Real Wedding by Allyson Magda Photography, I

Along with Theresa, we also have another completely fabulous writer working behind the scenes on our Little Black Book Blog…readers, meet Eddye! Eddye has planned some of the most beautiful weddings you’ve ever seen…my two older sisters and my own! Yep, you guessed it…she’s my mom. She just happens to be one of the best writers I know, and since she’s been my “editor” since the 6th grade, I figured it was about time she got a little recognition. Without further ado…

Military Wedding by Myrtle and Marjoram

In honor of Veterans Day and of all of our troops that are fighting abroad, I wanted to share a few Military Inspired weddings with you. The first, sent to me by the ever talented Myrtle and Marjoram, is so beautifully done, with the gorgeous groom in uniform, the lovely bride and the incredibly perfect details…

To me, this wedding is as close to perfect as it gets. The pretty, feminine colors paired next the the strength of a man in uniform…it just doesn’t get any better. More to come!

Kristina and Andrei’s Chic Soiree, IV

This last set of photos, sent to me by our Little Black Book member Suzi, of Q Weddings, is definitely my favorite. I absolutely adore the fruit and flower combinations used in this reception. So chic. And that cake, well…I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

Everything about this wedding is just so vibrant, so vivid. I’m raving, I know, but the colors are really so great! Plus, the cake by Fantasy Frostings looks incredible, with the orange accents and the simple but sophisticated design. What a stunning wedding!

The bride and groom created a really lush reception, incorporating both incredible floral arrangements and fresh fruits, giving this wedding style a totally lavish feel without going over the top. Take a peek…

This color palette is incredibly charming. I love the deep fall reds and browns mixed with the peaches and greens. The flower arrangements by Silver Birches are stunning, I think there is a great balance of nature and luxury in this centerpieces. Still more to come from this elegant reception, stay tuned!

Kristina and Andrei’s Chic Soiree, II

Not that chic is the only word to describe this wedding sent to us by Suzi Q. Varin of Q Weddings, but it is the one that resonates with me the most. Take a peek at this second set of Kristina and Andrei’s gorgeous wedding. Actually, Kristina’s mother, Martha, lived in this neighborhood, and always wished to lived in this particular house. Years later her wish came true and she not only lived there, but her daughter was married there as well, how sweet is that?

Tomorrow, we are launching our newest addition to Style Me Pretty that is going to literally have you jumping for joy…well, maybe not jumping as people would definitely look at you strangely, but incredibly happy nonetheless! Until then!

Here are a few more gorgeous pictures from today’s featured wedding!

all photos by Angelica Glass

I thought that we could do a “look for less” feature on this wedding, as I really think that the gorgeous style could be pulled off on a variety of budgets!

First off, the beakers and other containers…

-I found these adorable chemistry inspired vases at CB2 that range in price from $2.50 to $7.50. They would look adorable lined up on a table, varying in heights and sizes, with single stemmed flowers.

Real Wedding by James Abel, II

I wanted to share more pictures from today’s James Abel designed wedding! How cute is this…the bride, loved feathers and all things glittery, the groom loves test tubes and beakers as he is getting his PhD in Microbiology. James took their two loves and came up with this…

James never fails to surprise me. Each and every event that he crafts is totally unique…capturing the couple’s personalities to perfection. All of the stunning photos were captured by Angelica Glass Photography…and we have so many more on the way!

Real Wedding by James Abel

One of my very favorite wedding planners, James Abel (and the word wedding planner doesn’t remotely do him justice as he does the most incredible flowers, event design and so much more) sent me this insanely creative wedding that I have been dying to share with you!

Aside from the ridiculously gorgeous couple, this wedding is filled with the most unique details that capture the couple’s personality to perfection…think pretty pink flowers and chemistry test tubes. Crazy, I know. But, they completely pull it off and it just happens to be one of the prettiest weddings I’ve seen in a long time. Stay tuned!

Real Wedding, V

And as the amazing garden party tuned to evening, the entire wedding got even more beautiful…

From Fiona, the lovely bride…

On each table there was a pink wine glass with a small paper butterfly perched on the glass as the name card to again tie in with the garden party style of the day. I had bought lots of pink painted tea glasses from a recent trip to Marrakech (they were so cheap, I think I got them for about 20 pence each (about 40 cents) I think and they looked like they cost so much more!) and these were used to decorate the table. We had candelabras as the centre pieces and these were filled with roses, hydrangeas and ivory. At the entrance to the marquee we also scattered rose petals and lavender so the smell when everyone walked in was amazing!

Now for the details…from the color palette to the perfectly simple touches, everything about this wedding was so lovely, so thoughtfully sophisticated.

From the bride, Fiona…

The pink theme ran through the day – bridesmaids dresses, flowers, ushers ties, wine glasses, pink lemonade, pink champagne, pink ribbon to tie the order of service together, rose petals etc. The favours were small packs of mints that had ‘mint to be’ written on them in pink along with our names. I actually got them from the For Your Party website in the States.

Real Wedding, III

Okay, today’s earlier pictures were pretty…but it’s this incredible party, in a beautifully British garden-style wedding, that I am really loving!

From the bride…

All I really wanted from my wedding was a fantastic party with all of my friends and family around me. I hate formality so wanted a very relaxed affair (we used a photos journalist for our pictures so we didn’t have to worry about posing for shots) but I wanted it to be really stylish too! I decide on pink as my colour scheme as Tom and I both love the colour and instead of giving myself loads of stress trying to match everything to one shade of pink I decide to go for all different shades of the colour, which actually ended up working really well.
