress too much about it.

From Courtney of LVL Weddings and Events… Hong had a clear vision of what she wanted her wedding to look and feel like from the beginning. It was just a matter of finding the best vendors to execute her vision! After securing The Edges Wed and LoveSpun to capture the day, it wasn’t hard to make her ethereal wedding dreams come true. With Meadowood as the backdrop, Revel Floral created a magical ceremony space which continued into dinner. And with amazing food and wine the guests toasted and danced into the night.

Oh-So-Ojai! This Wedding Gets Organic So Right, With A White Tent, Woven Lanterns, and a Wishing Tree.

Ojai—with its bohemian spirit and otherworldly beauty—has a magic all its own. And today’s wedding, set at Ojai Valley Inn and masterfully planned by Alexandra Kolendrianos, fully captures the essence of Ojai. The flowers by Mindy Rice looked so natural, they could have been foraged on the oak- and-olive filled property, and the palette perfectly captures the Spanish Revival architecture—white, green, and just a tinge of terracotta. Add a ceremony under the ancient Wishing Tree, a tented reception, and an unbelievable canopy of woven lanterns, and you have a wedding that feels earthy, organic, and oh-so-Ojai. Be sure to take in all the dreamy photos by Lacie Hansen for that extra dose of Ojai inspo!

From the photographer, Lacie Hansen Classic white florals and soft green foliage provided the main colors for the event. Everything felt crisp and clean. Along with these sophisticated neutrals, touches of coral and terracotta were introduced later in the reception elements, giving the palette a subtle Mediterranean feeling.

Nature-driven florals by Mindy Rice captured the beauty of Ojai. With its fragrant assortment of herbs– mint, oregano, thyme, and olive– the bridal bouquet felt like it belonged in this setting, which is rich in olive trees and culinary gardens.

The ceremony took place under an ancient oak tree– lovingly called The Wishing Tree– at Ojai Valley Inn. This beautiful oak truly anchored the ceremony design, and every detail gestured to it. Guest seating wrapped around to embrace the tree, creating a feeling of intimacy and connection. The aisle was transformed into a rambling, meadow-like pathway of white flora and foliage, so natural it looks like the flowers could have grown there.

The reception took place under a beautifully constructed Zephyr Tent. A wood plank floor was brought in which elevated the guests and looked striking against the green grass. The tent was transformed into an Ojai masterpiece, with natural fibers, an assortment of candles, and beautifully undone flora.

The perimeter of the tent was draped in gently gathered fabric, which softened the space. We worked with a mixture of raw wood tables and round tables draped with linens from La Tavola, and made sure to keep each table and detail feeling ultra-organic.

Terracotta ranunculus, which ran freely through the white and green centerpieces, added the perfect touch of color. Found Rentals elevated the entire space with their curated white vintage lounge vignettes, and a white semigloss dance floor beckoned to guests all night long. Meanwhile, gold-rimmed charger plates and brushed flatware by Casa de Perrin added an elegant complement. But the ‘moment’ of the reception had to be the canopy of woven lanterns. The lantern canopy provided such ‘wow factor’ and felt classically Ojai.

A Perfectly Crafted Office + Playroom Combo

Not many people have space for both a dedicated office and a dedicated playroom and yet achieving the perfect balance of two difference needs can be so hard! Right!? Because how do you achieve #girlboss status when there are toys all over the place!? Well, lucky for us, the fabulous Beth Aschenbach, co-founder of Palm Beach Lately, has it down to a science and has successfully designed one of the chicest, most well organized, entirely beautiful office playroom combos we have ever seen. We dare you not to fall in love with all of the perfect details!

From Lifestyle Blogger, Beth, at Palm Beach Lately... With the baby coming soon, my husband and I decided to switch a few rooms around to best accommodate our growing family. We decided to turn the office into a playroom/office.

Our original design was for his office needs, so I enlisted the help of Korinne from Urban Simplicity to help me best utilize the cabinet space to organize the toys, books, games, etc. The original office had grey shelving and cabinets, so I first had it painted all white and switched the silver to brass hardware.

Korinne started Urban Simplicity in 2010 after working for a decade in politics and splits her time between Palm Beach and New York. She combines a passion for problem solving with a sense of humor, cheerful nature and Southern charm. She organized what was in the old playroom and helped me pare down to only what we wanted to keep. We simplified it to keep what Grace currently plays with and saved some toys for the baby and donated the rest of the old toys and stuffed animals to charity.

I had a lot of keepsakes that I wanted to organize from baby shower and baptism to school and cards we keep. She selected some adorable blush boxes in different sizes to accommodate what we planned to store. I also enlisted the help of my friends from Luxe Report Designs to style the shelves with a mix of blush pink ginger jars, shells and rattan accessories.

My desk is my new favorite place in the house! I love how Luxe Report Designs incorporated the rattan desk accessories and chair from HIVE. They used the new beehive lanterns Lindroth Design as well as our favorite rattan hurricane vases and raffia baskets with shells mixed in blush pink file folders, stationery and more. I have wanted this lamp by Celerie Kemble / Kemble Interiors at The Kemble Shop for a while and this was the perfect spot to put it!

I came across 527 Photo on Etsy and she has so many beautiful tropical prints from Miami, Hawaii and other destinations. This one jumped out at me and I knew I had to include this relaxing palm and umbrella print it in this room. Framebridge did a beautiful job framing the art and the quality and turnaround time was excellent. The girls flanked the art with assorted blush pink ginger jars from Lauren Haskell Designs and white canvas palms from Matilda’s.

The Container Store recently introduced a wide variety of kids’ storage for playrooms, closets and everything in between. Here is a list of the products we used from The Container Store:

Assorted sizes of the Linus clear drawer organizers
Multi-purpose transparent bins
Blush Pink Bigso Stockholm Letter Boxes
Blush Pink Bigso Stockholm Paper Drawers
Blush Pink Bigso Stockholm Photo Storage Box
Natural Seagrass Belly Baskets
Pink Cotton Rope Laundry Hamper
Blush & Ivory Rugby Stripe Storage Cubes
Linus Deep Drawer Bins in Clear
Gold Bin Clip Label Holders

Combining pinks, lilacs, and emerald greens, this inspirational shoot was set against the newly renovated boutique Sands Hotel and Spa. So Happi Together brought many intricate details to create this full luxe story – a Cult Gaia welcome bag with refreshments and tropical goodies for guests to enjoy, lime and peach mojito welcome drinks, embellished and embossed luxe cookie treats just to name a few.

Southern Charm Meets Romantic Glam with This Unforgettable Fête

A little Southern charm mixed with a little romantic glam makes for a drop-dead gorgeous wedding day! We’re talking about the most stunning draping by The Social Spool and endless delightful details from elegant cocktail hour furniture to beautiful blooms by Stephanie Gibbs Events. Not a detail was left undone of this Lowndes Grove Plantation soiree and it was perfectly planned by A Charleston Bride, who brought the brides neutral color palette to life with just the right touches of mauve and gold! Take a look below and see the work of Aaron and Jillian Photography and how they captured these moments to last for a lifetime!

From A Charleston BrideAlle and Bobby tied the knot among friends and family at the beautiful Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina, which is covered in giant oak trees and Southern charm.

Their reception was glamour meets romantic, southern sophistication. During the design process, Alle wanted to focus on a neutral palette of champagne and gold with pops of mauve. We brought in the subtle color pop in BBJ patterned linens and stunning florals adorning each dining table.

The ladies behind Social Spool, who specialize in event draping and installation, elegantly draped the tent in mink fabric to soften the look of the reception space, which was absolutely stunning and completely transformed the space.

One of our favorite moments of the day was Alle’s first look with her dad, there was not a dry eye in the house! It was so special and such a heartfelt moment to witness on such a memorable day for all.

The Most Popular Honeymoon Destinations of 2019

Hopefully you’re planning ahead for your honeymoon and scoping out potential options long before your actual departure date. If you’re like me, you’ll spend hours looking at travel sites just wondering which location would make for your own perfect honeymoon. To get you inspired, here are the most popular honeymoon destinations of 2019.

Bora Bora

I might be biased because it’s where I honeymooned this year, though Bora Bora consistently tops the charts of the most popular honeymoon spots. Couples love the privacy and allure of the overwater bungalows as well as the insanely blue waters. Although it’s not a location for couples that want tons and tons of activities to do, it’s perfect for couples that want to relax on the beach and do a couple of the few water or hiking-based activities offered in the area.

New Zealand

Whether couples go for the Hobbit set, hiking through beautiful mountains, or thrill seeking adventures, they’re flocking to New Zealand. It has become quite the popular honeymoon destination, especially among adventurous and outdoorsy couples. Choose whether you want to visit the North Island or the South Island unless you’ve got a few weeks to tour both.

St. Lucia

For couples that are drawn to the Caribbean, St. Lucia has been an incredibly popular honeymoon location for as long as I can remember. I swear that every wedding where I was a flower girl in my youth was for a couple honeymooning in St. Lucia. Expect to find pristine beaches and lush mountains in this tropical paradise.

Grecian Islands

Santorini is probably the first island that comes to mind when you think of Greece. It’s white and blue architecture draw tons of tourists to the island – so much so that it might actually be too crowded to enjoy your honeymoon. Instead, I recommend staying on another island, such as Corfu, and perhaps taking a day trip to Santorini so you don’t feel like you missed out.

Iceland

Not all honeymooners are seeking a tropical experience for their post-wedding vacay. Iceland inarguably has become more and more popular over the years and honeymooners are taking note. If the sound of skiing, dipping in hot springs, and seeing the Northern Lights all in one trip appeals to you, Iceland is your go-to honeymoon spot.

Thailand

Beaches and jungles are just two of the gorgeous finds in Thailand, although the urban Bangkok happens to be one of the world’s top vacation destinations. Whether you want a peaceful honeymoon surrounded by nature or a bustling one in any of Thailand’s largest cities, there’s plenty to choose from here.

Amalfi Coast

For honeymooners who love Italian culture and also the allure of sporting a bikini on their trip, the Amalfi Coast is perfect. One of the reasons this Italian paradise is such a popular honeymoon destination are the colorful villages found on the area’s steep cliffs. With picturesque backdrops like that, it’s easy to see why the Amalfi Coast has become a hit with newlyweds.

Hawaii

A classic vacation destination, Hawaii boasts insanely gorgeous beaches, lush mountain hikes, beautiful plant life, and some of the best surfing opportunities in the world. Because it offers so many activities and attractions, couples with all kinds of preferences and interests flock to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Maui and Kauai are especially popular newlywed locales, so be sure to check those out if Hawaii sounds dreamy to you.

These Gowns Will Make Puff Sleeves Your Latest Obsession – the Bigger, the Better!

The team at WOW Wedding along with beautiful captures by Anya Kernes Photography have taken us to a world of color, Italian romance and the most amazing, statement-making puff sleeves we’ve ever seen. Grab your passport and transport yourself to destination wedding heaven in Lake Como right here at the full gallery!

From Anya Kernes PhotographyOur vision was to create something deliciously colorful while keeping a minimal decor aesthetic. We wanted to take the most out of the color of the year, coral, and play with fun little pops of blue to mirror the colors of Lake Como and the beautiful venue, Villa Cipressi.

Villa Cipressi, a gorgeous historical residence, is located on the east side of the lake and is a mix of contemporary architecture and ancient gardens. Even if you are not staying here, a visit to enjoy the botanical gardens and have a drink on the terrace with an incredible view is an absolute must when visiting Lake Como. With so much history, we drew inspiration from the colors around it but kept the design modern and fresh.

We loved showcasing two gowns from Rara Avis Group that are very different stylistically, but both fit like a glove for a classic and elegant celebration. Beauty by Korn created a stunning bridal look to go along with the dresses which was a mix of old world and modern romantic.

Biba Merlo Calligraphy wowed us with the incredibly gorgeous paper goods that transformed you into another time in space, while SOli  created a one of a kind velvet ring box. WOW Wedding put everything together flawlessly to make this beautiful vision come to life.
