Monroe Wedding at The Cotton Warehouse from Stella Harper Events

Stella Harper Events designed and created this gorgeous vintage chic wedding for this out-of-state bride and groom. With a pretty and fresh color palette of pinks and blues, they crafted a unique day filled with lots of antique and handmade details. Blume Photography snapped up all the images and you can see it all right here the full gallery.

From Stella Harper EventsVirginia and James were married at the Cotton Warehouse in Monroe, Georgia. They both live in Washington, DC, but decided to have the wedding in Georgia because everyone would be coming from out of town and the groom’s parents live in Georgia. Virginia and James hired Stella Harper Events (SHE) originally for our Rehearsal + Day of Package originally, but sadly the groom’s father passed away suddenly about 6 months before the wedding. The design for the ceremony was a project that was supposed to be completed by the father, but after his passing, Virginia and James did not want to go forward with that design I believe because it was just too painful.

Hearing of their loss, I offered to take hold of the design and make it something they would love, around the color scheme already set in place (blues and pinks). I worked with our preferred vendors to ensure the florals were reflective of the couple. We found the tins and china plate table numbers that were on the guest tables at local antique shops and on Etsy. The bunting flags (chalkboard sign on the sweets table, fabric bunting on the mantle and on the cake) were all hand made by SHE. It really was a fun project.

South Georgia Wedding from Elizabeth Davis Photography

Get ready for some seriously pretty inspiration because this wedding is full of the most amazing details. My favorite? The gorgeous wrought iron pergola altar decorated with tons and tons of mini vases filled with pink flowers hanging from ribbon. It makes for the prettiest backdrop to say I do. Elizabeth Davis Photography snapped up all the goodness and you can click here for even more!

From Elizabeth Davis Photography… Michael & Jennifer’s deep south wedding on an elegant, sweeping southern Georgia plantation, Pebble Hill, complete with brilliant live bluegrass band and horse and buggy rides. Groomsmen wore khaki suits with black ties, bridesmaids wore black dresses with bright pink and green bouquets. All of the flowers included miniature succulents. Guest were served specialty cocktails garnished with orange slices as they arrived on the green for the ceremony. The altar was a wrought iron pergola on which glass vases full of pink and white flowers were suspended by ribbon. Centerpieces were tall hurricanes filled with bamboo shoots and pink buds. Tablecloths were white linen draped with burlap.

Savannah Wedding at 10 Downing from LeeAnn Ritch Photography

On a day that celebrates romance in the biggest of ways, it makes perfect sense that we share this darling Savannah wedding from LeeAnn Ritch Photography.  A wedding, lovelies, that began with a fairytale romance in Norway (yes, Norway!) and ended with a drop-dead gorgeous affair at the always beautiful 10 Downing.  From the fab stylings of Ashley Warren Harless Event Design to the stunning florals by A to Zinnias to one moment after another of pure lovely, it’s the finest in Valentine’s Day treats.  Click here for all of the pretty.

From the Bride… I’ve always had a strange draw to Scandinavia ever since I was a child. It always seemed like such a utopia so when the opportunity arose during my masters to study in Norway I jumped at the chance. It was while I was in Oslo in B-School that I met Magnus. He was charming and well put together and I was the “Cute American in a sweatshirt.” And through a series of fortunate events from run-ins on the t-bane, promises of Norwegian lessons, and the loss of an apartment key we started dating. Six years later Magnus popped the question and, although I still don’t speak Norwegian (I’m learning I swear!), I married my best friend and couldn’t be happier.

Given Magnus was Norwegian and I was American we decided to have a destination wedding so it would be a vacation for all our guests. After picking December as the wedding month and the US immigration policy strongly suggesting against being wed off US soil we selected the southeastern United States. When we researched cities and stumbled across Savannah, GA – an American city with a European charm- we were hooked! Not only did people gush about it as a wedding destination, but Magnus and I had taken a surprise weekend trip there when he lived in Florida and fell in love with the city. In love to the point that we joked how we would one day buy a mansion on one of the many squares and retire. At the time little did we know we would end up staying in one of those mansions {The Wedding Cake Mansion} on our wedding!

Knowing nothing about wedding in Savannah, I started my research and realized a friend of a friend was an event planner in Savannah. I remembered seeing pictures of her wedding and loving her style so after an introduction we booked Ashley of Ashley Warren Harless Event Design immediately. Ashley introduced us to some amazing vendors and locations and after a whirlwind planning weekend we fell in love with 10 Downing. With the location in hand we planned our color scheme….. neutrals with hints of light blue and light grey to create a classic romantic feel. The minimalist venue was the perfect blank canvas for our wedding. With beautiful hardwood floors and simplistic features in the venue’s main room to the brown bar room for the cocktail hour we were able to get that old world charm with just the right hint of modern for me and my soon to be Scandinavian husband’s tastes. Our florist A to Zinnias worked with us to pick the perfect look with white roses and hydrangea placed in handmade wooden planters carved with our initials and set the room with many candles. And our cake was exactly what we wanted, not only did Carrie of TWO Cakes design it exactly as I described but it tasted amazing.

North Georgia Wedding at Montaluce Winery from Heather Cook Elliott

When I first locked eyes with this Montaluce Winery wedding from Heather Cook Elliott, I would have never, in a million years, guessed it belonged on the Georgia blog! The gorgeous rolling hills and lush vineyard locale took my mind directly to Tuscany, Italy, not Dahlonega, Georgia! It was at this little gem of a venue, in the North Georgia Mountains, where the sweetest couple became Mr. and Mrs. surrounded by family + friends. See it all right here!

From Heather Cook Elliott… Andrea & Ray were married overlooking a vineyard in the North Georgia Mountains where most folks don’t know that a little slice of Tuscany exists. Their outdoor wedding was preceded by one of my favorite first looks ever – Ray was nervous then calm, nervous again and then finally, completely and for the rest of the day perfectly calm once Andrea tip toed up behind him between rows of grapes on vines. He seemed to exhale a breath he didn’t know he was holding and she giggled. She glowed. She looked amazing. And she would soon be Ray’s wife. Andrea’s minister brother officiated the nuptials and the wedding party was intimately small and included Ray’s dad as one of the groomsmen. The details were plentiful and festive and just basically joyful – sweet flowers from the fields set off by rustic wood tables, delicious cuisine from the award winning dining room at Montaluce, a rich his and hers set of cakes, and then the sparklers – so many sparklers to wish them well at the end of the night.

Georgia Backyard Wedding from Valore Photography

When a couple chooses a home, it is impossible to look decades down the road and declare, “My future daughter will get married in this backyard. Let’s buy it!” But, that she did. This little girl who chased butterflies in the backyard grew up to marry her love right where her swing set used to be. And isn’t that just the thing about love…it is always in a place that knows you better than you know yourself. Look at me, I have completely melted into a bowl of mush thanks to Valore Photography‘s images! For even more from this sweet couple, check out the gallery of images with some fun DIY ideas.

From the Bride… I just had to share my August 4, 2012 wedding because my mother put it together so wonderfully. It was all I could have hoped for and more, and all on a budget. We DIY’ed everything possible. We styled our own program fans from vintage feel paper found at Hobby Lobby. We used my mom’s own “hen and chick” succulents in small terracotta pots with labels ordered online for our favors. We used a lot of burlap and tons of candles for a very romantic and vintage feel. My mother also made all of the signage as well. Most of the table decor was antiques pulled right from the house: from old cameras, antique eye glasses, old books and my grandmother’s milk glass vases.

Our florist used hydrangeas and antique roses for my bouquet and the arrangements in light green and peach. She used my collection of both of my grandmother’s antique brooches and initagrated them into the bouquet. A friend played “Ribbon in the Sky” by Stevie Wonder on the keyboard for my walk down the ailse. We had a pair of violinists playing for the pre-ceremony and cocktail hour before we transitioned to a DJ. The food was heavy appetizers and we served beer, wine and a signature cocktail called “The Frenchie” (pear vodka, cranberry juice and pineapple juice). It was a huge hit! Since it was high summer with an outside reception, a friend made hydrangea cupcakes rather than a wedding cake. The “garden fairies” (flower girls) were adorable. My mother made their wings with dried pampas grass.

It was priceless to hold the wedding at the house I grew up in. Getting married in the same yard that I had a swing set in. The same yard I chased butterflies in with my little brother. My mother made our wedding special and unique and it turned out beautifully. I wouldn’t have changed one thing. No one could believe we didn’t have a planner or coordinator. She worked all summer during her time off from teaching on making her only daughter’s day the best it could have been.

Savannah Wedding at Roundhouse Museum from LeeAnn Ritch Photography

Industrial venues are some of my favorite places in the world to get married.  There’s just something about exposed brick walls juxtaposed with wedding day pretty that sends my heart into overdrive… every single time.  So, when this lovely Roundhouse Railroad Museum affair came my way, it was like Christmas morning.  One filled with DIY details, Baby’s Breath bouquets and an entire gallery of gorgeous images from LeeAnn Ritch Photography.  Oh, and they served fried chicken.  Which is beyond awesome.  See so much more of the day right here.

From the Bride… We really wanted to give our guests a great Southern experience, Brian is from California and I am from Michigan – most of our guests came from across the United States and Canada. We picked the Roundhouse Railroad Museum because it was ideally located downtown Savannah and it was such a great historic space which is what Savannah is all about. The historic brick walls and quaint garden gave the perfect backdrop to our wedding.

We kept things simple and did most of the decorating ourselves. Our families came into town early to help get everything ready. My sisters, mother, and father helped us sort through ten bunches of Baby’s Breath to create the centerpieces and bouquets – I picked Baby’s Breath because it has such a whimsical feel to it and it is far from traditional which we also liked. I found out from my sister later that Baby’s Breath means “eternal love,” I can’t think of a better flower to have at a wedding.

Continuing with the Southern theme, we used fresh Georgia peaches as escort card holders and served fried chicken and shrimp and grits for dinner. Guests raved about how sweet and delicious the peaches were! By doing a lot of the decorating and planning ourselves we were really able to make the day something that was very much our own which we could then share with our friends and family.

Georgia Wedding from Audra Starr Photography + The Funky Shack

This couple? They are adorable. And it only takes one look at their wedding captured by Audra Starr Photography to know they are squeeze-worthy. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that their wedding was equally charming. Rustic with the perfect amount of sweetness, every nook and cranny if filled with love-filled details. The gorgeous Bride described her big day as “better than any board she could have pinned”, and I do believe she is right. See it all here!

From Audra Starr PhotographyBrittany White+Jacob McCullough are one of my new favorite couples, and I’m sure you won’t be able to help falling in love with them too! They have this totally disarming way about them that can put anyone at ease. Brittany is super charming and witty, and Jacob is the epitome of manly man (and is definitely the guy you want on your trivia time, he knows everything!). They live simply, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. And the best part? They are ALL about each other.

Every little piece of their wedding reflected them, and even though they wanted to keep it simple, they still managed to make it stunning and full of charm. They had their close friends and family set-up by the little lake to watch them exchange vows, and had everyone surround them in the middle of the ceremony to pray over them and their new lives together. Right as they were finishing the ceremony, the sun started creeping down, so we were able to get some drool-worthy pictures of just the two of them! They had some awesome set-up’s brought in by the Funky Shack for their reception, and they turned a little open-air pavillion into a quaint little dance hall. She made one of her own garters to out-girl the other camo garter she got in Jacob’s honor (of course). She’s also a teacher and loves all things kids, so they included a little chalk table for them to play games on and also had little mad libs and other games on each of the tables. They even had a biscuit AND mashed potato bar with toppings galore to go along with their country cooked dinner set-up. After the food fest, everyone let their hair down and danced the night away. Which of course, didn’t hurt fighting off the cold! It was really an amazing story to be told, and it was an honor coming alongside of them to be a part of it. I’m so happy for these guys!

From the Bride… Our wedding was a classic, rustic affair full of southern charm. Better than any board I could have created or pin I could have pinned. The crisp November air and fall leaves made the lakeside ceremony and candle-lit reception the perfect setting to start our life together.

South Georgia Wedding from Something Pretty Photography

I’ve decided you need an entire weekend to take in all the sweetness that is this wedding from Something Pretty Photography. Because with a gallery this packed with pretty, you just might need every minute. Not only is this Georgia fête as darling as they come but it’s also overflowing with the type of charm you can’t help but gush over. And it’s all tied up with a new Mr. & Mrs. so in love you just want to squeeze them, and we couldn’t love that more. Check out all the lovely here.

From Something Pretty Photography… This was just a super charming wedding–I always love shooting outside, but it is always an extra pleasure when you get to shoot on land that is owned by someone in the family:) Danielle and Bryan got married on Bryan’s grandmother’s farm and it was just the loveliest day imaginable. It was southern to the core, and since food and music were at the top of their list, the spread was amazing filled with a whole roasted pig, biscuits, shrimp and pies! Also, the Bluegrass band was hands down the best one I have ever heard! Also, it doesn’t hurt to have their crazy cute dog, George walk down the aisle with them. It was such a laid back affair and I loved when they exited, all the guests and the band followed them down the path to their getaway car while fireworks went off!

Savannah Wedding at The Telfair Museum from Brooke Roberts Photography

We love seeing all the fabulous wedding traditions of other cultures here at SMP and this gorgeous Pakistani wedding is certainly no exception. Filled with bold, beautiful colors, amazing gold jewelry, and not to mention some seriously stunning henna, this wedding has us gasping at all its beauty. Brooke Roberts Photography captured all the festivities and you can see it all unfold right here in full gallery.

From Brooke Roberts Photography… Eva and Danny’s fusion wedding in Savannah Georgia was full of dramatic contrasts. A stunning Ismaili wedding full of bright colors and textures held inside an ultra contemporary modern art museum in one of the most well known historic cities of the south. In a city steeped with tradition, framed by classic southern architecture and spanish moss draped squares the Savannah Telfair Museum Jepson Center rises up in the middle of the city. It’s towering glass ceiling and stark white walls and floors was the perfect backdrop for this radiant wedding celebration.

Pakistani weddings are full of tradition and can last for many days. Eva and Danny’s wedding started with the henna decoration (Mehndi Ceremony) and the cleansing ceremony (Pithi Ceremony) the evening prior to the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was also filled with many rituals that included participation of their guests. Laughter filled the room as the bride and groom searched in a basket filled with rice to find a tiny coin that had been hidden. A female cousin of the groom wrapped the couple in shawls and tied the ends together until the best man was able to produce enough cash and she was satisfied to let the marriage proceed.

Eva wore a traditional Pakistani saree as did all of her bridesmaids. The brightly colored material was beautifully embroidered and paired with heavy gold jewelry. The Groom and groomsmen opted for more western inspired suits rather than the traditional sehra and turban.

The ceremony was held in the soaring three story atrium of the jepson Center framed with massive windows overlooking Telfair Square. After the ceremony, cocktails were served on the third floor outdoor sculpture terrace while the atrium was prepared for the reception. The rich aroma of curry filled the hall as a traditional feast was laid out for the guests to enjoy as the bride did a quick change for the new couple to be re-introduced.

Atlanta Wedding from Melissa Tuck Photography

Bow ties, pups and southern style never fail to leave me weak in the knees. They each have the ability to make me squeal, and when they are combined – watch out, I become giddy and then some. So forgive me if I just want to call up Melissa Tuck and thank her profusely for sending us this Georgia beauty. You will too after one look at this gallery of images, which just so happens to be adorable and filled to the brim with the (seriously fabulous) personalities of this darling duo. See even more here.

From Melissa Tuck PhotographyVictoria & Chris’s wedding took place at the Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia on September 28, 2012. It’s a great venue tucked away in the heart of Atlanta. Things that stand out in my mind from this wedding would be the overall style (vintage tablescapes – think lace, books, candles!, rockin’ suits from the gentlemen, classic navy from the ‘maids), the ADORABLE kids (complete with a teeny bow tie!), the couple’s pup was the ring bearer, and the “Man of Honor” instead of a ‘maid…love that

Newnan Wedding at Dunaway Gardens from This Is You Photography

There’s no mistaking that when you’re planning a DIY wedding, you need all the help you can get. This lucky bride just so happened to get tons of help from her artsy and crafty mom and together they created one fabulous day. From the doilie painted table clothes to the antique brooch bouquet, this wedding is a total original. This is You Photography captured it all perfectly. Click here for the full gallery.

From the Bride… After I got engaged the first thing my mom and I tried to nail down was the venue and the overall feel/look of the wedding. Heath and I love doing and being outside, so I had narrowed it down to an outdoor ceremony. We looked around the Newnan area and my mom had visited Dunaway Gardens and she was in love. I went out there as soon as I could and saw what she was talking about. It was beautiful and I knew that it was the spot.

I had always loved casual, rustic, antique decor used in weddings so now that we had the location the look was starting to develop. I was inspired by antique ball jars for centerpieces and wanted to use burlap since it was a great natural backdrop for just about anything. I didn’t use a wedding planner- my mom is a retired art teacher, so once I talked about what I wanted and showed her things I liked she ran with it. We spray painted doilies onto the table cloths, she scavenged antique shops for jars, made a moss P and you can see from the pictures the list goes on and on…. I owe her BIG! and more importantly I trusted her with anything she suggested she was making. One thing I did want was a brooch bouquet. Flowers wilt and die and I loved the idea that its something I could keep and remember the day. I also love the idea that if I have girls, I can give them one of the brooches off my bouquet. One of my favorite parts of the day was my dress…. after traveling and trying on who knows how many dresses I had narrowed it down to a 2 dresses but before I went back to try them on I had an appointment at New Natalies in Atlanta. I went and saw the bottom of my dress in a bag and said,” I like the lace, lets try this on.” I saved it for last, and when I saw myself in it, I knew.

For music, my mom really liked the idea of a string quartet playing and we asked Jacob Winslett, our praise band leader at our church, to do a solo. Jacob sang “Take My Life” by Chris Tomlin during the lighting of the unity candles. For the reception music we wanted to have variety and we thought a dj would be best for that. Lastly, another part I knew from the begining I wanted to include, was a paper lantern release. I had seen the tradition for couples to write love wishes on the lantern and then releasing it for it to come true. I think they are beautiful and thought it would be a cool thing to include.

Tybee Island Wedding from Tybee Island Wedding Chapel

There’s really nothing better than an entire weekend of festivities to celebrate your wedding. And this adorable couple got things started off in quite the unique way with a surprise murder-mystery rehearsal dinner. Talk about a fabulous way to break the ice and get everyone involved. TAKEN Photography captured all the beautiful details of this pretty destination wedding at Tybee Island Wedding ChapelBe sure to meet us in the gallery for more.

From Tybee Island Wedding Chapel… Courtney and Ryan planned their destination wedding for Tybee Island, Georgia. This amazing couple planned an entire weekend for their guests. The weekend began as the Rehearsal dinner was hosted on Tybee Island’s vintage 1960’s pier. The pier stretched out over the Atlantic ocean provided the back drop for the surprise murder-mystery dinner that the couple planned!

Courtney and Ryan’s wedding ceremony took place inside the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. As guests poured into the sanctuary, Courtney relaxed in the Bridal suite. The Bridal suite overlooks the entrance to The Chapel, were she eagerly watched her guests arrival. After the Ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. escaped to the Atlantic beach for some romantic photo opportunities. Meanwhile, their guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio of The Chapel. Guests were served hand passed hors d’oeuvres.

The reception dinner was served in the Chapel lounge by Paula Deen’s restaurant, Lady and Sons. After a few speeches and blessings, the guests were escorted back into the main sanctuary of the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. The sanctuary had been converted into the second part of the reception. The Wedding cake was a classic creation with a unique spin. The words airbrushed on the cake are the lyrics of the song “Crazy Love” by the band Pepper, and it is the song that Ryan proposed to Courtney to during a concert in Atlanta.  The design was created by TEKST Artist who worked with the couple and Tier Luxury Cakes when creating the picture.

Georgia Wedding from Nina Parker + George Street Photo & Video

I can’t help but fall in love with a bride who describes the day she gets to marry her man with so much gratitude, love + joyThis sweet Atlanta wedding took place at the beautiful Chastain Horse Park and was captured to perfection by Nina Parker + George Street Photo & Video.  Filled to the brim with lovely details and family traditions, you’ll be sure to spend some time perusing it all in the full gallery!

From the Bride… We were married at Smyrna First United Methodist Church and I couldn’t have prayed for a more beautiful church ceremony. We were surrounded by our closest friends and family, my father gave us his blessing and spoke during the ceremony, my groom was just as anxious as I was for our first (married) kiss, and I have never known such joy. It wasn’t just happiness that made me smile that day. It was pure, sweet love.

We had our wedding reception at Chastain Horse Park, a special event facility that also offers a therapeutic program through horse riding. Not only did the facility have the perfect Southern charm, but it gave back to those in need, which we loved. Guests were able to walk the grounds and enjoy the beautiful club house, quaint stables, and oh-so-entertaining equestrian ring right from the balconies. Watching the horses trot around as we sat through dinner was fun for the kids and adults!

My “something old” was my bouquet wrap, made from lace that my mom used as a veil cap when she was married and my grandmother before her used as a hat when she was married. I was so honored to carry on this bit of fabric that had seen the start of some of the most rock-solid marriages I’ve known. Taylor’s tie tack was made from an earring that his grandmother wore. Since she is no longer with us, this was a very special tribute to the closeness Taylor felt to her. In this way, she was able to share the day with us.

We wanted to have our wedding in Fall and embrace all of the colors of our favorite season. We chose to have the girls in floor-length aubergine chiffon dresses. The guys wore light grey tuxes with a deep, leafy-green vest and tie. Our flower girl wore an ivory dress with an aubergine bow and her “princess” shoes.

Savannah Golf Club Wedding from Morgan Gallo Events

If you are the middle of planning a wedding (or the beginning or the end for that matter), you know that even when you cross all your t’s and dot all those i’s – there will inevitably be bumps in the planning road. But if you are these two, you go with the flow and hire one dream team of vendors to make your day drop-dead beautiful. With Morgan Gallo Events not only taking care of those t’s and i’s but also making them beautiful, and Shannon Christopher snapping up every last bit – their gallery is proof that going with the flow has some pretty gorgeous results.

From the Bride… Mike and I decided to get married in Savannah since it was where he proposed, and we loved the idea of everything coming full circle. We originally planned our wedding for February 16, 2013; several vendors were already booked, and the save-the-dates were already printed. Then we received the wonderful news that my brother and sister-in-law were expecting their first baby. However, the doctor informed them the baby was due the exact date of our wedding! After a few hectic weeks, we were able to move the wedding up to December 8, 2012, and keep all the vendors we previously booked. I suggested we use our old save-the-dates as birth announcements. :)

Once our new date was finalized, we were so fortunate to have Morgan Gallo and her team to assist with vendor recommendations and planning. Our colors were gray and blush, and my eight bridesmaids all wore charcoal gray, full-length chiffon dresses, and they were able to pick out their own style. Harvey Designs did an amazing job with the floral arrangements. The bouquets and centerpieces were classic and elegant with a stunning mixture of white, blush and gray flowers. The ceremony and reception both took place at the Savannah Golf Club. My sister-in-law is a minister, and she was the officiant for our outdoor ceremony in the club’s picturesque courtyard. We wrote our own vows, and it was an incredibly meaningful, intimate and personal service. We were told afterwards there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The reception took place in the ballroom with stunning uplighting from JLK Events, with the colors changing throughout the night. Our guests were dance lovers, so our DJ, Jeff Brown from All About You Entertainment, kept the dance floor packed all night. Sadly, I am one of those rare people who never developed a sweet tooth. So when we were deciding on a cake, I wanted something that I would look forward to cutting and eating as well. After we selected our traditional wedding cake (the groom’s cake) from Baker’s Pride, I started to brainstorm about my bride’s cake.  I am a huge cheese enthusiast, so it was a no-brainer the type of cake I wanted.  I worked with the chef at the Savannah Golf Club, and he created my dream cake of tiered artisanal cheeses, served with fig compote and honey comb.

My favorite DIY projects were our table numbers and framed map. As an alternative to standard table numbers 1-12, we used specific years from 1986-2012 with pictures of us from each corresponding year. For example, Table 1986 had our baby pictures, Table 1993 included a picture of me in my stylish Beauty and the Beast crewneck sweatshirt, and Table 2012 had pictures from our engagement photo shoot. Additionally, we used a framed map of the United States and I created map pins with flags that included each guest’s name and table number. The pin was placed on the state where each guest traveled from, and it was a fun, nontraditional way to do escort cards. We ended the night with a memorable send-off with our guests showering us with dried lavender, and now I will always associate its fragrance with the happiest day of my life.

Young Harris Wedding from Karie Denny Photography

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I love Fall weddings.  And when it’s a Fall wedding chock-full of candles, twinkle lights, rustic details and a roaring fire?  I love it even more.  Which is why I am currently obsessing non-stop over this little gem of an affair captured beautifully by Karie Denny Photography.  It’s a crisp Autumn landscape meets one heartwarming detail after another meets the world’s cutest ever bride and groom.  Or as I like to call it, Fall perfection through and through.  See so much more right here.

From Karie Denny Photography… Scattered clouds and tall pines filled the skies at Brasstown Valley on November 12, 2012. We stepped out of our cabin, took a walk to the lodge and saw our bride, Elizabeth, getting ready. One of my favorite moments as a wedding photographer is seeing the bride for the first time on her wedding day. And Elizabeth was no different. She was in her “little bride” robe, cross legged, hands folded in her lap, twisting her engagement ring around her finger, while the hair stylist worked her magic. Across the lodge, Jamie, the groom was playing pool with his groomsmen. The excitement built as Jamie and Elizabeth had a private (but photographed) moment of prayer before their ceremony. They did not want to see one another before the ceremony, so we found a perfect spot for them to hold hands in prayer with one another. It was a teary/beautiful moment for all of us involved.

The location looked out onto a gorgeous display of Atlanta’s fall trees. It was the perfect backdrop for their rustic-chic affair. Flower arrangements of pink and white filled every space perfectly. The details were effortless, with twinkle lights in all the right places and a fireplace blazing. Candles and lanterns set the mood. As everyone said when they saw it, they said, “It is SOOOO Elizabeth.”

Little splashes of sunlight would peek through the clouds as the ceremony wrapped up. The light and sky could not have been better for pictures. The sky was on fire as the sun set on this couple’s afternoon. We were truly blessed to be a part of such an intimate affair.

Southern Wedding Shoot from Buffy Dekmar Photography

Buffy Dekmar Photography has done it again and this time she’s bringing us some seriously sophisticated inspiration in the form of traditional southern charm. Bold accents of crimson meld perfectly with the soft ivories and gold and make for the most amazing contrast to the beautifully landscaped English boxwoods. Click here for even more.

From Buffy Dekmar PhotographyThe inspiration for this dreamy shoot came from the grandeur of the southern estate we chose for the setting. The sophisticated, old-fashioned feeling of the English boxwood gardens blended perfectly with the creamy gray and ivory, as well as the bold crimson accents. The Monique Lhuillier gown worn by the brunette model, Lydia, is one of my favorite elements, along with the sweet accent pieces by Fine & Fleurie. I loved collaborating with each member of this exceptional team of professionals to inspire brides with a fresh new color palette!

Georgia Plantation Wedding from Harwell Photography

Tell me lovelies, could a land called Peachtree City really be as sweet as it sounds? With a name that scrumptious, no wonder this couple fell head-over-heels in love here one hot southern summer. To celebrate these Georgia peaches, locally grown vendors such as Harwell Photography and Belle of the Ball Events created a rustic masterpiece filled with fluffy cotton, yards of burlap, and all the lace trimmings you could possibly dream of. And you can see even more of this darling little slice of a wedding right here in the full gallery.

From the Bride… David and I met the summer before I started graduate school while in my hometown of Peachtree City. We had an instant connection, and he couldn’t have been more supportive while I spent two years getting my master’s degree. David proposed to me on stage at a local blues venue in front of all of my best friends, which was one of our favorite places to go in Atlanta. The entire night was so much fun and surprising! The first time I saw Vinewood, I instantly envisioned our special day there. Having grown up in the south riding horses, the gorgeous grounds and stables fit my personality to a tee. Working with all local vendors, we really wanted the wedding to feel special but comfortable. Vinewood provided an amazing setting for the type of wedding we saw ourselves having…including the southern menu, hay bales for benches, and gorgeous fall inspired decor! The details, that everyone went to great lengths to make happen, really made the day truly memberable and unique. Most importantly though, we had a blast! At the end of the day, what we will remember the most was not leaving the dance floor all night, celebrating with all our family and closest friends!

Pine Mountain Wedding from Morgan Trinker Photography

It’s no secret that we love a good, old fashioned Southern wedding. You know the kind that’s laid back, yet still stunning. Casual yet with a hint of elegance…this, my friends is it. Morgan Trinker Photography captured this super sweet couple as they said their I Do’s and danced the night away with their guests under the stars. See it all right here.

From Morgan Trinker Photography Laura and Bryant got married in the charming small town of Pine Mountain, Georgia. It’s the kind of place where, after we checked into our hotel the day before the wedding, we meandered into a local (and incredibly delicious) restaurant and just so happened to meet the florist for the wedding AND the owner of Sweet Home Plantation, the venue, while we were there. Of course they’re friends with each other, and we got to chat with them for quite awhile. It’s the kind of town where everyone knows everyone, friendly faces are everywhere, and no one ever appears to be in a rush or worried about anything.

That’s what made it the perfect spot for a couple like Laura and Bryant to tie the knot. Two of the most laid-back people you’ll ever meet, they wanted a no-fuss wedding with a fun party atmosphere, while also keeping the look and feel of it elegant and oh-so-Southern. After their Catholic church ceremony, guests headed to the plantation home, where they feasted on BBQ and all the “fixins” and danced well into the evening. One of my favorite parts of the day was when everyone sent Laura and Bryant off with sparklers, and they hopped into a gorgeous vintage Thunderbird to drive off. It was the perfect end to a wedding that simply oozed joy and charm.

Douglasville Wedding from Peach Blossom Photography by Julie Anne

Fact.  Soft pink hues and touches of fruit are a sure-fire combo for wedding greatness.  Especially when combined with a breathtaking Chattahoochee River backdrop and one of the greatest August days in Georgia weather history.  When all of those elements came together for this cute as can be duo, it meant a dream-come-true day of celebrating with family and friends and a whole lot of non-stop dancing.  See every last moment captured by Peach Blossom Photography by Julie Anne in the full gallery.  You’re going to love it.

From Lila of A Big To Do EventClaire and Scott’s outdoor wedding took place on the most perfect August day that Georgia has ever seen! Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club created the gorgeous backdrop for the outdoor ceremony before guests went inside Legacy Lodge to celebrate! The view of the Chattahoochee River was breathtaking. The bride chose to keep the colors light and airy by using ivory and pink, and she brought in a pop of contrast with green apples. Perfect for a summer day!

The wedding guests had such fun energy and had the dance floor completely packed! The DJ played exactly to the feeling of the crowd, and since the bride and many of the guests were professional ballerinas, they were more than happy to show off some of their moves. After the bride changed into her getaway dress, the couple left through a cloud of bubbles to honeymoon in the Bahamas!
