A Serena & Lily Inspired Wedding in Romantic Blue and Pink Hues

We knew we wanted a big wedding but we wanted it to feel intimate and personal for our guests. We wanted our wedding to feel like us. Our design was Serena and Lily – esque. My husband, my mom, and my dad helped me to articulate my vision and Tanarah Haynie helped bring it to life. At other weddings, we always miss the cake cutting so we rolled our wedding cake out to the center of the dance floor where everyone could see.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Logan and I, both first-year law students at Ole Miss Law, met at our very first law school social function. Surrounded by what have become great friends, we struck up a conversation after I went up to a group of guys that I had been told went to Mississippi State. Logan was the only State guy there. We struck up a conversation, which led to a GroupMe message (not Logan’s proudest moment), which led to an exchange of phone numbers. We have been inseparable ever since. As our law school journey was coming to an end, Logan asked me to be his wife on the slope of my favorite ski run at Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. We skied down the run to our family and friends running to hug us. It was truly a dream![/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The dress I wish I could wear forever! It was a full lace gown with a high neckline, long-sleeves, and an open key-hole back. The lace had scattered clear sequins that gave it a subtle sparkle.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Bridesmaid dresses were from Revelry. They were an almond colored crepe dress with a sleek square neckline, bows on the shoulders, and a godet skirt.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Logan and I are pretty picky and knew we wanted to have food that both of us would eat. We had 3 stations: mac & cheese bar, nacho bar, and slider bar. My favorite was the bite-sized Beef Wellington. Incredible!

For drinks, we had a full bar and two signature drinks: a dirty shirley and an old fashioned.

We had Raduno Pizza as our late night snack![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We had blue and white monolithic florals abounding with cherry blossom branches. Our tables were filled with o’hara roses, blue delphinium and garden florals. Our stage and bar were custom painted with cherry blossoms. And of course, candles everywhere! Above the bar, we had a floral framed screen that scrolled through memories of Logan and me.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We had a 7 tier cake with florals/lace matching my wedding dress cascading the side of it. There were three flavors: funfetti, white chocolate raspberry, and lemon.

The groom’s cake was a chocolate cake in the shape of our chocolate lab, Sawyer Brown.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]I am big on traditional church ceremonies! Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach) for the seating of the mothers; Canon in D (Pachelbel) for the wedding party processional; Here Comes the Bride (Wagner) for the Bridal processional. For the recessional/postlude, the Second Presbyterian Chamber Choir performed the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ from Handel’s Messiah.

Our band was Manhattan with Jordan Kahn Orchestra and were absolutely unbelievable! Our first dance song was Better Together by Luke Combs. This song was released the year we met and has always been our song. Our father-daughter dance was Just Fishin’ by Trace Adkins. Our private last dance was Dance with Me by Morgan Evans. So very special![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]My dad gave me a sixpence from the year I was born (1997) to wear in my shoe. For my something old, my mom gave me a broach that I wore on my bouquet of lily of the valley. The broach was handed down from my great-great-grandmother.

I wrote a letter to Logan every month of our engagement and gave them to him at our rehearsal dinner for him to read the morning of our wedding.

Logan wrote a letter to each of my bridesmaids and house party and gave them to them at our rehearsal dinner. He is so thoughtful.

Our first look was on the Capital Hotel porch and was everything I dreamed of. Right after we saw each other, we heard cheers from the street below and saw our friends walking by. It was so special![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Honestly, all of it took way more effort than I could have imagined. The fireworks on the banks of the Arkansas River had to be approved by a lot of people. They were unbelievable and worth all of the logistical planning.

We covered the entire carpet in the room because it was a typical conference room carpet. Blegh. It transformed the room!!![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]My mom wore a Lourdes Chaves gown in blush pink with re-embroidered sequin florals and a crystal rose bag by Judith Leiber. Too incredible not to share![/field]

Breathtaking Blue And White Wedding Against The Arkansas Mountains

Grace and Jacob’s entire vision was first and foremost to have an outdoor ceremony with views of the Arkansas mountains. Then the overall vision was the mix patterns of blue floral print, chinoiserie vases and a very laid back garden but modern feel.

Grace’s wedding gown was stunning; it was from Joon Bridal, and it was form-fitting and had a custom cuff sleeve veil. The floral appliqué was so special and it fit her perfectly.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]One of the highlights were all of Grace’s best friends and bridesmaids wearing various shades of blue and blue floral print dresses for the bridesmaids dresses. They picked out perfect dresses that all flowed together perfectly. Some were solid, some were printed and some even had beautiful bows on them. [/field]

The main decor focus was the beautiful blue and white chinoiserie vases that Grace and her mom collected over time. The florals were shades of white and blue, and the napkins were the cutest blue floral print. The overall colors and decor were all blue and white and had a sweet garden feel with a modern touch.

Grace and Jacob’s cake was so beautiful and modern, covered in pearls with a beautiful blue satin ribbon. It was such a statement.

Colorful Modern Summer Wedding Filled With A Fantastic Floral Chandelier

From Erin Wilson Photography… Carlley and Turner’s wedding was the most colorful fun wedding I have ever seen! Carlley is an artist, and she was so inspired by color. She worked alongside her planner Amanda Reed to create an experience for their guests that was such a wow factor.

Carlley’s dress was a show-stopper! Her dress was covered in floral applique, and the train was so unique. I love that her bridesmaids carried varying florals. Some really sweet moments at their wedding was when Carlley’s brothers walked her down the aisle. Carlley’s father has passed away, and her brothers had the honor of walking her down the aisle. Not only that but they had the sweetest first look at her. Her younger brother walked her down the first half of the aisle while her older brother walked her down the second half of the aisle. It was such a beautiful moment. After their ceremony, when they were just announced husband and wife they were greeted with a second line that lead them from their church down the street to the reception venue.

From the watercolor-like floral painting on the cake and softer romantic feeling at the dinner side of the reception to the moodier nighttime vibe of the dance floor area of the reception… everything was a moment. The floral installation over the dance floor was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It was an elevated nighttime garden party with a live band, and it was everything that represented Carlley and Turner. They served late-night snacks from their favorite restaurant, threw boas and fun goodies from the ceiling during dancing the keep the party going and their college mascot even made an appearance. It was a party for the ages. One of my favorite parts of the night was the colorful confetti send off… it was the perfect touch to their colorful day.

You’ll Fall In Love With The Bride’s Blue Statement Bow On Her Wedding Dress!

It’s official, our bride Mary Grace found the perfect something blue for her wedding day. Her Unveiled Bridal Collection dress had the most luxurious of details, a satin statement bow done in soft blue. Shelia Vaught planned a day equally as beautiful as the bride’s attire, and Tanarah of Luxe Floral and Event Styling used beautiful blooms to bring the couple’s love story to life. When I walked into Mary Grace’s childhood home, I gasped. Hanging from the window frame in her parent’s bedroom was her gorgeous wedding dress, complete with a custom blue statement bow that draped down the back in stunning satin. Paired with her timeless blue Manolo Blahnik heels, she was a vision! One of the most fun details that circulated throughout the day was the appearance of white hydrangeas.

The bride’s mother had some growing out in front of her home, so we were able to incorporate those into the detail shots. Hydrangeas were blooming in full at the Country Club of Little Rock, which provided a perfect backdrop for the portraits of the bride and groom! But the bride wasn’t the only one with a unique and custom fashion look! Richard, the groom, had custom Stubbs and Wooten shoes made with his soon-to-be bride’s initials.

They were a showstopper and took his look to the next level when paired with his classic tuxedo. With her sister and friend on her side in their unique patterned blue bridesmaid dresses, Mary Grace wed Richard at her childhood church. They celebrated with a beautiful reception at the Country Club of Little Rock overlooking a golf course. The reception mirrored the statement bow on Mary Grace’s dress – blue and white, in elegant and timeless decor.

This Luxury Christmas Wedding Is All The Holiday Cheer You Need!

Dale and Sage have celebrated their love for 18 years and when they decided to get married they knew it had to be a Christmas wedding. Dale has loved Christmas for so long, going back to when he was younger and would help his family decorate for Christmas.

This holiday means so much to him, more than words can say. It meant so much to celebrate their love with holiday style. Every detail was perfect because Dale himself owns a floral company Silks a Bloom and he designed everything and his team created this beautiful day. Anne Claire Allen Planning & Design, a wedding planner, and his best friend, helps execute Dale and Sage’s dream to perfection.

Every guest was given an ornament as a gift and every chair had each guest’s name on a small wreath. The evening was not only meant to celebrate Dale and Sage’s love but each celebrating each guest and loved one in their lives. A special detail from Dale and Sage’s day was their attire. Barakat Bespoke in Little Rock designed multiple looks for each groom. They were dressed to perfection.

A Classic Modern Wedding for Arkansas Razorback Royalty

This all-white wedding is sure to stop you in your tracks. From the custom beverage seating chart to serving champagne off a woman’s skirt, every incredible detail is artfully captured in imagery by Erin Wilson Photography. From Erin Wilson Photography … Madison is the granddaughter of Frank Broyles, the former legendary coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks for the University of Arkansas. He was a beloved coach and athletic director that had a vision for the University’s field becoming a stadium and more. If you say the name Broyles in Arkansas the Razorback fans will know exactly who he is. He’s very loved and his beautiful granddaughter wanted to honor her grandfather by getting married on campus and hosting their rehearsal dinner at the stadium in the athletic center full of razorback-themed details. Not only is this the University where her grandfather coached football, but it’s the very place where Madison and Bradley met while they were in college and fell in love. The location has so many special memories for them and was the perfect place for them to get married.

Their wedding was all white, classic, full of florals, and right in the heart of campus under a clear tent with an incredible live band. Something that was very important to Madison was that they were married in her grandparent’s church which is the same church where her grandmother herself was one of the lovely women who stitched the pew cushions. Madison wore her mother-in-law’s veil down the aisle and a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown to match the beautiful vintage veil. Since the couple lives in Dallas they had to bring a little Texas fun to Arkansas by serving some Ranch Water drinks and tacos as the guests entered their reception adorned with the cutest little cowboy hat drink stirs. Their all-white classic wedding reception was filled with fun surprises all evening long. Two of the classic moments were their choreographed dance and cutting their 10-tier cake for the 10 years being together.

Such a sweet plan Madison and Bradley looked forward to. Madison is full of energy and so much fun and LOVES Elton John. Bradley pulled off a huge surprise by gifting her with an Elton John impersonator/look-alike to sing at their wedding it was a surprise to every guest and the bride was SO happy. Throughout the evening they had live dancers and late-night snacks delivered by the University of Arkansas Razorback mascots to represent her love for her Grandfather and his legacy and their love for the Razorbacks. It was such an incredible wedding.

I know that Marisa was inspired by a French fall and the beautiful Moss Mountain was such a beautiful backdrop and space for their wedding.

Marisa and Craig wanted to celebrate their guests by hosting an intimate event and spoiling them with a beautiful cocktail hour in the gardens with a harpist and by having several courses under beautiful lights in the fall evening.

From Erin Wilson Photography and Films… I would describe Mary Claire and Mitchell as classic, and fun. They wanted a beautiful classic wedding with southern touches like monograms, southern food, a fun southern band from Memphis, colorful florals and to be married in their church.

I loved that Mitchell wore a white dinner jacket and Mary Claire wore a gorgeous classic gown with subtle detail (she even had a fun reception dress with a super cute bow too). The two dazzled on their wedding day.

I loved that their wedding was at her family home with all their friends and family. All the best memories were happening right where the bride grew up. Very ‘Father of the Bride’ style!

From Erin Wilson Photography and Films… Brooklyn and Zach had to go through several changes for their wedding from a venue change to changing their dance location from indoors to outdoors at the last moment due to covid precautions and in the end, they ended up having the most fun elegant day to remember.

Brooklyn loves shades of pink and embraced the modern details of her venue and blended her soft artful style by implementing an abundance of soft blush florals, silky dark rose bridesmaids dresses, her bridal gown full of embellishments, candlelight and wine, and delicate flowers and their artful cake with sculptural details.

Their wedding day took them from an outdoor ceremony to a romantic indoor dinner reception to an extremely fun outdoor dance party with their band under the stars with the views of downtown Little Rock on their custom dance floor with pink velvet-soft seating. After all the changes and hurdles that Brooklyn and Zach went through they ended with the most fun and memorable day with all their favorite people and the loveliest ceremony where they joined lives together. They are just so beautiful together.

Modern Bohemian Wedding Full Of Tantalizing Textures

Pretty shades of pinks and greens have stolen our hearts at this bohemian-inspired wedding at The Grandeur House. Anne Claire Allen Planning & Design designed a day that delights, from an indoor ceremony filled with greenery that brought the outdoors in, to a reception filled with hanging florals designed by the ever-talented Silks a Bloom. From Erin Wilson Photography and Films… Devon and Blake chose to host their wedding at beautiful The Grandeur House in the heart of Arkansas showcasing the beautiful outdoors and gorgeous all-white venue so their modern bohemian wedding full of soft muted colors and textures could shine. They love riding horses and being outdoors so having the feeling of being outdoors indoors was important to them.

Devon and Blake included Devon’s sweet daughter in their wedding ceremony where Blake also said the sweetest vows to her and all the guests were in tears. It was beautiful to witness. A fun highlight of the evening was a sweet little coffee bar serving the best coffee around and yard games for all the kids to play outside.

Their dance floor was a custom pattern matching their design and adorned with a beautiful hanging installation with baskets and beautiful textured florals. The beautiful design included soft seating with a mixture of leather and linen and it was perfect. The beautiful color combination of the wedding has my heart as well, the shades of peach, blush, and greens are stunning.

From Erin Wilson Photography… Erin and Ryan were amongst many many couples who had to change their big spring 2020 wedding plans due to COVID-19.

They had to make some major changes and decisions and decide to have a micro wedding with 10 people and get married on their original wedding date with plans to have a big reception later this year.

They were married with just their parents and siblings attending and it was the sweetest day. They had a mini-reception with charcuterie and champagne and cake. We absolutely adore this couple and are so happy they made the decision to celebrate in their own way during the craziest time this country has seen. It was the most perfect day.

From Erin Wilson Photography… Kathleen and Zach had their modern, fresh wedding at The Clinton Center in downtown Little Rock. Their wedding was in early fall and they chose fresh soft colors to pop against the warm fall colors.

They had beautiful custom artwork at their bar and added so many little pops of their personality while making it fresh and inviting. In their lounge seating, they added some of their favorite books to the coffee tables so guests could look through them while spending time there.

Their reception was equal parts beautiful and romantic, much like the couple themselves. It was a magical evening and a true celebration of their unique personality and love story.

This Modern Classic Little Rock Wedding Brings The Fun

This wedding is one for the books! Not only is every bit of this beautiful day impeccably styled by Bella Baxter Events, the gold-accented reception tables will leave you swooning, but you can feel the joy of the day through the pictures! From Erin Wilson Photography… Hair influencer CaLynna and her handsome groom Stephen chose to get married at the Clinton Center in downtown Little Rock for a beautiful, chic celebration. Bridesmaids were swathed in lavender gowns that played perfectly with accents of gold that filled the day.

Their ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and all their closest family and friends. An all-white floral ceremony arch was the perfect backdrop for the exchanging of vows.

The reception was filled with elegance. Stunning gold chairs, candlelight, orchids, and so many beautiful textures and details made the space come to life. Friends toasted and sang to the newlyweds and everyone danced and celebrated the night away.

The Perfect Transitional Color Palette Between Summer and Fall

From Kati Mallory Photo + Design… Weddings have stayed in a more neutral color palette for awhile, so we wanted to inspire couples with a palette that was not-quite-summer and not-quite-fall, but rather the transitional period between the two. Intrigued by what would happen when the blush and citrus colors of summertime merged with the warmer and darker amber and mauve tones of autumn, these vendors pulled together a shoot that was both unique and colorful, warm and cozy.

Throughout the shoot, different elements were chosen to represent the seasons we were trying to portray: the blush three-toned cake represented summer while the pecan pie bites were a nod to fall. The summery terra cotta vases lined the reception table with the fall-inspired pear candles and thick velvet napkins set nearby. All throughout the shoot we were constantly trying to mix the two seasons in an intentional and cohesive way! As a way to also lighten the mood and show couples how much fun they can have on their wedding days – that it can be more laid back – we incorporated a fun take on the bar, using mismatching cans of rosé instead of more traditional drinks.

We loved the fun designs that the cans added to the shoot, and the unique way they fit into the overall color story was so fun! For an added twist on drinks, Paper Supply Co designed custom drink floats that were edible and matched the invitation branding. It was such a fun risk and something we’d never seen done before! We also choose an assortment of patterns and fabrics for the bridesmaid dresses, which really portrayed each of the girls’ personalities in a fun way. Last but not least, we were very intentional with the gown our bride wore – we loved the feathery texture on top matched with the flowy chiffon skirt. It seemed the perfect combination of that summer-meets-fall vibe we were going for (even more so with the short sleeves, a perfect compromise between sleeveless and long-sleeves).

We wanted to shoot to portray joy that couples feel on their wedding day, so we incorporated real moments from a wedding to give our shoot life: vows being spoken, cutting the cake, dining and laughing with guests.

Our models are a real couple, and all of the bridesmaids were actual friends of the “bride.” It made the day so fun because there were so many real relationships happening in each moment! There was so much laughter in the room, you could feel the love! Definitely a wedding I would love to attend!

From Erin Wilson Photography… Brittany and Casey had the most fun floral filled farmhouse wedding in the heart of Arkansas outside of Little Rock. Their day was light and emotion filled as they celebrated with their closest family and friends.

Their wedding planner Natalie Scott used their loved for beautiful naturals, textures, florals, greenery and romantic touches to create their perfect day.

There was beautiful signature cocktails, stunning lighting, a fun cocktail hour and tons of dancing and celebrating. Brittany and Casey had their wedding ceremony in a beautiful white chapel filled with windows showcasing the Arkansas scenery in front of a lush floral filled arch.

Their wedding party wore classic black suits and rose pink bridesmaids gowns. I loved the organic style of their wedding florals and greenery and it filled the spaces in such a beautiful way.

The reception was full of gold touches, candles, florals, cakes and all their loved ones.

The wedding was classic with a modern twist and I absolutely loved all the bright bold colorful florals mixed with modern chairs and architecture. Anne-Claire Allen did an amazing job designing and planning their beautiful wedding. Peyton’s gorgeous classic and chic dress was from Unveiled and I loved her use of soft gray bridesmaids dresses to make the florals pop.

A Modern Southern Wedding with a Panama Twist at William Clinton Presidential Center

Since the groom is from the mountains of Panama and the bride is from The South, this couple wanted to incorporate details that represented both of their unique cultural backgrounds to their overall wedding décor. To do so, they enlisted the help of Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design to bring their vision to life. Prepare for the most beautiful bright pink bouquets by Silks A Bloom, darling baby blue bridesmaid dresses, some traditional southern fare and a modern reception space that will take your breath away. From the bride, Mary Daniel… John and I met during a law school function (to be specific – a 90s theme party), and from our first date on, I knew I wanted to marry him. Although we are both attorneys, and seemingly quite similar (we joke that we began finishing each other’s sentences on our first date and haven’t ever stopped), I view him as my perfect complement. I wanted our wedding to reflect our similarities and our differences. The overarching theme became just that – To place a focus on the details that composed us as a couple. Although John grew up in Texas, he is from the mountains of Panama, and I am from Little Rock, Arkansas. From day one of planning it became about combining those cultures in the form of one large party. Our wonderful wedding planner, Anne-Claire Allen Owens of Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design, embraced this full swing. She helped guide us toward an overall theme of “Southern with Twist.” We incorporated bright pink florals as a nod to Panama’s more tropical feel to complement the more traditional wedding ceremony venue. We greeted guests to the reception with traditional Panamanian sangria, topped with fresh fruit, and they feasted on some Arkansas staples afterward. As a child I’d always dreamed of a hometown wedding with all of my family surrounding me. Unfortunately, several important members of my family, including both of my grandmothers, passed away prior to our marriage, so my style vision for our wedding day began about honoring the role my grandmothers played in my life. My maternal grandmother loved almost nothing more than blue and white chinoiserie pieces, and my paternal grandmother cherished gardenias and all things gardenia scented.

Anne-Claire worked with us to incorporate those details throughout our wedding, from the gardenia-scented Lux Fragrances candles in the gift baskets to the chinoiserie-printed fans on the balcony at our reception venue. Our invitations were lined with a custom created gardenia print, and our crest was adorned with gardenias. We even used my family’s collection of chinoiserie vases for most of the florals! At that point in the planning process, the vision truly began to stand out for a blue and white wedding with pops of pink. While I was focused on incorporating chinoiserie throughout our wedding, I did not want to create an overly traditional décor because John is drawn to a more clean, simplistic design style. That’s where our venue comes into play. We took trolleys from the very traditional church where our ceremony took place to the Clinton Presidential Library, which is one of the most modern pieces of architecture in Little Rock. I think the transition from a stone and wood paneled church interior to the glass and limestone ballroom at the Clinton Center truly signaled the switch to party mode! John and I are total foodies that could not settle on one menu, so instead of having a seated dinner, we had an oversized buffet. There was passed hors-d’oeuvre’s, a raw bar with East-Coast oysters and tuna tartare (a nod to our love for traveling – Cape Cod has been our favorite vacation spot so far), pork tenderloin with horseradish sauce, fried chicken (in honor of our first date – John says he knew I was a keeper when I ordered fried chicken and greens on our first date), macaroni and cheese, an entire bread assortment (another nod to Panamanian custom), and more sides than you could ever count!

John and I are huge Tex-Mex fans, so after a while we had sliders and quesadillas brought out to the dance floor, just to make sure everyone stayed full – Ha! We were fortunate enough to get married over a holiday weekend, so many of our friends and family were able to travel in and attend. We joke that our guests filled most of Little Rock’s downtown hotels, because we had guests fly in from Panama, China, Peru, France, and all over the United States. It was absolutely the most humbling feeling, and I knew I wanted to make sure we treated them to a weekend they’d always remember. Guests were greeted at their hotels with “Welcome to Little Rock” baskets composed of [mostly] Arkansas-made products: J&M cheese straws, a Lux Fragrances scented candle wrapped in a pink box and topped with a blue hydrangea in honor of our wedding colors, a marshmallow crispy cake from The Crispery (which is based in Virginia, where John and I met, but has its bakery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where I was born and where most of my family lives), and finally, a miniature pecan pie made in Texas by the Gilbert Pecan Company because John and I were moving to Houston, Texas after our honeymoon. I have too many “favorites” to name, but I think the aspect I most enjoyed planning was creating the perfect nod to John’s [other] two loves: flying and our dog, Winston. John did not want a traditional groom’s cake, so instead, I surprised him with a milk and cookie bar, his favorite late-night snack.

We had a custom drawing of Winston that could be made into stickers, and the wonderful chefs at the Clinton Center created airplane-shaped cookies for the station. We labeled the station “Winston’s Wag Bags” and instructed guests to fill a to-go bag with cookies, sealed shut with a sticker of Winston! Another favorite was working with Shuler Studio to create our monogram. We first incorporated it in our save-the-date and then sealed our invitations with wax seals stamped with our monogram. At the reception, Deborah Allen painted a beautiful centerpiece for the back wall of the ballroom with our monogram and the dance floor was adorned with it. Smaller details incorporated it as well; we had custom pillows monogrammed and placed in the lounge areas, stir-sticks and koozies at the bars monogrammed in navy and white to pick up the navy lounge furniture, the guest book ring bearer pillow were properly embroidered, and even the favors by The Crispery were iced with our monogram! Although I loved every minute of our wedding, there are five moments (in consecutive order) that are my most cherished. (1) Opening my wedding present from John to learn we’d gotten each other the exact same gift – an oil painting by beloved Kristen Hess Art. I cried from laughing so hard when I realized! Luckily, she was smart and advised him to give me a certificate for a painting from our wedding day. (2) A balloon release at the church with our family in honor of our deceased family members and friends. When I was young, my brother passed away, and my grandmother helped me understand the concept of death by sending balloons up to Heaven for my brother. It was incredibly important to me that we incorporate a prayer and balloon release prior to our service. (3) Communion. John and I are both religious, and while we wanted the reception to consist of nothing but the world’s most fun party, we wanted to make sure our ceremony honored the commitment we were making. (4) Private dinner after the ceremony with just John and me. Y’all. You need a moment to relish in the fact that you just got married!! Eating in a private dining room ensured that we got that (and that we got to taste all the magnificent food)! (5) Private last dance to end the night. Again – You really need several moments to process the rush of it all and try to commit all those feelings to memory. Our last dance was the most incredible way to wrap up our wedding and head into marriage together!
