Set against the European-inspired architecture of The Bradford, every detail was thoughtfully curated to feel elevated yet approachable. In a bold and stylish move, Grace asked all of her guests to wear black, which she lovingly referred to as “a funeral to her last name.” Guests delivered, arriving in sleek, all-black attire that added an air of sophistication and created the most stunningly cohesive gallery. The overall look set the tone for an effortlessly chic celebration. From the very beginning, we prioritized guest experience and high-touch details that added texture and sophistication to the design. Beautiful glassware, luxe linens, layered place settings, and a variety of intentional lounge seating created a welcoming and stylish atmosphere throughout the cocktail hour and reception. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a welcome table offering champagne and non-alcoholic beverages, setting the tone for a celebration centered around hospitality and joy. Wedding newspapers offered a playful and personal touch during cocktail hour, while a customized photo booth and elegant plated dinner rounded out the immersive experience. At the heart of the reception space, a bold black and white checkered dance floor—our favorite last-minute splurge—served as the visual centerpiece and tied the entire aesthetic together. The most meaningful and dramatic moment of the day was the ceremony design. Grace was drawn to the stately charm of the front drive, with its centered fountain and the venue’s architecture as a clean, romantic backdrop. Together, we crafted a unique ceremony layout that hadn’t been done at The Bradford before: guests were seated along the circle drive, and the bridal party entered from the side. In a striking twist, Grace and her father made a surprise entrance from behind the altar through the grand double doors. It was a theatrical and emotional moment that left a lasting impression—exactly the kind of magic we hoped to create.

So while on a family trip in Mallorca, Jace saw the perfect opportunity to create a moment that honored both dreams. With every detail thoughtfully planned, he proposed in the most picturesque setting—and completely surprised Grace in the process. Though they ultimately chose to host their wedding in North Carolina, Grace still got her European-inspired day. The Bradford, with its elegant architecture and romantic, lush greenery, felt like a hidden European chateau tucked just outside of Raleigh, bringing their love story full circle.

For the ceremony, she wore a romantic gown by Alena Leena Bridal, purchased from Beloved Bridal. With its structured bodice, soft off-the-shoulder sleeves, and flowing layers of airy tulle, the dress moved like a dream and brought a sense of softness and grace to the day. It struck that rare balance—ethereal yet sculptural, refined yet relaxed—and suited her beautifully. Later in the evening, just before their formal reception entrance, Grace changed into the Margaux gown by House of CB. Sleek and minimalist with a draped neckline and curve-skimming silhouette, the second look felt like a natural extension of the chic, modern energy of the reception. It was a striking contrast to her ceremony gown—clean, confident, and perfectly suited for dancing the night away. The transition between the two styles beautifully mirrored the flow of the day, from romantic, light, and airy to something more sleek, dramatic, and effortlessly elegant.

With many guests traveling from out of town, they wanted to create an elevated, memorable meal that felt both festive and satisfying. An open bar kept spirits high, and in true summer fashion, spritzes were in hand all evening, while the bride enjoyed her signature drink, a strawberry margarita. During cocktail hour, guests were treated to an array of passed hors d’oeuvres: seared crab cakes, pork belly tostadas, chicken and waffles bites, and sweet corn risotto cakes. For dinner, the first course was a vibrant seasonal berry salad with fresh greens, mandarin oranges, strawberries, blueberries, pistachios, and goat cheese, all topped with a refreshing orange poppyseed vinaigrette. Guests then selected from three decadent entrées, with the slow-braised beef short rib emerging as a clear favorite—a standout dish and truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a wedding. One of the most beloved details? During the tasting, Jace fell head over heels for Rocky Top’s famous Tia Maria Cookie Stacks. He loved them so much that he requested a private box for himself and his groomsmen to enjoy while getting ready the morning of the wedding. These indulgent treats—coffee liqueur-brushed chocolate chip cookies layered with whipped cream, mocha buttercream, and topped with chocolate-covered espresso beans—were passed late-night on the dance floor, giving guests a sweet (and caffeinated) second wind to keep the celebration going strong.

With a design rooted in simplicity and sophistication, we focused on a classic palette of white and green florals, letting texture and form take center stage. Grace’s bridal bouquet was a standout: an airy, organic mix of hydrangeas and viburnum that felt timeless yet modern, perfectly complementing her frame and gown. The bridesmaids and mothers each carried a single long-stem calla lily tied with a sleek black ribbon—an effortlessly chic detail that felt both minimal and impactful. The men wore matching mini calla lily boutonnieres for a cohesive and refined look. For the ceremony, we created a deconstructed baby’s breath arch at the front entrance of The Bradford, framing Grace’s dramatic and unforgettable walk through the venue’s grand double doors. The arch was later repurposed behind the head table, adding dimension and softness to the reception space. And the floral moment everyone’s still talking about? A show-stopping installation above the dance floor featuring clouds of baby’s breath and mirrored disco balls. Paired with the black and white checkered floor, the reflections and movement created pure magic—it was the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable celebration.

When designing the timeline, Grace knew she wanted to include two fun, memorable moments: a champagne tower and a cake cutting. Rather than spotlighting them with formal announcements, she envisioned these moments as more intimate and organic—little surprises woven into the evening. We combined the two into one effortlessly chic vignette that became one of Grace and Jace’s favorite memories from the day. The cake was a petite couple’s cutting cake; strawberry shortcake—Grace’s favorite and the only kind she truly loves—decorated with delicate piped edges and topped with a custom “just married” script. But when the wrong cake was delivered on the wedding day, Rocky Top pulled off what can only be described as a wedding-day miracle. Within an hour of the scheduled cake cutting, their team styled and delivered a brand new cake that matched Grace’s original vision perfectly. It was a true testament to the power of a rockstar vendor team and one of those behind-the-scenes saves that made the night feel all the more magical. Set beside the champagne tower, the cake sat atop a soft, draped pedestal surrounded by tulle, fresh florals, and a few playful disco balls that tied into the dance floor design. Guests mingled nearby as Grace and Jace shared the moment—no spotlight, no announcement—just a quietly joyful pause in the evening that felt perfectly true to them.

The service included live worship, communion, and a family prayer, and was made even more personal by having Grace’s older brother officiate. He perfectly toed the line between heartfelt and humorous, bringing guests to tears with his touching words before delivering a perfectly timed joke that had everyone laughing through their tears. The sibling banter added such a personal, memorable touch to an already emotional moment. As The Blessing by Kari Jobe played, their families gathered around them in prayer, blessing their marriage and the future ahead. Communion followed, led by Grace’s family pastor. The couple stepped quietly to the side and shared their first communion as husband and wife while New Wine by Hillsong Worship was sung—a reverent, private moment amid the celebration. To close out the ceremony, Grace and Jace were pronounced husband and wife and recessed down the aisle to This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole—a joyful, upbeat anthem that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.

It’s impossible to talk about Grace and Jace’s wedding day without talking about the weather, because, in many ways, it shaped the heart of their celebration. From the start, Grace had one non-negotiable: an outdoor ceremony. It was central to her vision. While we had a rain plan in place (as all planners must), it was always Plan B. So when the forecast showed nonstop rain for their entire wedding weekend—and reality confirmed it with a drenched, windswept rehearsal dinner—it felt like the one thing Grace had hoped for might be slipping away. The morning of the wedding was worse than expected. Grey skies, heavy rain, and no signs of clearing. We moved forward with the backup plan, transforming the ballroom into a ceremony space. The florals were installed, sound was wired, rentals were in place, the reception flip team was scheduled and onsite. Everything was ready indoors. And then, at 4:30 p.m.—less than an hour before guests were set to arrive—the light changed. The clouds lifted, and sunlight started pouring through the trees. The radar still showed storms across the region, but there was an actual, visible break right over the venue. It was surreal. That’s when Jace came to me and asked: “Can we try?” He was ready to do whatever it took—change clothes, move chairs himself, rally the groomsmen. As a wedding planner and a certified hopeless romantic, how could I say no to that? He was willing to do whatever it took to make his bride’s dream come true. And with the help of the incredible teams from The Bradford, Rocky Top Catering, Eden Rose Florals, our DJ, and every vendor on site, we made the call. In just 40 minutes, we flipped the entire ceremony back outside. What followed was one of the most joy-filled, emotionally charged ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed. You can feel it in the photos—the gratitude, the disbelief, the overwhelming joy of something long hoped for coming to life. The energy among the vendor team was electric. Every single person showed up, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. Grace and Jace had poured so much kindness and trust into every relationship, and it all came full circle that day. And somehow, the rain never came back. Not during the ceremony, not during dinner, not during dancing. It held off until the very end of the night, when the final boxes were packed, the last cars pulled away, and I turned onto the gravel drive. That’s when the skies opened up again. It was the kind of day you plan for in spreadsheets and schedules—but the magic of it? That you could never plan. It was one of the most magical wedding days I have ever been a part of!

Guest comfort was a top priority for Grace and Jace, especially with their wedding taking place in the height of summer in North Carolina. Knowing guests would be dressed in formal black attire for the outdoor ceremony, we incorporated elegant, functional details to help everyone stay cool while still complementing the overall design. White parasols were placed throughout the ceremony space—a romantic, European-inspired touch that not only added to the visual charm but also offered much-needed relief from the sun. Hand fans were also provided for each guest, styled to evoke a sense of old-world glamour. Together, these thoughtful additions blended form and function, creating a guest experience that felt both considered and beautifully cohesive.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]While Grace originally hadn’t planned on a first look—wanting to preserve the impact of her dramatic ceremony entrance—the realities of a 6 p.m. ceremony start time and a full photography timeline led to a thoughtful pivot. Adding a first look not only eased pre-ceremony nerves, but became a crucial part of the day’s flow. It allowed Grace and Jace to share their private vows in a quiet, heartfelt moment before guests arrived, and gave us the time to capture all of their family portraits and formals while the light was still beautiful. With the unpredictable weather and multiple contingency plans in motion, this ended up being one of the most important decisions of the day, giving us the margin we needed to stay on track while still prioritizing the emotional moments that mattered most. As a result, the couple was able to be fully present for their cocktail hour and reception—no stress, no rush, just celebration.

To bookend the day with the same sense of intention, we added in a private last dance while guests lined up outside for the grand sparkler exit. With the terrace now quiet and empty, Grace and Jace shared one final dance together to Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish. It was a peaceful, joy-filled pause—just the two of them soaking in the final moments of an unforgettable day. Minutes later, they stepped back through the double doors and into their waiting white Range Rover—selected as a subtle nod to the European elegance woven throughout the day—closing out the night with the same emotion and refinement that carried through from start to finish.[/field]

A Summertime Wedding Weekend That Exuded All Things Charleston With Clean and Airy Touches

Becca & Josh’s Charleston wedding weekend was filled to the brim with Lowcountry-centered details, textures, patterns, and florals. Working with the teams at Molly Mazur Events and The Coordination Company, Becca and Josh hosted an unforgettable summertime wedding weekend that exuded all things Charleston with clean and airy touches. The bride desired a floral and patterned linens-focused reception design that balanced modern touches with classic Charleston charm. The weekend began with a chic rooftop rehearsal dinner & cocktail hour at the gorgeous Dewberry Hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston. Their rehearsal dinner featured a whimsical, masculine design filled with shades of green and cream, various textured botanical elements, peaches, walnuts, and antlers galore. Becca & Josh chose to exchange their vows in St. Luke’s Chapel, just minutes away from their reception. The Gadsden House in the heart of downtown Charleston was selected as their wedding reception venue. This historic property, filled with natural light and plenty of beautiful corners, created an ideal backdrop for the couple’s outdoor Charleston wedding reception. Rooms within the house were used for cocktail bars and table seating, and the iconic veranda porches were used for outdoor mingling tables and pub-style tall tables filled with bud vases and patterned linens. The courtyard of the Gadsden House was tented to help beat the summer heat and featured a gorgeous design of white draping, overflowing floral compotes from Festoon Charleston, rattan chandeliers and pub lights, candles and cordless table lamps for soft evening lighting, and patterned linens from Stradley Davidson and BBJ La Tavola. The couple and their guests danced the night away on a custom-wrapped dance floor that paid homage to their custom stationery from Blythe Holliday Designs, with music provided by the Andy Masker Band.

We became inseparable after that and went to Las Vegas three weeks later, where Josh asked me to be his girlfriend. Becca wove her style into each event of their wedding weekend. For her rehearsal dinner, she chose a 3D floral appliqué strapless dress from designer Helsi to reflect the floral-forward design of her wedding weekend. For her wedding day, Becca opted for a chic, modern crepe wedding gown from Rita Vinieris featuring a high neckline, belted waist, open back, and dramatic train with buttons down its length. She paired this modern wedding gown with a gorgeous, lace-edged chapel-length veil for a romantic effect. When the sun set and the music went up, Becca changed into a high neckline, sleeveless crepe mini dress with a feathered hem from designer Amanda Uprichard to dance the night away in!

To accentuate the couple’s color palette of coastal blues, greens, and whites, the bridesmaids’ dresses were a gorgeous light blue silk from Amsale, featured via Bella Bridesmaids, with a trumpet-style, floor-length fit and a one-shouldered bow at the top.

Wedding guests were treated to various stations of Lowcountry-inspired bites from the team at King Street Hospitality Group for their dinners. The couple opted for a reception with informal seating stations on their wedding day, allowing for plenty of mingling and movement throughout the Gadsden House property, both indoors and out. Because of this, they chose to have all speeches covered the night before at their rehearsal dinner. Guests could grab a ‘Lulu Lemonade’, their signature drink named after their sweet puppy, to sip on all night long and beat the summertime Charleston heat!

The bride, Becca, was very keen on having a floral-forward wedding weekend that balanced the classic, blue-and-green Charleston design they had envisioned for both days of events with modern, textured floral arrangements. Working with local Charleston floral designer, Festoon, a concoction of whimsical, organic florals was created for the wedding day. The bridal bouquet was kept modern and clean, featuring an all-white assortment of white and ivory peonies. The bridesmaids’ bouquets reflected the overall design of the reception’s florals, with overflowing, organically shaped bouquets featuring seasonal greenery and blue and white flowers throughout. The wedding ceremony at St. Luke’s Chapel featured large compotes of blue and white flowers that were reminiscent of the floral design of the reception. For their reception’s florals, the team at Festoon created a variety of designs and settings featuring bud vases, large overflowing compotes, and large centerpieces in glass and white textured vases and vessels. The dance floor was lined with rectangular rattan compotes filled with sage green flowers and greenery. Working with the team at Molly Mazur Events and The Coordination Company, the couple crafted a welcoming, coastal-inspired sage and light blue reception of their dreams. The color palette was soft and sophisticated, primarily featuring white, pastel blue, and subtle sage green accents. Tablecloths of various floral and paisley patterns were selected in shades of blue and green, with rounds featuring blue and white patterned linens or soft butter yellow striped linens. White wooden chairs with a modern yet vintage-inspired design complemented the soft tones and overall theme. The table decor included tall glass hurricane candle holders, floating candles, and small floral arrangements in simple bud vases, all contributing to a minimalist and sophisticated look. Petite cordless lamps with soft blue and green shades were placed strategically throughout the tables, adding warmth and an intimate glow to the design. The use of light tones, rattan, patterned linens, and glass elements created an airy, open feel, perfect for a daytime to evening outdoor tented reception.

Becca & Josh opted for a striking yet modern wedding cake from the in-house catering team at the Gadsden House. The vanilla bean cake, featuring four tiers of cake, was adorned with a cascading waterfall of florals and greenery that complemented the rest of their reception. The couple cut their cake inside the Gadsden House, with their cake table from by a historic fireplace & mantel that was bedecked in an overflowing floral arrangement. Heirloom silver champagne coupes and a silver cake stand were used as a nod to the couple’s families.

One Cape Cod Couple’s Celebration Brimming With Coastal Home Decor Inspiration

From home decor pieces by Mrs. Alice to custom lantern chandeliers, coastal living was seamlessly blended into the quintessential Cape Cod aesthetic.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Jack and Amelia’s love for Cape Cod is rooted in the countless weekends they spent together at her parent’s home in Cotuit, escaping the hustle and bustle of Boston. During the early days of Covid in particular, they spent nearly 5 months living on the Cape. They loved starting and ending almost everyday by taking a walk down to Loop Beach near their home. It was fitting that a few summers later, Jack surprised Amelia on one of their evening walks by popping the question! They celebrated the weekend in Cotuit with friends and family and then the following week out in Lake Tahoe with their family members who live in California. The morning of the wedding, Amelia and her sisters walked down to that same beach and took a dip in the ocean before getting ready for the day at their home! [/field]

A Stunning Summer Destination Wedding at Lazarou Beach on Sifnos Island, Greece

An Intimate Tented Wedding Like No Other in Autumn Hues at Villa Montanare

No Italian celebration is complete without an Aperol Spritz. Our cocktail hour was a perfect pairing of delicious cocktails, a champagne tower with rosè Sangiovese Spumante of Baracchi Winery (you looking over the vineyards where they grow the Sangiovese grapes from Villa Montanare), and beautiful small appetizer plates. For the dinner, we ordered a 3-course menu with the most incredible risotto with porcini mushrooms, Bronte tortellini with pistachio cream, and as the main course, a classy “Chianina Bistecca Fiorentina” steak with grilled vegetables. As dessert, we enjoyed the strawberry mascarpone wedding cake.

“Sposa bagnata sposa fortunata” means a wet bride is a lucky bride. It started to rain unexpectedly during the cocktail hour. No problem at all, Troy and Joey had a beautiful plan B and enjoyed the cocktails with many laughs at the beautiful pool bar. Troy sang along with the singer under an umbrella, and everybody had so much fun. The stunning dinner took place under a beautiful gazebo, which elevated the “Terrazza Bellavista” in an even more cozy and romantic dining area.

A Summer Wedding in France at Chateau De La Napoule That Celebrates Grandeur

For our wedding colors, we were never drawn towards any colors in particular, so we decided to let the venue’s beautiful landscape, gardens, and greenery do the talking by going with all-white florals and neutral decor. We envisioned our guests as the pops of color and went with a “Colorful Black-Tie” dress code.

We knew the vibe needed to be as grand and elegant as the Chateau and its surroundings. So, to create that, we knew we had to go with a black tie dress code for our guests. It was so exciting to see everyone dressed to the nines! Our main goal was to create the best party ever for our guests who traveled far and wide to make it to the south of France. We wanted this evening to show them all of our favorite things from Killian’s homeland- the enchanting Mediterranean Sea, the breathtaking architecture, yummy food, bottomless Rosé, and great music. The Chateau was the perfect place to encapsulate all of these things.

We were on a weekend trip to Huntington Beach in California to see one of Killian’s childhood friends play in a volleyball tournament, or so I thought! We had dinner reservations one night, and he said he wanted to go watch the sunset on the beach before, nothing too out of the ordinary for a date night for us. I was shocked when he popped the question, I didn’t even know he had already had a ring for months! We were going to France a few weeks later, but it was burning a hole in his pocket. We never made it to a volleyball gam (sorry Ben), but we went to meet up the next day with his friend, and one of my best girlfriends from college drove up from San Diego to celebrate. It was such a special weekend!

But at my first appointment, that’s exactly what I experienced! I’ll never forget how the tears unexpectedly started flowing with my best friend, my sister, my mom, and both of my grandmothers there. It was such a special moment. I tried on lots of other gowns, even traveling to LA to try on Vera Wang, but nothing compared to the first one I tried on! And I loved being able to support a local business from my hometown.

We knew that we wanted the food to be memorable for ourselves and our guests, and we still hear about it from them to this day! During cocktail hour, we wanted to keep the energy up, so we decided to go with a live pizza station as something interactive for our guests, as well as the usual canapes. To kick off cocktail hour, we made our grand entrance on the cocktail terrace balcony with a champagne tower! This was one of our favorite moments. We had a formal seated 3-course dinner, which allowed everyone to have intimate moments together before the party continued. After dinner, we had a traditional French cheese course to cleanse the palate, followed by an amazing dessert buffet.

My mother-in-law has a beautiful garden and has a love for all plants and flowers, so she willingly helped do all of the floral arrangements for the dinner tables and they came out amazing! Kevin grew up vacationing with his family in Kauai every year. It felt like a second home to them, and they found an undeveloped property on the east side of the island to call their own. Once Kevin and I knew that we were serious about each other, I began to go on the family trips too. During COVID, we went through the double quarantine period to stay on the island for 2 months – just the two of us. It was a special experience, and during this time, we experienced what it was like to live there, ere only loved it to where it felt like home to me too. It was a no-brainer for us when we decided that we wanted to get married in Kauai. We knew we wanted the wedding to be as authentic as possible: both to the island of Kauai and its traditions, and also to ourselves. We were able to find a private property near Kevin’s family that showcased the beauty of the east side of the island. Everything sort of worked backwards from there, knowing that the venue would have both the island green and coastal landscapes. The coconut orchard on the island side set the stage for the ceremony, and the florals reflected that. We cared about having florals that would match the setting. The reception/cocktail hour had views of the ocean as the backdrop, helping to add gravity to an event that was otherwise fun and tropical. We felt we built relationships with our vendors to convey how we wanted our wedding to be: authentic, fun, and meaningful. Our wedding planner, Krisy from K Zeitz wedding, was worth every penny (and more), and this cascaded through the planning process and to the result at the wedding. She spent a ton of time just getting to know us, to where she was able to deliver great recommendations as well as make decisions as an extension of us. As much as we wanted this day to be about us, we also wanted to share our love for the island, too – picking out some of our favorite foods, drinks, and favors to give to our guests. Above all, it was about having fun with our favorite people in our favorite place – sharing the most special day in our lives with the hope that we can spend more time together there in the future. Kevin and I were living in San Diego when he proposed. It was around Christmas time, and we were getting ready to make the drive up the coast to spend the holidays in the Bay Area with our family. To my surprise, Kevin woke up eager to get the day started (which was unusual). He made the suggestion of taking a walk down to one of our favorite spots, Sunset Cliffs, to take in the beautiful morning and stretch our legs before the long drive. We walked down to our favorite little spot where we had been many times. Kevin grabbed my hands and started to share all these wonderful sentiments about our love story and our time in San Diego. I thought he was just having a moment of reflection, but to my surprise, after he finished talking, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in total shock! Up until he was on one knee, I had no idea it was happening! It took me a moment to process what was going on, but I was overjoyed and said yes. On our walk back to our little apartment, Kevin told me that we would be making a pitstop in Santa Barbara on our way home to celebrate. When we got to Santa Barbara, Kevin told me he had made dinner reservations at this cute little French restaurant, Bouchon. When we got to the restaurant, they took us back to this secret little room. To my surprise, our entire family was there waiting for us and had made the drive down to celebrate this special day with us. It was a night I will never forget getting to spend with both of our families, soaking in all the love and excitement for our engagement. When we got to Santa Barbara, Kevin told me he had made dinner reservations at this cute little French restaurant, Bouchon. When we got to the restaurant, they took us back to this secret little room. To my surprise, our entire family was there waiting for us and had made the drive down to celebrate this special day with us. I fell in love with the designer Sarah Seven when I began looking into wedding gowns. I loved how classic, chic and elegant her dresses felt. I chose the Cecilia gown and it truly felt so much like me when I put it on. Since the dress itself was so clean and minimal, I added on this gorgeous belt to give it that extra dimension. I also wanted to add something that was unique and little different from the classic wedding look, so I opted to add on the Brandy overlay which was this beautiful ivory color. It brought my whole vision to life and I felt like Elizabeth James from the Parent Trap. I wore the overlay for our ceremony and photos and took it off for the reception for my second look.

One of our favorite things to do on Kauai when we visit is eat (it also happens to be one of our favorite things to do in general). We have been to some weddings where the food has not been the greatest and we very much wanted the food at our wedding to be great. After all, one of the best parts about Kauai is the diverse food options and fresh fish. Krisy helped point us to Jen at Destination Events Hawaii who works with Chefs Ron and Sam. They were truly fantastic to work with from day one and were even better on the day of. Jen went out of her way to host us at her new place to give us the tasting experience – we knew our guests would love the food the same way we did that day. The pupus that we shared were the kalua pork crostini, ahi tuna poke, and sweet potato and goat cheese potstickers. After trying these in the tasting, Kevin made sure to hype these up to everyone before the wedding – seemingly almost talking about them more than the impending ceremony itself! They were enjoyed with two signature cocktails that we picked out ourselves and gave the recipe to Jen, with the help of my brother who is a bartender and helped design them for us. One was a lilikoi margarita named “Na Pali Girl” after our puppy Na Pali who we adopted last year and the other was a banana rum old fashioned named “The Banana” because it is a nickname for me given by Kevin. The cocktail and pupu hour was perfect with the ocean view setting, the bar that Jen set up on the property, and JoJo’s great music. For dinner, we ate under a beautifully designed outdoor tent (in case of the elements, which luckily did not affect us on our day) and on these long wood tables that Krisy, Kanani and Jen set up. We served everything family style and began with a southwest salad with kale, cotija cheese, pepitas and a cilantro lime dressing. For the main course, we had pepper filets of beef with grilled snapper and a fresh fruit/veggie relish and roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables on the side. There was no shortage of food to go around and it all tasted amazing/was perfectly cooked, especially considering our wedding was sized for 100 guests.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We were getting married in this beautiful setting of Kauai and we wanted our florals to feel organic and fit in with the natural beauty of the island. We opted to keep things very classic with whites and greens being the primary colors for our wedding florals, so it felt like it blended in with the already gorgeous backdrop. It was also very important to us that we picked plants and flowers that felt tropical and not totally foreign to to the island. Our florist Kanani from Milianani Kauaʻi was truly the visionary behind it all. From the very initial conversations, we felt safe in her hands. Her and her team also created these one of a kind custom leis that were the perfect addition to our day. Not only did they look stunning, but they smelled so fresh and beautiful and it’s something we always remember about wedding day.
Velvet Fox was our stationary vendor and they truly blew our expectations out of the water when it came to our invitations and signage. We opted to bring in more of the earth tones for our signage on the wedding day to contrast some of the green backdrop and we couldn’t be more happy with how it all turned out.

We opted for something nontraditional for our wedding sweets since neither do us typically likes cake. On our visits to Kauai, we found this awesome local bakery, Aloha Sweet Delight, and we fell in love with their Malasadas (traditionally a Portuguese donut). They are these light and fluffy donut-like pastries covered in sugar. The most wonderful Hawaiian ladies work in the bakery, and we wanted to share our favorite treat with our wedding guests. Our catering company was nice enough to create dipping sauces like chocolate and fruit compote that were the perfect touch.

For the music in the ceremony, we chose two songs that have sentimental meaning to us. As a tradition, each year before we go to Kauai, we set the stage for the trip by watching a few movies leading up to it. One of those is The Descendants with George Clooney, and the soundtrack features many famous Hawaiian musicians, something we wanted to do on our wedding day as well. The speaker, groom, bride’s family, and wedding party all walked into the scenic orchard location as “Ka Makani Ka’ili Aloha” by Gabby Pahinui and featured in The Descendants, played. I walked down the aisle with my Dad to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. In general, we wanted as much live music as possible at our wedding. Krisy recommended we listen to JoJo Tang, whom she called the “Hawaiian Bruno Mars,” when we were doing some of our early planning visits. We got to meet him and hear him play, and he was just an amazing artist – we think that this undersold how great Jojo was. We were so impressed with not only his talent, where he would do all of the background music himself and then record the vocals, but also his range. When it came to the wedding day, he played everything from country, contemporary, to Hawaiian music, all while engaging the guests beginning in cocktail hohhour inreceptionhrough dinner. I am not sure I can put into words how appreciative we were that he was the one to play at our wedding and helped make the occasion even more special.

Krisy had this amazing idea that she had seen at other weddings to have our seating chart displayed and written on coconuts. Angela Nakahara from Ink and Aloha wrote every guest’s name on the coconuts, and it added such a fun way for our friends and family to find their seats. Since we got married under coconut trees in the front of the property, it was a cool way to tie everything together from the ceremony to the receptions.

Finding a photographer for your wedding is so personal to each couple. Based on our style and preferences, Krisy connected us with Emily Choy. After looking at her website and some of her other galleries, we knew we wanted to meet her and see if she would be willing to capture our wedding. After meeting her over a Zoom call, we fell in love with her as a human and artist! She was such a dream to work with leading up to the wedding on the day itself. It felt like she fit seamlessly into our inner circle, and we were thrilled to have her alongside us for the whole day. Kevin and I opted to do private vows at his family’s property, which was a short 5-minute drive from our venue. Emily drove me there herself! It was so special for us to be able to do our vows in this private spot, and we’re looking forward to all the memories we will make there with our own family one day. Emily was nice enough to send us some sneak peeks of our photos a few days after the wedding, and it was so special to be able to share them with our family while we were all still in Kauai. Fast forward to getting the full gallery before Christmas, and to say we loved the final product is an understatement. She captured the day perfectly, and it was so fun to relive the day through her photos. Her documentary style gave our photos this wonderful, warm authenticity. Some of the film photos were our favorite and the ones we chose to put in our home. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding photos turned out, and working with Emily was a dream!

Paolo proposed to me on his birthday at our house – I was not expecting it at all. After four years together, we had just recently purchased and moved into our first home, we were only living together 5for five days! When I asked him the week before what he wanted for his birthday, all he had said was that he wanted to go to dinner, the two of us, and have our family over for cake to show off our new place. I didn’t think anything of it. While we were out for dinner, his mom was texting me that she was going by our house early to “decorate for his birthday” since I was at work all day, and we went straight to dinner, again, I didn’t think anything of it and said Sure! When we arrived at home, you could see the kitchen decorated with birthday banners, a cake, and our family there; I thought everyone was waiting for him, it was his birthday, of course, so I made him go upstairs first. When I walked up the stairs behind him, I noticed rose petals on the floor, balloons with pictures we took throughout the years hanging from the ceiling, and on our dining table, le in lights, said “marry me”. I was in complete shock, and I think it took a few minutes for me to register what was going on.

My gown was a custom dress made by Lee Grebenau and Powder Boutique. I had gone to Powder knowing that Lee was having a trunk show; there were 2 gowns that I had seen on her Instagram page from the newest collection that I was dying to “get out of my head”. I only tried on 8 dresses at the boutique, and once I tried on the “Glow” gown, I knew it was the one. We had made modifications to the neckline, and Powder made custom straps and a cape that connected at the back of my dress. I didn’t see myself as a veil person, and thought a cape was a unique and elegant but modern touch to tie the look together.

When it came to bridesmaids, the most important thing for me was for them to look and feel their best. I gave them total freedom to choose whatever dress they wanted at whatever price point they felt comfortable with. The only ask was for the colour range to be in the off white, creams, golds, and beige tones. All girls ended up getting their dresses from different places, and I couldn’t have been happier with what dresses they chose. Although they were all SO different, all of them together looked amazing.

We adopted the same mentality with the groomsmen as we did for the bridesmaids, I mean, how many black suits can one have? Paolo, his dad, my dad, my brother, and his best man all got custom suits made from a local tailor, Domenic Calabretta, who has been a family friend to both Paolo and my Dad for years! He has made suits for everyone from Andrea Bocelli to TV shows like Suits. He is an amazing tailor who really understands Paolo’s vision and has a keen eye for detail and style.

Emilia and Paolo’s wedding was filled with Tuscan tradition. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a traditional apéritif overlooking Florence with food stations, passed delicacies, and traditional cocktails from the region. Following Apertif, guests enjoyed a black tie sit-down dinner that included 4 courses with local ingredients.

Delicate, locally sourced florals were used throughout Emilia’s design to seamlessly complement the beautiful setting. Varieties such as the Emma Woodhouse garden rose, Playa Blanca roses, blush spray roses, and seasonal peonies created weightiness and anchored the design. Chocolate lisianthus, scabiosa, and white orlaya brought playfulness and movement to the design while local foliages created loose edges to finish it off. The ceremony’s floral structure was created as if growing up the historical stone wall. Loose foliage and an undone floral looped around the front of the fountain and climbed up the wall on either side. The floral tabletop at the reception followed the design of the ceremony, with loose and airy flowers lining the lengths of the tables. Slim candles were used throughout, creating a romantic transition into the evening as the sun sank over the Tuscan horizon.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a traditional Mille-feuille which involves layers of puff pastry and vanilla custard and mascarpone cream with hints of strawberry and chocolate chips, per the bride’s request! It was prepared before guests by a pastry chef, with the help of the bride and groom of course. This traditional live cake event took place amidst a backdrop of fireworks.[/field]

Our parents (both sides on separate occasions) had reached out to our wedding planner, Michelle had surprised us with an over-the-top, amazing fireworks show. It was the highlight of the evening, and we were completely shocked. I remember looking at Paolo when they started going off and saying to him, that’s not for us, I swear I didn’t pay for it!” Our guests are still talking about the fireworks, and how it was a better show than what you would see for any national holiday.

Our Wedding planner, Michell, and her assistant Francesca deserve all the credit for our amazing day. I really couldn’t have done it without them. Michelle went above and beyond to make sure that not only I was taken care of, but all our guests as well. At one point, just before the ceremony started, it started to rain when rain wasn’t at all in the forecast. Michelle and the team sprinted into action and ensured that every guest had an umbrella, and the whole setup outside was covered. She also knew how important it was to me to be able to have cocktail hour on the terrace, despite the heavy recommendations from vendors against having the food out on the terrace due to heat, the weather thankfully cooperated, and Michelle made my vision come to life; I can’t thank her enough, she has become a life long friend throughout the process. She is a true expert and creative visionary.

To accompany these delectable bites, Aperol and Campari spritz, along with crisp prosecco, were served, setting a fun and elegant tone for the celebration. The dinner began with a delicate lobster and sweet pepper starter, followed by a rich black truffle risotto as the first course. A Modern and Minimalist Wedding Look at the Crossed Keys Estate in New Jersey

The bride and groom designed their picture-perfect wedding day beside the visionaries at Crossed Keys Designs with a neutral color palette to showcase the beauty of Crossed Keys Estate’s newest addition, The Farmhouse. Their design contrasted beautifully with the inside decor, with white flowers draping from the chandeliers along with a mixture of white, beige, and gold touches throughout the tables. Candles lined the wall of windows and tables, setting the perfect ambiance for the evening. The grounds were dressed with a mixture of red, yellow, and white mums and beautiful fall foliage. Their bridal parties followed a similar theme with the bridesmaids wearing sage green dresses by Jenny Yoo from Bella Bridesmaids in a variety of cuts and the groom and his groomsmen wearing classic tuxedos from The Black Tux. The bride instantly fell in love with her A-Line bridal gown that she stepped into at Park Avenue Bridals, which had a gorgeous modern elegance with a beautiful bow cascading down the train that was perfect for her on the special day. All of the choices left the couple loving their big day and were a beautiful way to kick off their married life together.

They say the best things in life happen when you least expect them. The same could be said for Bryan and Ariel. As graduate students and interns at the same company, their story began in friendship. Having many mutual friends, they began to find themselves together more often than not. Before they knew it, they were talking every day and became inseparable. Then one summer day, Bryan took Ariel for a walk to a local dock to ask her a very important question. From there, their love story officially began. Shortly thereafter, the world was hit with a little something called the global pandemic. After a year of hunkering down together, they decided to take their next leap into home ownership. One year later, there was just one thing missing from their life together: a proposal. One rainy spring day, Bryan and Ariel made a surprise stop at the local dock where their love story first began. A Summer Wedding in Lowcountry Under a Sprawling Live Oak Tree

This wedding featured a stunning assortment of colors within the pink family. The deep salmon bridesmaid dresses and dusty pink pillar candles used on the tables coordinated beautifully with the whites, light pinks, and soft coral of the florals used throughout the wedding decor and bouquets.

Much like the wedding itself, the bride’s gown was understated with an emphasis on floral design. The dress had a gorgeous sweetheart neckline, and the back was sheer with floral appliqué.

The bride and groom each had a signature cocktail, a spicy watermelon margarita for her and a sazerac for him. Cocktail hour included a lovely selection of passed hors d’Oeuvres, and the plated dinner featured chicken, fish, and beef.

The couple chose a stunning Live Oak tree at Lowndes Grove under which to marry, and the tree was beautifully adorned with a stunning arrangement. Additionally, a lovely, grounded floral arch surrounded the couple during the ceremony. The reception tables, a mix of round and banquet style, included stunning gold flatware and dinnerware with gold accents. The tables were adorned with candles and floral arrangements that added an exquisite atmosphere to the reception tent.

The wedding cake had an understated elegance, with it being fully white and yet including sugar arrangements of flowers that matched those used on the bride’s dress and within the arrangements.

Tradition, Texture and Twinkle Lights at the Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs

A beautiful selection of apps and drinks was served.

The ceremony had an ombre aisle, starting with greenery, and then white florals were added, gradually increasing in quantity as you got closer to the ceremony front. Bridesmaids had individual ingredient bouquets to complement their beautiful mismatched bridesmaid dresses. The Kims were married on 11/11, so it just seemed fitting that KIMS has an 11/11 in it. Take a peek at their cocktail napkins + afterparty slippers to see what we mean. Guests were welcomed into the cocktail hour with a “Palm Springs looks good on you” mirrored seating chart display, where guests would find their table and could take a selfie. The draped entryway led guests into a twinkle light monocratic white on white reception, with single ingredient floral arrangements + candles dressing the tables. After dinner, guests were surprised with an epic after party in the ballroom, decorated with balloons filling the ceiling and silver fringe chandeliers, setting the tone for an epic dance party. Branded slippers awaited guests so they could dance the night away in comfort.

Pops of Bright Summer Color and Rustic Elegance at the Adirondacks

The vibe for the wedding was rustic elegance. It was important to us that the aesthetic felt native to the Adirondacks while also feeling elevated and beautiful. The team at True Event made the planning process so fun, and we enjoyed working with them to make our special day come to life. The Adirondacks are close enough to Manhattan that everyone could drive, but far enough away that it felt like a true destination wedding. We wanted our guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and the lake with friends and family. We wanted to make sure our whole weekend was beautifully documented, so we brought in a top photographer and videographer to document it all. Liz Banfield, our amazing photographer, captured our wedding so perfectly and beautifully using both digital and film photography. We are so grateful for her! Our videographer, Stop Go Love, also did an incredible job of documenting the energy and love of the weekend.

Sam proposed to me in Paris on the steps of the historic Alexander Bridge. He had me fooled that we were going to get drinks at a nearby hotel. I nearly ruined the surprise by insisting that we take an Uber because of my high heels. Luckily, he knew I had no sense of direction and was able to convince me we had arrived at the hotel on the banks of the Seine. He got down on one knee, and I was shocked. Afterwards, we took photos together in beautiful gardens along the river, and when we got back to the Hotel Bristo, he had both our families surprise us. We partied all night at Gigi with beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower. It was such a memorable celebration!

Esien Stein designed my dress, and I purchased my dress at Mark Ingram Atelier in New York City. From the beginning, I knew I wanted a dress with a floralappliquée as a nod to the Adirondack wildflowers. I wanted my dress to feel unique and elegant while also remaining timeless. The minute I tried on my dress, I knew immediately it was “the one.” After the reception, I changed into a mini white and sparkly dress designed by Rebecca Vallance. I love to dance, so I wanted something fun and to set the tone for a packed dance floor.

The dress code for our wedding was summer formal. I wanted my bridesmaids to feel their very best and channel their style, so we embraced the BYO dress trend. My bridesmaids were in shades of blue, navy, and green to match our color scheme, and they nailed it. The dresses were in various styles, patterns, and textures. I started a clothing care company called Nori with my co-founder, who is also one of my best friends and a bridesmaid. We made sure that all the dresses were wrinkle-free with our handheld steam iron called the Nori Press.

The Groom and Groomsmen wore black tie with an Adirondack Twist. They all wore bow ties made of green feathers by Brackish that wove in perfectly with the Pine Trees and accents of green in the bridesmaids’ dresses.

My husband and I are both big foodies, so it was important to us that our guests enjoy delicious food after a journey up to Lake Placid. Marcia Selden Catering & Events did such an amazing job! They drove up a team of incredibly helpful and spirited caterers who made sure there was never an empty glass or hungry mouth in sight. And every bite was also beautifully presented. We started cocktail hour with endless passed hors d’oeuvres, including lobster rolls, mini grilled cheeses, spicy tuna crackers, short rib truffles, and spring rolls. For the appetizer, we served a shaved Brussels sprouts salad with a truffled risotto cake. The entrée was a duet with halibut and filet. I have a huge sweet tooth, so Marcia Selden passed out warm churros, chocolate chip cookies with shots of Bailey’s Irish Cream, trays filled with candy, wedding cake, and fresh popsicles. For the signature cocktails, we served a spicy margarita called Burning Love and a dirty martini called an Eiffel Tini, in honor of our Paris engagement. My father, Howard, is a talented wine collector, and he enjoyed curating some of our favorite California wines, including a Caymus, a Martinelli Pinot, and a Pahlmeyer Chardonnay.

Yumiko and her brilliant team at Hana Floral made my floral dreams come true and designed the most beautiful flowers. We wanted our florals to feel fresh and have pops of color to stand out amongst all of the surrounding greenery. We also really leaned into the Adirondack setting and had plenty of ferns, moss, pine, and birch.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We served a three-tier Adirondack S’mores Cake covered in delicate wildflowers and greenery. Inside was a mix of chocolate cake, marshmallows, and a graham cracker crumble.

With my last name being “Love,” we leaned into the Love theme. Our first dance was “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole. Our band, the Miami Project, was unbelievable!. They kept the whole wedding on their feet all night and had us stage diving to our favorite songs. At the end of the night, our family and friends joined us on stage to belt out Mr. Brightside. There were so many people on the stage that it almost collapsed!

My mom surprised me with a white silk purse that she had made, combining fabric and buttons from both her wedding dress and my grandmother’s wedding dress. My grandmother is no longer with us, so I loved carrying a piece of her with me on my big day!

Pine Tree Point itself was the ultimate personal detail and informed everything from the invitation to the food and flowers. The personal history combined with the character of the property made our celebration truly a dream wedding.

An at Home Spring Wedding Centered Around Simplicity and Sentimentality

Simplicity and sentimentality quickly commanded the bulk of their design decisions. They appreciate items that aren’t fussy or unnecessary, but that are instead well-made, beautiful, and thoughtful. They were excited to celebrate with their nearest & dearest- eager to have a good party, infusing both tradition and personality into the design. Ashton events promised them a day that was “soft, authentic, and intentional” and said the key words surrounding the event were: “Joy, relaxed, southern, family, dancing”

Kaylyn + Travis met on Hinge- a (in hindsight) brilliant step out of both of their comfort zones. He was her first match, and they went to a local barbecue restaurant for their first date. They quickly realized that their dynamic was unique and worth pursuing. Three years later, they were ready to tie the knot! Travis pulled off the surprise of Kaylyn‘s lifetime with the proposal. Though they had been talking about it for a year, he managed to disguise the evening by suggesting a simple ride on a side-by-side around her family‘s property. After their private proposal and an enthusiastic yes, the newly engaged couple got to celebrate with her family at her sister‘s house.

Good food catering provided simple green salads to begin the evening, and then an array of fun and delicious stations opened. Buttermilk fried chicken on top of mashed potatoes, a sausage carving table, and a southern grits bar delighted guests as they had their fill before heading over to the jam-packed dessert table.

The florals were housed in a collection of ceramic, rattan, and clear glass vessels. All of the accenting candles were in clear or amber glass- a mix of both smooth and ribbed textures. The mix of shapes created an approachable, relaxed look. The florals were garden-inspired, featuring a mix of different leaves, weights, etc. Oak, yellow copper beech,h, and ruscus leaves were used as foliage to create a lush, full look. The florals had subtle shades of blush, mauve, apricot,ot, and cream, which brought vibrancy and femininity to the space. Hellebore, peonies, garden roses, fritillaria, ranunculus, tulips, butterfly ranunculus, and spray roses all contributed to a soft, romantic vibe. The front of the private drive had a fabric sign hanging from a wooden easel, helping guide the guests. A small floral moment sat at the base, filled with colorful blooms. As the guests arrived, they were greeted by a valet attendant at the end of the long private drive. A crisp, white arch sat beneath the majestic canopy of trees, beckoning them ahead. The archway had pockets of colorful blooms dancing up along the frame, with sprawling greens reaching further. After the ceremony, guests followed the path back to the welcome table, which was filled with glasses of prosecco, ready to be enjoyed. A sign encouraged the guests to experience a wandering cocktail hour amongst the trees. High-topped tables were spread throughout the lan covered in blue and taupe velvet linens. Petite bowls filled with blooms accented the tables, and some were donned with rattan vases filled with greenery.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Between the guest tables and the lounge on the northeast corner of the tent sat the cake table. A small round table, covered in the same linen as the welcome table. It featured an array of platters and sweet treats, as well as a simple two-tier white wedding cake adorned with a few blooms. [/field]

As guests arrived on the property, sounds of a string trio carried throughout the crowd, intermixed with peals of laughter and cheerful conversation. The guests were excited and enjoyed being able to catch up briefly before the ceremony began. A winding path moved them from the welcome table over to the ceremony area. As they followed along the path, they noticed the white chairs lined up neatly in rows. The rattan back with the soft white chair pad added just a touch of Southern romance to the space. Ferns lined either side of the aisle, a natural addition from the Floridian landscape. White blooms were tucked high into the ferns, adding a bit of ahimsa and femininity to the aisle.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Instead of a traditional program, guests were handed fans that had a two-sided program affixed to the wooden handle. The new monogram for the bride & groom made its first appearance here![/field]

Kaylyn owns a home on the same property as her parents and sister, where the couple was married.. A self-proclaimed homebody, it’s her sacred space. At the end of the night, we were able to capture Travis carrying his bride over the threshold of their new home, together.

Our color palette choice was a combination of our favorite colors (dusty blue and maroon), and neutrals to bring them together. We knew those colors would highlight the beauty of Telluride while not overshadowing the view. Ashley Mansy with Poppati Events truly helped us bring these polar opposite colors to life in the most seamless way!

From the bride: Our hope was for the natural beauty of Telluride to be the centerpiece. We didn’t want to add anything unnecessary that could potentially detract from the scenery, so we incorporated our colors mainly in the reception area, which was appropriate for the cool tones of the color palette, and also in the outdoor cocktail hour. We envisioned simple, yet playful, and that’s exactly what was brought to life. From the planner: “The Coughlins Dream Team” seating chart: Celebrating the bride’s current career as a professional volleyball player and the groom’s as a professional football player, we created a sports-inspired seating chart. Miniature volleyballs and footballs were adorned with guests’ names in calligraphy, designed to mimic autographed memorabilia, and paired with jersey-style table numbers. Together, all of their favorite people at the wedding made up their ultimate “Coughlin Dream Team.” Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with glasses of bubbly, each adorned with “The Coughlins,” setting a celebratory and elegant tone. In honor of the groom’s love for cigars, we flew in a master cigar roller from Miami. Guests enjoyed freshly rolled cigars featuring custom bands designed with the couple’s logo at the outdoor cigar lounge. Guests were also welcome to take one home as a keepsake. Live Wedding Artist: A live painter captured a magical scene from the wedding ceremony in real-time, creating a timeless keepsake for the couple to treasure forever. Custom Card Deck Guest Book: Highlighting the couple’s shared love of card games, we designed a custom deck featuring their invitation artwork and “The Coughlins.” Guests signed individual cards with heartfelt messages, creating a meaningful and interactive guest book. Every time the couple plays, they’ll be reminded of their special day and the loved ones who celebrated with them.

The first time Yossi and I met in person was when I went out to Dallas, TX, to visit my best friend from high school, but our initial friendship started weeks prior. I had shared my faith testimony on Instagram after God drastically changed my life, and I encouraged others to do the same. I reached out to several friends, teammates, and people I knew might be interested, and in doing so, we ended up having a lot more male participation than female. Because of this, I broadened my search, and through the Instagram rabbit hole, I came upon an interview where Yossi talked about her faith playing a big role on the volleyball court. On April 26th, 2021, I decided to send her a message. My initial DM was met with some deep questions from Yossi about what it looked like for me to go “all in” on my faith, and we began messaging as she felt she had been giving God only portions of her heart, which is where I too was before this intervention from God. We messaged back and forth until the depth of conversation called for a FaceTime. In that first call, we were both transparent, real, and honest. It was a beautiful thing. We continued conversing over the following weeks, and then I made my way to Dallas! Yossi drove from Waco, where she was attending school at Baylor University, and joined my friend and me at Top Golf. She was EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE in person than she was on the phone – both personality and physical beauty. A few weeks lat, er while we were both denying our feeli,ngs she made her way out to Minnesota, where I spent the offseason, and by the end of the short weekend, it was clear, I wanted to date Yossi regardless of the long distance and unknowns that were holding me back. June 28h 2021, I asked if she’d be my girlfriend and she responded “duh!” September 2nd, 202,4, I had everything planned, now it was time for execution. I had asked her dad for his blessing, had the ring, and had coordinated what I prayed would be a very special night for the two of us. During my football seasons playing for the New York Giants, Yossi would come out and visit whenever we could make it work. Over those few years while dating, we had fallen in love with a restaurant in Times Square called Hunt & Fish Club. We had many special dates there and had gotten very close with the owner, Nelson, and the staff. One of their signature touches was custom name-engraved steak knives for recurring guests. We both had one with our names, but months before, I asked the owner if he could make a third knife with her first name and my last name. Nelson was ecstatic to be a part of our special night. I told Yossi that the restaurant wanted to do a promotional photo shoot featuring us with our knives, which made sense as she and I were both professional athletes. This ensured she got her hair, nails, makeup, and dress done exactly how she’d want (Like I said, I tried to plan for everything). The “shoot” started in a private room off the dining area, with me taking some quick photos, and then, finally, it was her turn to grab her knife. She grabbed the knife and glanced down to make sure it was he, rs and quickly realized something didn’t look right. While confusion and excitement were racing through her head, I kneeled and pulled out the ring. She said yes, and we celebrated, embracing each other, but I still had one more surprise. Her one request when we discussed engagement earlier in our relationship was for her friends and family to be there. I took her by the hand and led her downstairs, where there was a large private event area. We walked around the corner, entering the room, and boom! Standing there were her parents, my parents, close friends, and some teammates. Everyone cheered and congratulated us, we greeted everyone, and then finished the night with a delicious meal surrounded by the people we loved most. God answered my prayer, it was a night we’ll never forget!

I tried on their beautiful array of gowns, and the Goldie hugged me beautifully and elegantly while highlighting my skin tone with the unique pearlescent ivory color. I did not need any alterations due to the various sizes and lengths they offer![/field]

My bridesmaids wore beautiful dresses from Azazie in the color Dusty Blue with satin stretch material. This color looked great on all my bridesmaids despite being different shades and undertones! Everyone’s shape, size, and height are different, so I gave my bridesmaids the option to choose a neckline that catered to their comfortability and confidence!

The wedding flowers for Yossi and Carter were inspired by the natural shades of the mountains above telluride. They were a combination of curated blooms like dusty mauve garden roses and locally grown farm flowers such as champagne double lisianthus and pale blue delphinium. They choose a dramatic full floral look by lining the entire platform at the top of San sophia overlook adding more drama to the mountain view. The touch of light blue and terracotta perfectly emulated the shades of early summer in Colorado.

An Extravagant 3-Day Wedding Weekend at Villa Del Balbianello in Springtime

Day 1 Engagement. The whole vibe and vision was that of a monochromatic white and black theme with live music that made it a beautiful, romantic evening. Customisation of dinnerware, cutlery, napkins, wine glasses, and whatnot; everything was just perfect with a beautiful decor of theme coloured flowers.

Day 2 Morning Haldi The theme of Pastel shades with Blue, Lavender, Green, and Turmeric in the open gardens of Villa Florii, served a fresh, magical view that was way too pretty and elegant. The live dhol combined with the DJ took the enthusiasm to another level, where everyone got involved in it. Evening Mehandi – Bling and Shimmer with Red Pomegranate theme. Staying true to their theme of Scintillate, the couple and guests incorporated a lot of bling, shimmer, and drama to their starry evening, with our Red pomegranate theme standing out in decor. The customised cushions, throws, welcome table at the entrance, and the centre table were all curated with the beautiful red crystal pomegranates. The live drummer added a zing to the night, playing the most happening numbers, which took the entertainment quotient to the next level. All in all, it turned out to be the most rocking night of the wedding.

Day 3: Pizza party. The morning of day 3 began by making their pizza in aprons and chef caps designed and customised with their names. Not only this, even the spoons, forks, napkins, and other cutlery were customised too. The guests were extremely happy and excited, both with customisation and the idea of making their pizza right from scratch. Each one explored and made different pizzas by adding various toppings to the plate. Not only did they make their pizza, but they also baked and ate it. What an experience to remember with all the happy faces of contentment. Wedding – Ivory and Gold Timeless yet glamorous, whites and ivories have a hold on the hearts and are a way to kick it up a notch. It was a classic, romantic, and elegant wedding with extremely beautiful floral work, just perfect for the occasion. The combination of a breathtaking view, with Indian rituals was outstanding. The sound of the conch and traditional music gave goosebumps to everyone standing there. The couple said “I DO” in the most beautiful way possible. This stunning wedding encapsulated the delicate beauty with an impact of creating cherishable moments and memories forever.

A Secret Garden Wedding Set Inside a Historic Landmark in Downtown Chicago

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake by Flourish cake design flowed seamlessly into the woodland inspired
decor design by Jesse Deckard, created of all sugar. Four tiers of alternating
heights give the cake a modern silhouette. The base of the
cake was covered in moss and cobblestones, with lush
full florals ringing base and crawling up the left side of the cake.
Jasmine vines and smilax twining through the black
cut-out gate covering the middle two tiers from the invitation design and decor. Florals transitioned into tree branches with tumbling wisteria floating
down off the top tier down the right side of the cake. A few painted
butterflies on the top tier and 2 floating butterflies flew
off wisteria atop the cake. Subtle modeled mushrooms and rabbits
were tucked into florals at the base.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The invitation suite was designed to mimic the ceremony space decor. A custom created laser cut gate opened onto a cobblestone walkway lined in florals leading to a pair of lifesize wisteria trees. We had a lifesize laser cut gate made for the entry of the aisle exactly replicating the invitation gate. A fabric printed lifelike cobblestone walkway created the aisle lined in floral. Following the ceremony, the gates were moved to the entrance into the reception. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The ceremony area was framed by two custom designed and built life-size 17 foot tall and 17 foot wide leaf trees covered in thousands of lavender purple wisteria along with wild smilax foliage. They were housed in white planter boxes with beds of textural mosses. After the ceremony, two life-size wisteria trees were moved to either side of the band stage. Oversized tabletop wisteria trees were made for half of the tables anchored by textural florals, foliages and levels of twinkling candlelight. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Other elements from the invitation suite were also used in the decor design. Custom printed linens on half the tables featured the floral garland from the monogram design inspired by the floral used for decor. The monogram was printed on the dance floor cover surrounded by a gold foil border much like elements of the invitation. The custom floral artwork was also featured on oversized menus as each place setting, custom printed pillows and other signage. [/field]
