The Nichols never cease to amaze me with their portfolio of crazy gorgeous weddings and honestly, they always manage to shoot the COOLEST couples with picture perfect style and the dreamiest of details. But this Austin wedding literally stopped me dead in my tracks as soon as I spotted the Bride and her lovely red lipstick. She is a total knock-out and the wedding? Beautiful vintage details and over the top romance all styled beautifully by BZ Events. We have a feeling you are totally going to DIE for this wedding, book mark it and pore over it time and again and maybe even head over to Sephora and snag some red lipstick of your very own. Don’t worry, there are even more images to devour in the gallery.

When Riley and I first started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something small and intimate. We wanted it to feel like a really special dinner party, as opposed to a typical wedding. The image that instantly came to mind was a garden party in 1950′s France. So I set out to bring that image to life. Through my research, I stumbled upon this very site- and it was so inspiring! I found that there were so many other couples out there who were like us- who wanted to be creative but simple, fun yet elegant, and so much more. After looking through the wedding photos, I had so many ideas I barely knew what to do with myself!
I was traveling a lot throughout the planning phase, and I slowly started collecting items that fit our vision. I spent many weekends at antique stores, with particular focus on handkerchiefs, post cards, and tea cups. I even found my veil at a little thrift shop- from the ’50s and in perfect condition! The wonderful people at Kid Icarus in Toronto, Canada made us custom screen printed invitations using the handkerchiefs and post cards I collected. They were so perfect! We had the idea early on to give tea cup and saucer sets to our guests as favors. Everyone loved them and they looked lovely on the tables. Plus, I like the extra personal touch of picking a few up in every city Riley and I traveled to.
Our vendors were all absolutely incredible. Chateau Bellevue is a breathtakingly beautiful historic building in downtown Austin, and it really felt like we were able to have a bit of France in Texas. The food was delicious, and the service could not have gone more smoothly. Our flowers were done by Amy Bodle at Merveille Events and she was so amazing. She truly captured the spirit I was hoping for. As soon as I told her what I had in mind, she just got it. And on top of that, she’s an absolute sweetheart. For our cake, we sent Krissy at Krissy’s Cakes a few photos for inspiration and she knocked it out of the park! We probably couldn’t have made it though the last couple weeks leading up to the wedding without Becky Brock from BZ Events. She was so on top of it- it’s really due to her that our wedding turned out to be the dream day that it was. She allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves and the company of all the people we love. And last but not least, Jennifer and CJ Nichols were our fantastic photographers. It makes us so unbelievably happy to look at these photos and see our big day reflected in such a beautiful way. They are so lovely to work with and it’s pretty easy to see how wonderfully talented they are. Our wedding truly was the best day of both of our lives. The entire day felt like a dream. We can’t thank our vendors enough, as well as our amazing guests who laughed and cried with us and made it an experience we’ll never forget.

I am in love with her dress and detachable skirt! Does anyone know who it's by? I'm thinking it may be custom.
This wedding is simply gorgeous! It is so very French and all the more special for it. The bride looks like Audrey Hepburn or Audrey Tautou! Absolutely beautiful. Her dress, bouquet, hair makeup, and veil are all perfection.
Gorgeous wedding! I thought her face was familiar and turns out she is an actress, I saw her in Scott Pilgrim.
the dress is stunning
Wow! What a charming wedding. That bride is an absolute doll!

The beautiful dress is by Monique Lhuilier :)
I can't believe this is a real wedding, I completely thought it was an inspiration shoot until I saw the bride's comments at the end. I LOVE the brides dress, illusion necklines are so stunning and I am so happy they are back!
Best accessory ever - i love the red lips! Simply stunning.
I adore this wedding! I would love to know where the bride's veil came from, as well as the bridesmaid dresses (vintage?). Love it!
Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous. I am IN LOVE with the colors!
Oh soooooo vintagely DEVINE!
Any tips on where the bridesmaids dresses are from?? I am having such a hard time finding a dress I like that comes in the color I'm looking for...dusty rose.
GORGEOUS! Wow....my mouth hung open the whole time. Amazingly beautiful!

All the bridesmaids dresses were vintage finds....I knew I wanted pale fall colors and 50's silhouettes. Etsy was my friend!! And I forgot to mention what was possibly my favorite part of the wedding! My dress! It is the Grace dress by Monique Lhuilier and it was perfect. Exactly what I envisioned.
What a perfectly styled bride. Like she walked right out of an Audrey Hepburn movie. That dress is gorgeous! Also, love the milk glass. Just beautiful.
what a gorgeous venue! and I agree, the bride makes a great case for red lipstick. wonderful work, as always Jenn and CJ - your style is perfect for the couple's aesthetic!
I think I died and went to heaven!! Love the color palette and all the beautiful vintage details. Oh, and a timelessly beautiful bride!! Bananas!!!

So glad to hear this bride is an actress/model. Because if she was an ordinary civilian I would pretty much have to give up now.
Totally knocked it out of the park, BZ Events!! Just stunning work from all of the vendors and artists. Congratulations!
Mary and Riley were a total dream to work with! How lucky were we to be able to document this gorgeous wedding?!?
DANG. Beautifully minimal in the best way... I fall hard for other 50s loving' gals! I am soooo looking forward to our own wedding, I ain't a movie star but Jen is GOOD, guys. The bomb dot com.
And I love Mary's lipstick, my current dilemma is: I love pink AND red, it's a late 50s/early 60s style wedding..yet edgy... Can I have pink nails and red lips//vice versa?? Too bold?
Wow. Very beautiful couples. The COOLEST couples with perfect style. The handkerchiefs, post cards, and tea cups are also very attractive. This wedding having a lot of luxury goods. I am very happy to see this blog.
Not sure I've seen a more beautiful bride... wow. Stunning!
Mary looks STUNNING, gorgeous, beautiful. The wedding photos are all to die for. I've never seen such beautiful wedding photos! Love the vintage feel and the bride and groom are the definition of adorable! :)

WOW! Stunning Bride. I'm in love with EVERY little bit of this wedding. I want to redo my wedding now with all of her inspiration. Beautifully done!
WOW. I was going through the pictures, and I caught the slightest familiar smile in one of the photos... a smile that looked awfully like an actress I really liked. I just so happened to watch Scott Pilgrim a few weeks ago-- Mary Elizabeth Winstead is even more beautiful here than in the movie! (And I really, really adore the movie.) Lovely details!
