From Anne Skidmore Photography … “David and I had dreamed of getting married at his childhood home for years before we were even engaged.” Set at this family home, this intimate place was already full of memories, and now friends and family gathered to help make a new one. Working with the farms natural charm David & Elizabeth created an incredible ambiance for their special day that was New England country chic. Madison, NH is filled with history where farms are tucked away on long dirt roads at the foothills of the White Mountains.

The wedding turned out to be a perfect New England summer day full of warm sunshine and a slight breeze to bounce the sunlight over the family farm. The farm’s animals are still kept in an old barn and forests bordered the edge of the fields leading to the mountains. Guests, dressed in bold colors, were often seen barefoot walking throughout the fresh-cut grass. The gardens and fields were planned to bloom just around the wedding date, and the ceremony was tucked in special field that was sheltered by some of the farm’s oldest pine trees. Elizabeth was led to the ceremony down the farm’s dirt road by her best friends all waving ribbon batons in the wind that were home-made of course. At the reception, Amy Butler table runners were hand made for each table, beautiful native flowers were placed in mason jars, and a table full of framed pictures reminded guests of the character of family love.

Elizabeth and David have a zest for life that is contagious! Their friends and family simply adore them, and even the animals on the farm are drawn to them as well! As their wedding evening came to a close, Elizabeth and David pitched had a tent pitched for the wedding night on the highest null at the farm, while friends camped in the lower fields. This was truly a special wedding and created a whole new set of memories for this beautiful family farm.
