Romantic New Orleans Wedding Filled with Old World Charm

When it comes to modern glamour the results are guaranteed to be OMG-Gorgeous, but add in a beautiful Bride and her handsome groom? Well, it’s almost too good to be true. Stunning in every sense of the word, this perfect pair wed surrounded by wild bougainvillea, sparkling chandeliers, and endless love while Megan W Photography captured every single second of it, right here!

From the beautiful Bride… Since the venue already has so much old world charm and many eclectic treasures I didn’t want to takeaway from it’s natural beauty, but I also didn’t want to blend in by using anything rustic. In general, I’ve always loved the juxtaposition of old and new so this was what I was trying to create. A clean, modern look that was set in a weathered, antique space.

For the flower colors I was inspired by the bougainvilleas growing on the property. Growing up in Florida my mother and grandmother always grew these in a variety of colors and they are naturally just amazing.

Of all the decisions I struggled with the bridesmaids dresses the most and I think they turned out as one the best. I wanted them to feel great and reflect (literally) FUN, which is what we feel about NOLA. I tried on a million dresses for each of them, sent them pictures and they got to pick their favorite. This one was the clear winner!

My other favorite part (from a design perspective) was the linens and candles. Both of those vendors were so great to work with and the chandelier was awesome and achieved exactly what I wanted of old and new. I wish I could have enjoyed it more that night

Vintage Chic New Orleans Wedding at Race & Religious

I am aching to visit New Orleans and this wedding right here (and this stylish bride) captures why I’m so obsessed. Moody and romantic, rich in history and always ready to party, this wedding, like its host city, is full of personality. Anne-Claire Brun‘s photos are spilling over with this eclectic energy and until I’m able to escape to the Big Easy for a weekend, her pics are where I shall remain.

From Anne-Claire Brun… First, did you know that when you get married in New Orleans, they have this thing called “Second Line” at the end of it? It consists in having your entire wedding party and a band (a brass band) going out of the venue and around the block (so it’s basically a parade.) The bride and groom twirl an umbrella and a handkerchief in the air… And all the guests dancing and laughing while people walking by wave and congratulate the bride and groom…

The venue Race and Religious was incredible, so much character! And the girls (Brooke especially) from Southern Charm Weddings in Louisiana did a wonderful job.

I’m in love with the soft palette of colors for this wedding!

From the Bride… Nick and I met through mutual friends in the summer of 2002. I was 15 and had just finished my freshman year of high school and Nick had had just turned 18 and just graduated high school. We became friends and then started dating, although neither of our parents were thrilled at the time given the age difference. Little did we know then, that we would one day be engaged and getting married. We went our separate ways for a while in our early 20s, but always stayed in contact with one another and eventually moved in together in 2011.

One day, we were in California visiting my little brother who was doing an internship in LA. We decided to take a road trip up the coast along Route 1 to San Francisco and Napa Valley with a stop in Big Sur. We got to Big Sur just before sunset and Nick pulled to one of the viewpoints on the side of the road so that we could watch the sunset among the cliff. We could hear seals barking down below and the surroundings were just breathtakingly beautiful. I started to complain about it getting cold and wanting to head to our hotel for the night…that’s when Nick asked me to marry him (a few minutes earlier than planned, due to my whining…which I do regret now)!

For the planning process, we were lucky we had a great wedding coordinator, Brooke Casey of Southern Charm Weddings Louisiana, to help us. She made the planning process seem as seamless as possible. She also kept us on track with a timeline and reminded us of things we didn’t even think of that are in fact integral parts of the wedding planning process.

We had a destination wedding which we thought would make things easier, but wedding planning is never really easy as we now know. The fact that we did have a smaller list of attending guests did make some of the wedding planning tasks easier than if we had done a bigger ceremony and reception.

We went with a romantic, vintage New Orleans traditional theme. We really took the vibes of our venue, Race and Religious, as our inspiration. There is so much character to the venue that we decided it was best to let our wedding take cues from the venue’s eclectic charm rather than the other way around. I couldn’t have imagined a better backdrop for our day.

There were so many of my favorite moments that day it’s hard to say which one was best….

Having all my best girlfriends by my side keeping me from being a nervous wreck while getting ready was one… When Nick first saw me when I met him down the aisle… When we snuck away to a corner for private moment to just enjoy each other and eat some food… The father-daughter dance with my dad when he told me the emotional meaning for him behind the song we had picked , “In My Life” by The Beatles… Seeing all my closest friends and family having as amazing a night as we were, and last but not least, the Second Line band!

My advice for couples would be don’t stress the small stuff. Things will go wrong, they always do, but those are the things you won’t even remember the day of or they will be the things that make for a great story later on.

Also, don’t let anyone’s opinions or input influence what you want for your day. Always stick to your guns and initial ideas. At the end of the day, it should be you and your bride and groom’s personalities that shine through, no one else’s. And most importantly, at the reception, don’t forget to eat!

Louisiana At Home Engagement Session

First off, would you believe me if I told you this love sesh was set at the couple’s home? Yes. This is their gorgeous backyard, and if I’m being honest, I’m completely jellin’. At-home engagements always seem to have a relaxed feel about them, which makes me love them even more. Plus, when you have Greer G Photography behind the lens—the captures are sure to be jaw-dropping.

From the beautiful Bride-to-be… Lee and I met in college through mutual friends and were engaged 7 years later. When we started planning our wedding, I immediately fell in love with Greer’s work and knew her talents would capture our personalities and the elegant simple look we were going for. We had several locations in mind to choose from, but we decided to have the session at our home where the sunlight was perfect that day. Being at home made us feel more relaxed and authentic in front of the camera. We were so happy to work with Greer and are looking forward to her capturing our wedding day!

Nautical Elegance Wedding Inspiration

Real life isn’t perfect, things don’t always go as planned. But this shoot, captured by Graham Terhune, took lemons and made pitchers of lemonade. When bad weather hit, this shoot had to be rescheduled and squeezed in before flights departed from New Orleans, but with the talents of Sapphire Events, Wildflower Linens and Kim Starr Wise, the finished product is nothing but extraordinary. May these gorgeous pics be an example of never letting a little rain ruin the promise of pretty.

From Sapphire Events… The Anchored in Love photo shoot is a collection of images that we hope tells the story of a North Carolina girl who fell in love with a New Orleans gent. Their love story is simple and sweet, and their wedding is about their steadfast commitment to one another. On the day of the styled shoot, the sun was shining and the sky was clear until it was time to begin the photographs. At the exact moment we planned to begin shooting, the rain began to pour along with thunder and lightening. Although we were completely devastated (because we were scheduled to fly home from New Orleans the next morning) our team looked at one another and decided to make the best of our situation. We were able to take the portraits of our bride and groom along with the bridal party despite the spurts of sideways rain and we were able to schedule a reshoot of the details the next morning before our 10:30 am flight out of NOLA. As we drove to the airport, completely exhausted and slightly heartbroken, we couldn’t help but think of the beauty of our theme that enveloped our crazy circumstances. We were able to rearrange a few details in order to photograph the beautiful details created by Valerie; however, on actual wedding days, these arrangements are not to be altered. As we reflected on this during our drive to the airport we thought of the importance of anchors and how strong anchors are what make durable marriages. While the beauty that surrounds southern weddings is what we often think of their defining characteristic, during our photo shoot we realized that the beauty of southern weddings lies within the family traditions, the authentic details, the loyalty of friendships and most importantly the rock of solid relationships. Wedding days are beautiful and they mark the first day of the most important journey we embark on in this life and we are grateful for the reminder that it is the anchor of genuine love that holds us all together – rain or shine.

Beauty Must-Haves with Ashley Sievert

Coming from a girl who rarely wears more than a dash of coverup and a touch of lip gloss, I can certainly take all the help I can get in the beauty department because what works for a day at the computer or wrangling babies does not equal cute going out face. We’re leaving it to the experts, i.e. Ashley Sievert, a New Orleans based makeup artist who is spilling the beans on her go-to’s. See even more captured by Marissa Lambert right here.

From Marissa Lambert… I was absolutely thrilled when Ashley Sievert contacted me to photograph her and her amazing products! She is well known as one of the best makeup artist in New Orleans. This shoot was mostly for fun, but also to showcase her new tee that reads, “Natural Took Me All Morning.” I’m sure a lot of women can relate to that statement! All women are beautiful regardless of age or size, and Ahsley’s main desire is help each woman see their true beauty shine!

1. Ashley Sievert BeautyI searched for the perfect foundation for years. They all turned me orange, did not give me the coverage I needed, and broke me out. I took matters into my own hands and Ashley Sievert Beauty was born! The line consists of a Mineral Velvet Crème- Full coverage, light weight, long lasting. Mineral Finishing Powder- Sets the Crème and leaves an “airbrushed” look and feel. Glow Under Eye Brightener- Highlights, Conceals and Brightens in one. The line is for all ages, skin types and tones!

2. Midnight Passion and MarshmallowMy 2 “go to” nail colors- Midnight Passion (h&m) is the perfect black/red- fall/winter shade.. Essie Marshmallow is my favorite neutral for spring/summer. (3 coats is best)

3. Conair Wand | I have used the Conair wand for years now! It gives me that effortless beach waves which I could never achieve with a curling iron.

4. The Wet Brush | I constantly have knots when I wash my hair and this brush is a life saver!! I also have extensions and it helps me comb through without them falling out.

5. Victoria’s Secret Self Tanner and L’oreal Self Tanning MistI love this self tanner for my body and have an instant tint of color and a “day at the beach” summer glow within 4-6 hours! As for my face, I use the L’Oreal spray to make sure the tan is even.

6. Dry Shampoo SuaveI have oily hair and this has been my favorite dry shampoo. It soaks up the oil and leaves my hair smelling fresh.

7. Almay Triple Effect Mascara | This mascara is amazing and I love it’s unique double sided brush. My lashes look thick and long with only 1-2 coats.

8. Juice ESP Blemish CleanserI have tried many skin care lines and this one is a favorite! I especially love the blemish cleanser which keeps me clear without drying out my skin.

9. Antiqued shadow MAC | I use this shadow on myself and clients all the time! This copper shade looks great on everyone.

Happy Holiday Party

A whole lot of glitter, a whole lot of gold and a whole lot of happy.  This, my friends, is what I call a can’t miss holiday party.  Think yummy treats mix and mingling with gorgeous blooms from Lance Hayes Flowers, amazing images from Ashleigh Jayne  and fabulous details all styled to perfection by Angela Marie Events.  Inspiration overload?  Yes, please.  Click here for sooo much more

From Angela Marie Events…  I always like a little glam during the holidays, so I used lots of gold paired with pinks and reds! I used beautiful red and gold Lenox china and paired it with gold etched glasses from Anthropologie. I used golden pears and beautiful pomegranates down the table. The menu cards, place cards, and invitation was created by Proper Prints. We decided that the holidays is a happy time-so why not celebrate all that makes us happy?!

Our model is sporting an Adrianna Papell dress from Bella Bridesmaid Baton Rouge, earrings from BHLDN, and Kate Spade glitter pumps. We featured three fun cocktails for our party and served delicious desserts-caramel pecan cheesecake, chocolate naked cake, sugar cookies, and chocolate cake calls.

We also served some great cheeses and fruit with good ole southern cheese straws! And what makes people pretty happy? Wine, of course! Pretty Italian wines to go for guests’ favors!

Elegant New Orleans Wedding

Classically elegant weddings make me swoon, especially when said wedding is a perfectly planned hometown affair by Sapphire Events. From the gorgeous Ivory And White Boutique clothed Bride, to the soft and pretty Kim Starr Wise blooms, every lovely detail snapped by Greer G Photography is positively radiant. A gallery as beautiful as this one is timeless beyond compare and can all be seen here.

From Sapphire EventsMargaret Anne and Kyle planned a destination wedding in Kyle’s Hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Margaret Anne is a classic beauty with classically elegant taste. She aimed for a minimalistic color palette with major “wow” factors for the reception.

The beautiful floor-to-ceiling-to-floor draping created a huge impact that amazed guests upon entering the reception venue, and the light and ethereal decor design contrasted beautifully against the hundred-years-old cypress pine beams and rustic elements of this warehouse space. Margaret Anne was the first to view the space as she arrived in her limo with Kyle, and she squealed when she saw the lights aglow. Sweet, simple, traditional, and decidedly Southern, this celebration exemplified everything Margaret Anne and Kyle had imagined for their big day!

Vintage Glam French Quarter Wedding

The best weddings are built on moments with meaning. Moments like the Bride’s cap veil handmade using her mother’s wedding gown, and modeled after her great grandmother’s veil from the 1920’s. Or the reception decor, including many pieces straight from the Bride and Groom’s own home. Pieced together, these details make for an unforgettable day captured by Catherine Guidry and Films By Dan.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/98501849 600 338]

From Catherine GuidryHeather and Matt are quite possibly one of the most talented couples I’ve met. They’re also wedding photographers so you can imagine how excited and honored I was when they contacted me to photograph their wedding! Not only are Heather and Matt completely smitten and so much fun to photograph but their details were also lovely, unique, and personal.

The Grimm wedding could be described as vintage, personal, and timeless. Heather told me “If Pottery Barn and the French Quarter had a baby….it would be their wedding style.”

As a photographer, lighting is HUGE. So, photographing other photographers was really a joy because I could see that this played a large part in their day…everything from where they got ready to how the string lights hung overhead at the Degas House. The feel was very comfy, cozy, and crazy cool; I literally could go on and on.

The centerpieces consisted of oversized lanterns: different shapes, sizes, and colors (Heather’s favorite). They brought a classic element to this French Quarter wedding. The color palette was peach, gold, and navy, and their mix-matched bridesmaids’ dresses were to die for.

I think the largest visual theme for their wedding was the DIY, personal feel. Almost all of the decor was from their homes. Heather also hand painted every sign, created the table/bar runners and designed the printed items and CD Favors. The photo booth props and signs were hand crafted and the marquee lights were created by the couple as well. Heather’s mom planted the mint favors from their garden and the backdrops and decor were all hand-made. The bride and groom table is their farm table from home…and even their wedding iinvitationswere designed by Heather and addressed by hand.

Her Juliet cap was made by her mom from her own wedding gown and modeled after Heather’s great-grandmother’s veil from the 1920′s. Matt’s favorite detail was their rings: Heather’s were created from her grandmother’s wedding rings!

Southern Romance Inspiration in New Orleans

I can’t pinpoint it, but there is something about New Orleans that enchants me, draws me in. It holds an allure, a seductive mystery that I can’t get enough of. This shoot captured that spirit and more, and just like the city it was shot in, I can’t look away. Designed by the talented 12th Table and shot by Marissa Lambert, the full gallery has me longing to visit this sultry city and discover some of its romance myself.

From 12th Table… Environment plays such a huge part in how gatherings should be designed. You should tap into the heartbeat of the city, the culture, the home, and really take cues from the beauty that already surrounds you. That’s what we tried to do here and really capture that spirit of New Orleans. Sultry. Adventurous. Bright. Booming. Full of life and character. The venue, Race and Religious, was the perfect backdrop. Just the right dose of history mixed with intrigue. It’s so easy to fall in love here.

Amazing Proposal for Aurora Survivor

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a hopeless romantic and I’ll also admit that this proposal had me in tears (from start to finish). You see, with the help of family and friends, Max Zoghbi created a short film that perfectly traces this couple’s story and demonstrates that in the end, love will always triumph over tragedy. Take my advice and only press “play” with tissues in hand.

[iframe http://www.youtube.com/embed/kV5dMQ-432M 600 338]

From the Groom… Our proposal was a culmination of many things that had been in the works for a long while, most of which were both out of our hands and unbeknownst to us until taking time later to reflect on it all. It wasn’t so much planning something from scratch as it was identifying meaningful things in our lives that God had already placed there and stringing them together in a thoughtfully fun way. I had been there [wanting to marry Bonnie Kate] for quite a while before her heart was ready to reciprocate that notion. Needless to say I had time to ponder ‘how’ I would ask for some time, so I had many many ideas before this one. And as I was wrestling with how to do it I was confronted with the ‘why’ behind it as my mom and brother Michael asked me ‘Why are you really doing this?” I came to grips that my previous ideas were very selfish. It was then I abandoned all of those other equally ridiculous ideas I had previously that were very ‘Max-centered’ and decided to do what would become ‘Wildflower’.

You can see this struggle in the trailer within the documentary as the main character “Mac” (me) is trying so hard to impress this girl with these fanciful notions and over the top gestures because he loves her so much. His daydreams get the best of him. Not that there’s anything wrong with ‘over the top’ nor is there something wrong with ‘simple and sweet’. Regardless of ‘how’ I was going to ask, I had to get the ‘why’ right first, which was to honor her, serve her and make her feel so loved in a way no other man could. Once that became grounded, my intentions then led my imagination rather than my imagination clouding up my intentions.

Everything really fell into place and I realized I, as a filmmaker, had to help redeem the theater for her and do something powerful that would make this amazing girl’s sweet heart burst out of her chest. As I drew nearer to God in that long season of waiting, dreaming and planning I gained a deeper understanding of His overwhelming, passionate, powerful, selfless, patient, relentless love for me. I had to, best as any broken man could, tangibly show that heavenly love in any way I could. This just seemed like the best, most obvious and actually attainable way I knew how, so I did.

It wasn’t until after the fact I was compelled or even thought to share this part of our story with the rest of the world…

Ya know I wrote, shot, edited and planned the whole proposal fiasco in about 6 weeks, then we got married 4 months later. It was a whirlwind to say the least. It all happened so fast I didn’t really have time to process how much the very thing I was creating (capturing this part of our story that is) was therapy for me, until after it was all edited together. I just knew I had to capture our proposal because being a filmmaker I wanted to have it to relish in and share with our kids down the road. But then as I was editing it and reflecting on it I realized that Wildflower is really just me wrestling with and making sense of this crazy 4 years of friendship, heartbreak, waiting, tragedy, pain, thanksgiving and endurance. It became my mirror, a visual narrative of me making sense of the hell and heaven that’s been this season of our life.

It is a diary to myself, a love letter to my bride and an invitation to the world to take a 20 minute walk into our suffering and celebration in hopes that they, that YOU, might find something that will encourage or help you make sense of your story. Pain is that wickedly strange thing that unites us all as humans, we all know it and it’s intimate familiarity can break or shape us. And as people who bear the name “Christian” Bonnie Kate and I have a unique, privileged and humble duty to show that the worst of the worst of the worst; a massacre, murder, chronic pain, daily hell CANNOT, WILL NOT, AND IS NOT ABLE to break us or lead us to despair. We may cry, we may suffer, we may doubt, we may and will and do wrestle with the endemic brokenness of this earth daily through Bonnie Kate’s pain, but we will not be overcome. Love will ultimately triumph, forgiveness will be without relent, and through all that tension, the hopeful pursuit of one man to earn the heart of a southern woman somehow took the form of a 20 minute marriage proposal documentary. I suppose it aims to serve as a broken glimpse into the heart of a loving God who lets bad things happen to His people for a season for their good and His glory. That’s what it’s really about I suppose, I’m just thankful and incredibly humbled that I’ve been given gifts to communicate it in a relevant and accessible way through film that has already impacted so many people’s lives. I hope it continues to give people hope and encouragement, I think the world needs more of that.

Fall New Orleans Wedding with Polish Traditions

A New Orleans wedding in and of itself is usually a party. But when you throw a few fun Polish traditions into the mix? It becomes a full on celebration, lit with twinkling lights, vodka bottles serving as bloom vessels (crafted by Kim Starr Wise!) and even a late night second line. And it all started with this quiet moment at the altar. Head to the full gallery from Dark Roux Photography for more!

From Dark Roux PhotographyA Race and Religious wedding is amazing no matter what, but take a Race and Religious wedding and add a whole lot of Polish traditions and you’ve got the ingredients for something truly memorable. Michal brought so many things to his wedding that we’ve never seen. After Celeste and all of her girls got ready in one of the suites at Race and Religious they went down for some good luck shots while the guys were at their hotel drinking things we’ve never seen and certainly cannot pronounce! Shortly after their celebratory libations, the couple met at St. Theresa de Avila to say their vows.

Once Celeste and Michal both said ‘I do’, it was back to Race and Religious for one of the biggest parties to date. The place looked beautiful with all of the floral arrangements (some in vodka bottles for the Polish touch) done by Kim Starr Wise. There was food everywhere with catering by Palate. When the party first started there was a traditional bread that the couple shared and then they had to take a shot, well kind of. One glass was water and the other was vodka. The newlywed who got the vodka has the upper hand in the marriage, or so the tradition says. What had us cracking up was the games they played! They each took turns wearing a blindfold and felt up different guests and had to guess only by touch, which guest was their new spouse. Celeste and Michal know each other well because they both guessed correctly! The night wasn’t complete without a little New Orleans thrown in there, because no New Orleans wedding is complete without a second line, and man was there ever a second line!!! The entire day ran smoothly with Mint Julep Productions running the show, and we’re so happy that we got to enjoy the party with these two.

Romantic Watercolor Wedding Inspiration Shoot

From saturated to soft, watercolors are having a moment right now. And when you combine an ever flowing palette with creative geniuses, you have an inspiration shoot made in heaven. Elyse Jennings Weddings coordinated a seamless blend of whimsy and artistic influences, while Greer G captured every rose hued detail (that Monique Lhuillier dress!).  Get your imaginative fill, and pour through the gallery.

From Elyse Jennings Weddings… I designed the shoot with the idea of “ART” in mind! I imagined the groom to be a painter and the bride to own a gallery- which is how they may have met and fell in love! Their wedding of course would have plenty of artistic touches- from the water color invitations, to the impressionistic color palate in lush, loose flowers, to the entrance of their dinner designed as an art gallery with floral “paintings” on display as the guests wander through! Everything would take a slightly more creative approach than the traditional wedding, so we brought in many rose gold accents: the rosy engagement ring, rose colored mercury glass vases, and even a stunning blush Monique Lhuillier wedding gown! I wanted to bring so much movement, femininity and color into the day for our phenomenal photographer Greer to capture!

Fun and Colorful Louisiana Outdoor Wedding

Any wedding with a little southern flair is sure to get my heart racing, and this celebration is filled with just that. It’s infused with personality from start to finish and Arte De Vie was behind the lens to capture every splendid moment. Bet you won’t be able to take your eyes off this whimsy-loving gallery.

From Arte De VieI’ve always said that our couples from Houma or Thibodaux always know how to throw the best parties, and I think Caley and Robbie may have just upped the bar! Caley grew up in one of the oldest homes in Houma, and the grounds were already perfect for her Southern wedding with the old, stately Oaks covering the front lawn which served as the cocktail hour, along with games of Jenga and Cornhole. But they took it a step further and cleared out some old buildings behind the house to make room for the giant event tent so they had the perfect setting for the Bucktown Allstars to help them party into the night!

Caley is a definitely a person of detail, and she made sure to fill her wedding with fun, as well as personal, details. I just loved all the cowboy boots as well, and that has to be one of the most epic shoe shots I’ve done to date! I also really love the dramatic shot of the newlyweds as they started to make their way down the aisle after saying I Do, as the light just washed through the stained glass. The sun couldn’t have been more cooperative on their 2nd Line as well, providing a gorgeous golden rim light on them, as well as turning the calm bayou water in more of a reflecting pond as all the guests made their way behind the Treme Brass Band. The day was an absolutely perfect one, and we couldn’t be happier for two of the sweetest people you could hope to meet!

DIY Bridal Makeup Tutorial

We’re a bunch of beauty junkies on this little corner of the blogosphere (see our Makeup & Beauty Pinterest board), so when pros like Shena Cox offer to impart some wisdom, we happily oblige. It’s a step-by-step tutorial to recreate this soft, ultra romantic look yourself with flawless film images from Tina Boyd & Co. Grab your makeup goodies and let’s get started!

From Tina Boyd & Co…. I partnered up with Shena Cox and we wanted to show how to get a romantic look, even if the bride has to do it herself. From a soft romantic blush color to the perfect bun, everything you need to match that vintage lace dress. Bridal makeup is all about emphasizing your best features. It’s not about demonstrating how well you apply your makeup. So keep it soft and simple. Sometimes minimal is key. Even though wedding makeup is usually very simple and neutral, it’s one of the most difficult makeup looks to create, since it has to be PERFECT. After all, it is your special day! I will show you how easy it can be.

FOR THE SKIN

FOR THE EYES

  • Start off with an eye shadow base or primer. I used MAC’s Paint Pot in Layin’ Low. Apply a thin layer of primer beginning at your lid blending evenly up to the arch of your brow. I find that using a flat concealer brush similar to MAC’s #252 brush works best for applying your primer.
  • Using a fluffy blending brush apply a taupe, medium brown toned, satin textures eye shadow to your crease to blending the shadow in a wind-shield wiper motion back and forth. This will accentuate the shape of your eye and define your crease. I used MAC’s #224 Blending brush and eye shadow in “Soba”
  • Next, using a smaller, more tapered fluff brush, apply a small amount of a peachy brown eye shadow to your crease and lash line creating a side ways V and blend. I used MAC’s eye shadow in “Texture”
  • Brush on a golden bronze color to your lid and inner corners of your eyes to really open them up. I used Urban Decay’s eye shadow in“Half Baked” and MAC’s 252 Brush.
  • Apply a warm matte chestnut brown shadow along your lash line using a precision shading pencil brush. I used MAC’s eye shadow in “Brown Script” and MAC’s 219 Pencil Brush.
  • Apply a light, frosted, golden peach shadow to highlight the arch of the brow. I used MAC’s eye shadow in “Motif”
  • Using a cleaned fluffy blending brush blend all of the colors together to create a blended, seamless eye look.
  • Finish off your look by applying a black gel liner and mascara.
