Could we get much cuter than this Fort George Island wedding by Kristen Weaver Photography? I am way passed the appropriate giddy level over those sweet-as-can-be centerpieces. I love the cotton-filled mason jars paired with those gorgeous anemones and peonies and, of course, the pears! A true Southern soiree filled with buckets of charm. The full gallery is even more packed with sweet DIY delights so head on over there right away!

From Kristen Weaver… When Alex first contacted me I remembered thinking how excited I was to shoot her wedding. She has a great sense of rustic Southern style, and I knew she would bring her A-game to her own wedding details! After meeting Alex and her fiance (now husband), Chris, for their November engagement session in a south-Georgia cotton field, I was giddy after hearing about her spectacular wedding plans. The epitome of a DIY’er, Alex brought her details to life by incorporating some of her favorite things – cotton, mason jars, sweet pink flowers and Cracker Barrel! Alex had been detailing her weight loss journey to a Facebook following of nearly 12,000 fans, and when she lost her goal weight, she ditched her original gown and opted for a Martina Liana stunner from Love, A Bridal Boutique in Jacksonville, FL.
Alex and Chris married under a gorgeous “wedding tree” at The Ribault Club on Fort George Island. Replicating an old Southern plantation feel, swallowed by Spanish Moss and covered by a canopy of oak-trees, guests were treated to a heart-felt ceremony complete with a dedication to Chris’ late best friend. Marrying on April Fool’s Day might be a bad omen for some – but Chris and Alex’s fun-loving personality and ready-to-party friends made the perfect combination for an amazing event! We celebrated the reception party with their own Goof Booth so guests could leave their mark on this beautiful day for Alex and Chris!
