Brooklyn Wedding by Weddings by Two + Bespoke Affairs

February 24th. 2011 by A. Blaire | Filed Under | 26 comments

This has to be one of my most favorite ceremony locations in a very long time. I mean, what screams romance more than being surrounded by stories at the Othmer Library in Brooklyn? Infused with Brooklyn style and the fun personalities of this dynamic duo, this fantastic celebration shot by Wedding by Two and planned by Bespoke Affairs captures all that is fabulous about the beautiful borough. It will take more than a New York City minute to soak it all in, so do yourself a favor today and set aside some time to dive into the full gallery.

From Bespoke Affairs…Such a fun wedding to work on! The couple are adorable Brooklynites, so every aspect of the wedding was infused with a little bit of brooklyn flair. The ceremony was held in the stunning Othmer Library at the Brooklyn Historical Society. The groom’s father who is a Judge in Brooklyn officiated. Bride works for Temptu, so I knew the makeup styling would be perfection!

After the ceremony guests were transported to the Brooklyn Waterfront for the reception at Bubby’s Pie Co in Dumbo. They’re wedding day was also the same day as the Dumbo Arts Festival. There was street vendors, clowns and tons of onlookers. Such fun energy surrounding the day. Even when a little kid dropped an entire chocolate ice cream cone down the back of the brides ML dress, everyone keep smiling. Thank goodness I had my emergency kit on hand and fixed the dress in no time! Poppies and Posies did a stellar job with the floral design and all of the props as you can see! Weddings by Two…INSANELY TALENTED! Laura bring vintage cameras with her as well to capture the day.

So adorable. Love everything! Kind of random question - I LOVe the groom's shoes. Where are they from? My hubby to be wants to wear his cons to our wedding and these seem like a dressier version.. Thanks, gorgeous day!

This is simply amazing. I cannot get over the setting - a library?! How spectacular, so creative! I know a lot of book-loving brides that would love to do this kind of thing.

Hi everyone and thank you for all the sweet comments about our wedding! It was a truly amazing day and we got to work with the most fabulous vendors to make it all happen so beautifully and seamlessly - thank you Adrian, Laura, Joe, Sierra and Juliet - could not have done it without you guys! So much fun to relive all the happiness here on StyleMePretty!
Dorigen - the grooms shoes are Sperry topsiders (hightop version) and were purchased at Nordstrom. Both the groom and groomsmen loved wearing them all day long and beyond- highly recommended!

I was so thrilled to come across this beautiful wedding today because I'm getting married in the exact same location and having my reception at Bubby's! I had only seen one other wedding done in the Othmer Library and it's great to see how someone else used the space. Bubby's is, of course, famous for their weddings--Regina, yours was beautiful and looks like it was amazingly fun!

Congrats to a fellow Brooklyn Bride!
