It was important to us to represent our cultures (Jewish and Filipino/Irish) in a non-denominational ceremony. Daniel’s father created our chuppah from green bamboo and my mother sewed the fabric for the canopy.
I heart today's real wedding. Mainly because it's one of the rare NYC loft weddings that we've featured on Style Me Pretty, but also because it's the perfect combination of traditional and modern, elegant and fun. Plus, it was photographed by the fabulous Karen Wise, who is a favorite of ours.

What I liked best about the wedding was our ability to bring together different aspects of our life that, on the surface, don't go together. The vendors (and of course my parents) made it possible for us to juxtapose city and country, formal and personal, classic and modern. Together, we were able to create a rustic luxe feel that was really unique.
