Right before the Christmas holidays, we received a submission from one of our newest Little Black Book floral designers based in Washington DC and Virginia. She and a team of her favorite wedding vendors in the area had just finished up a Winter Wedding Inspiration Shoot and she asked if we would like to feature it. Long story short, we are tickled to pieces to finally be able to bring you the Winter Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot from Holly Heider Chapple Flowers with photography courtesy of Genevieve Leiper and hair and makeup by Victoria Stiles.

Inspiration Shoot Number One …
The Season: WINTER
The Color Palette: WHITE with natural, earthy elements
The Setting:The Stone Manor Country Club
Inspiration: Love of classical music by bride and groom
The Bride: We’ll call her Alexis. She has been a music-lover as long as she can remember. She’s marrying the man of her dreams ~ also an accomplished musician! They don’t like things to be matchy-matchy. They don’t want a wedding ”theme” … but they want to infuse their love of music into the day. They would also love to DIY a lot of their own wedding ‘details’. They’ll leave the serious stuff to the professionals. They had a little over a year to pull it together. They love their life now … and plan to … forever …

They decide to throw in as many simple classic instruments into the decor as they can ~ conversation pieces and the common thread that they both share. Alexis plays the cello. Has since 7th grade. Only appropriate that it be by her side during some of the portraits!

Alexis has chosen a gown with the help of the lovely staff at Hitched Bridal Salon. The gown is by Amsale ~ of course! “Callista” A tulle gown with a full skirt, draped silk satin bodice, and grosgrain ribbon at the waist. Alexis never felt more beautiful in her life than at this moment. { see Callista in SMP’s LOOK BOOK}
And though she knew she shouldn’t ~ before everything was to start ~ she just HAD to take a quick peek at her wedding reception … just to be sure …

It was PERFECT. Everything she had hoped for and more! Simple, chic, elegant, perfect. Alexis was ready to begin THE DAY…

Holly has two more Winter Wedding Shoots at the same venue ~ The Stone Manor Country Club. We will be bringing these to you in just a bit. Each will be featured in their own posts, because we’d really like your input on each one of them.

Oh my.... that cake!!
That cake is the best. Love the bells.
Any idea where the necklace is from? I've been SEARCHING for something like that!
Yes, I'm with Gina....where is that necklace from?? It's perfect!
Hi Gina and Brittany-- glad you love the necklace! It is a laureate necklace by Erin Cole (www.erincole.com), and we carry that particular one at Hitched. The website also lists their other retailers. Thanks!
As a "real" cello-playing bride, I was especially tickled to find this entry on SMP! Even though my fiance only "plays" the radio...music is a huge part of our life and I am now inspired to include my cello in a few of our pics.
Another note on the necklaces-- the one with the bride facing the mirror is the one I commented about before, and realized that the strands of pearls might be the one that you ladies were referring to! That one is actually made by a local designer and is available by contacting Hitched: info@hitchedsalon.com. Hope that helps!
My wedding was a great deal like this one {but real!} I can't wait to send it to you soon!!!
Love the cello photograph. Beautiful.
Wow - beautiful Pictures! Thanks for sharing them to us!
Would like to put some of these pics on my site www.frankie.cc... let me know if you agree. Cheers Frankie
Oh my god, these pics are so excellent. Wish also in our area would be also a professional photographer like you. Compliments!
