A themed wedding. It's one of those ideas that leaves me nervous and fearing the worst. And yet, time and time again I am totally proven wrong. And not just proven wrong, I have fallen totally and completely in love with more than one themed wedding on more than one occasion. So, when I saw this little number, I knew I had to share. And of course, leave it to Amorology to turn a Science themed wedding into something...

I remember spending hours as a little girl wondering what my last name would be when I eventually met my prince charming (please tell me I wasn't the only one). Well I must say, the lovely bride of this adorable wedding got lucky. Not only is her new last name Chick awesome, it also made for a absolutely perfect wedding theme. I am a complete sucker for wedding themes, particularly when they are executed with such personality. Thanks to...
Everyday I get to admire beautiful weddings, details, and fashions, but I love that I also I get to discover amazing new designers. Today is one of those days my friends, we're welcoming our newest addition to our Fashion Look Book, the extraordinarily talented Joan Shum. We've known about her adorable frocks for awhile and if you haven't...
There are sooooo many beautiful things about today's featured wedding. Not really sure where to start! Sent to us by California Event Planner, Melissa Panico of MAP Events, Kara and Chris' winter wedding was just an enormous array of pretty!! And as usual, I have to start with the killer shoes ...

It's Bridal Fashion week in New York and we are SO on it. One of our favorite photographers, Matthew Grazier, is snapping pictures as we speak and we'll have the full recap for you later in the week. BUT, to get the excitement a-brewin' we thought we'd share the latest (as in just released yesterday) collection by Modern Trousseau. A design house that we are completely...
*sigh* Another perfect finish to another pretty week. Fortunately for all of us we can peruse through all the loveliness again and again. I for one am ready to plan a little springtime soiree just to use some of the adorable ideas I've seen this week. At the very least I'm going to put some fresh flowers on the dining room table and pretend they look...
My favorite part of these inspiration shoots is knowing that the ideas that look so beautiful in the photographs, are actually REAL steal-able inspirations that you can incorporate into your own wedding. Even if you can't set up pretty picnic tables outside, you can still collect vintage vases and fill them with pretty Spring hues. Even if you aren't sure if the sun will be shining on your big day, you can still bring in elements you love and use them in unconventional ways to make your day...
I am a city girl at heart but there is something about the country that is so calming, so comforting, it has me considering packing up and spending the rest of my days sipping lemonade on the porch overlooking flowery fields. That something might be the sheer gorgeousness of this lovely wedding sent by ultra fab Little Black Book photographer, Jenna Walker. The mountains of Colorado proved to be a breathtaking back drop for...
I hope that you guys have fallen as in love with our Inspiration Shoots as I have and are able to see the incredible ideas for your own wedding tucked inside each and every detail. Going into this shoot, I knew that it was going to be amazing. With Beth Helmstetter at the wheel...
There is no better way to welcome in Spring than with this insanely gorgeous From Inspiration to Reality shoot crafted by some of my all time favorite vendors including the fabulous Beth Helmstetter, florals by the oh-so-talented Holly Flora...
So (in case you can't tell) we're pretty excited that spring is finally here. Sunshine, flowers, birds chirping, warm air, open toed shoes... everything about it has us feeling, well, a little twitterpated. But when our latest team of vendors sent us the photos from their From Inspiration to Reality shoot we needed to pinch ourselves to make sure it wasn't really February and we were...
Horses, sheep, and a dog were all part of the festivities at Jade and Gordon's Sweetwater Farms wedding and oh how sweet it was. The couple took rustic charm to a whole new level with pretty shades of pink at every turn and comfort food galore. I hear that a make your own fixins hamburger station was part of the line up {YUM!} Heather Fowler did a fantabulous job of capturing all of the lovely details from this down home affair.
I happen to be a HUGE fan of backyard weddings - they have such an intimate nature to them that always gives me those warm fuzzies! (Granted, you and your family will be left with hundreds of tiny stiletto punctures in your lawn, but what a small price to pay, wouldn't you agree?) And although I've never met this featured couple, photographed by Gia Canali, I believe I'd adore them; those inflatable swans, alone, likely speak volumes...
Over the last few weeks, we've been slowly introducing a few fabulous new voices to our blog with the hopes that each blogger will bring you a new and excited perspective in wedding design. Well, I'm thrilled to tell you that our latest stylista is none other than Alison of The Knotty Bride!

Hello, everyone! My name is Alison, and I'm beyond excited - beyond - to start bringing you the pretty here on SMP. ...
Ohhh Mexico, your beaches sound simply divine right about now. You know what else is divine – why this little nugget of goodness from Sabine Scherer of course. For some reason, I am completely obsessed with lace dresses on sandy beaches and this bride rocks it ever so beautifully. Get ready kiddos because this pretty parade is about to get started and you might be yearning for margaritas and yummy tacos when all is said and done.
I am absolutely smitten over the details of this next feature sent to us by the beyond talented Tanja Lippert. With jewel-toned pops of color bursting from every corner, these images literally had me gasping out loud. Oh and the crazy gorgeous flowers ... Blooms by Martha Andrews was the mastermind behind those beauties. You are in luck today because this...
There is something so dreamy about this next photoshoot that Ashley Baber, Holly Chapple and a few other stellar vendors put together. The purple hues, the vintage accent pieces, the rustic but gorgeous backdrop. It all comes together in a way that is elegant without being pretentious, chic without being overdone. But more than anything, it's the insanely beautiful...
After yesterday's Real Wedding craziness, I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit and kick off the day with an absolutely darling e-session and a photoshoot that is all gorgeous. First up, the so stinking cute e-session, photographed by Tamar Levine. Held in Tamar's own backyard, it's a little bit vintage, a little bit artsy, a little bit lovely. And I heart it big time

Once, not too long ago, while I was visiting Abby, she returned from speaking at a bridal event in the area with a big beautiful bouquet in her hands. One of the floral designers hosting the event had sent it home with her. I had forgotten just how heavy a bouquet can be! We share images of gorgeous bouquets daily on SMP, but the experience of holding one is quite rare indeed. I thought, how sad is that? Something so extraordinarily beautiful ~ is sometimes a once in a lifetime thing. And...
Well we just might have saved the best wedding for last. Although with so many different styles and design approaches, it would be next to impossible to choose a winner from today's Real Wedding extravaganza. Photographed by Lauri Levenfeld of the beloved Zoom Photography in San Francisco, this wedding is TOTAL romance. And the flowers, TOTAL gorgeousness. And the bride, TOTAL beauty. All in all, it's beyond.
