A Romantic Neutral Toned Beachfront Wedding With a Timeless Coastal Aesthetic

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

A dreamy beachfront wedding in soft hues of ivory, blush, nude, and beige. The natural tones perfectly complemented the sand and sea, creating a romantic and timeless atmosphere.

A romantic and elevated beach celebration with a clean, airy aesthetic. Soft neutral tones and timeless details created a natural yet classic atmosphere, blending effortlessly with the coastal surroundings.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

What started as a 30th birthday getaway to Riviera Maya turned into the surprise of a lifetime. On the evening of January 4th, 2023, we took a sunset walk on the beach at UNICO 2087 before dinner, when a “staff member” offered to take our photo. After a few shots, she asked us to turn and look out at the ocean, and that’s when I saw his shadow drop to one knee. My heart stopped, my feet felt frozen in the sand, and I immediately burst into tears. That “staff member” was actually a photographer he had secretly hired to capture it all. Everything was so thoughtful and beautifully planned, it felt like something out of a dream. I truly didn’t think the proposal was going to happen on this tr;p, I was completely surprised. He pulled it off perfectly, and saying yes to forever with my best friend was the most magical way to start our vacation.

Scaling Your Wedding Business in 2025: What Works (and What Doesn’t)

Scaling a wedding business in 2025 is both exciting and challenging. The industry has bounced back stronger than ever, with more couples investing in personalized experiences, but the competition among vendors has never been higher. To thrive, vendors need to be intentional about where they spend their time and marketing dollars. Some strategies are working better than ever, while others are quickly losing relevance. Here’s a breakdown of what’s driving real growth—and what’s holding businesses back.

What’s Working in 2025 for Scaling Wedding Businesses

Vendor Directories That Drive Leads

Vendor directories remain one of the highest-ROI channels for wedding professionals. Couples use directories like Style Me Pretty, The Knot, WeddingWire, and Zola to find trusted vendors in their area. Directories are especially powerful because couples browsing them are already in “buying mode.”
To stand out, vendors should:

  • Keep profiles updated with recent weddings and testimonials.
  • Showcase high-quality photos that reflect their style.
  • Highlight reviews and awards that build trust.

Directories also improve search visibility—many directory pages rank highly in Google, putting vendors in front of couples who may never have otherwise found them.

Social Media That Converts (Not Just Follows)

Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest continue to dominate wedding inspiration. In 2025, it’s less about amassing followers and more about using content strategically to drive inquiries. Short-form video remains the most engaging format, but Pinterest is proving invaluable for evergreen traffic as couples plan over months (or years).
Key strategies:

  • Repurpose wedding galleries into quick Reels or TikTok clips.
  • Tag collaborators (venues, florists, planners) to increase reach.
  • Link posts and bios directly to inquiry forms or vendor directory profiles.

Social media can generate awareness at the top of the funnel—but pairing it with directories or ads ensures it translates into bookings.

Partnerships & Collaborations

Collaboration remains a growth engine in the wedding industry. Partnering with venues, planners, or associations can build referral pipelines and elevate credibility.
Ideas for vendors:

  • Cross-promote with local venues by showcasing styled shoots.
  • Partner with planners to be included in recommended vendor lists.
  • Engage in industry associations that offer networking and education opportunities.

Strategic partnerships extend reach beyond what most vendors can achieve on their own.

What’s Not Working (Anymore)

Relying on Word of Mouth Alone

Referrals will always matter, but relying only on word of mouth limits growth. Couples are researching extensively online and often need multiple touchpoints before booking.

Generic, Non-Specific Content

Blog posts or profiles that read like generic sales pitches don’t perform well anymore. Couples and AI platforms alike value clarity, structure, and specific answers.

“Boosted” Social Posts Without Strategy

Simply boosting random posts on Facebook or Instagram is rarely effective. Without a clear funnel and call-to-action, it’s easy to waste money without seeing results.

Outdated or Static Vendor Profiles

Profiles with old images, missing reviews, or broken links actively harm credibility. In a crowded marketplace, an incomplete profile signals a lack of professionalism.

How to Create a Smart Growth Plan for 2025

Scaling in 2025 requires focus. Instead of spreading yourself thin, choose 2–3 channels that consistently generate inquiries and invest more deeply in those.
Action steps:

  • Track ROI – Use tools like GA4 or directory dashboards to see where inquiries originate.
  • Build repeatable systems – Create a content calendar, automate email responses, and streamline client onboarding.
  • Balance short-term and long-term – Run ads for immediate inquiries but also build out evergreen SEO content that compounds over time.

By combining vendor directories, structured content, and smart ad strategies with strong partnerships, vendors can build sustainable growth and scale effectively.

FAQ

  1. What’s the most effective way to scale a wedding business in 2025?
A mix of vendor directories, like Style Me Pretty, structured SEO content, and social media strategies that drive inquiries—not just impressions—is proving most effective.
  2. Should vendors focus on directories or social media for growth?
Both matter, but directories typically deliver couples closer to booking, while social media builds awareness. The best results come from using them together.
  3. How do I know if my marketing spend is paying off?
Track where your inquiries originate through Google Analytics, directory dashboards, or CRM tools. If a platform consistently generates inquiries that turn into bookings, it’s worth scaling.
  4. What common mistakes keep wedding vendors from scaling?
Not updating profiles, relying only on word of mouth, boosting posts without strategy, and creating content that doesn’t directly answer couples’ questions are the most common pitfalls.

After trying on “dress after dress,” the bride knew she had found the one when she saw this beautiful gown. It is the Lilibet Strapless Wedding Gown from Wtoo by Watters. That same day, she also came across the most perfect, simple after-party dress – the Reed Sleeveless Back-Bow Mini Dress by Sachin & Babi. For the veil, the bride always knew she wanted this exact veil by Lihi Hod – and she found it at NWLA Bridal in Santa Monica. That same day, she spotted the Dalgownnn, also by Lihi Hod, for the welcome dinner. The shoes were Amina Muaddi heels on the wedding day and Badgley Mischka platforms for the welcome dinner and after party.

A Blue-Hued Waterfront Wedding in Honor of the Bride’s Sister

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The entire wedding is themed blue for the Bride’s sister’s love of blue. She wanted to honor her the best they could since she was not present.

All of the details & decor have nearly all been created & designed by the bride. She says, “I am such a detail-oriented person, and I attempted to DIY as much as I could to make our vision come to life!” “We felt the venue was a representation of who we are and what we love…the water, sunsets, views, and giving our guests that same experience.” To keep guests entertained and immersed in the outdoor celebration, they included custom yard games that brought a playful spirit to the event. A personalized cornhole board featured the couple’s custom crest, while a nautical rope tic-tac-toe set added charm and whimsy to the lawn. For the escort display, the bride wanted to lean into the groom’s love for golf by creating a unique “Let’s Par-tee” seating chart using real golf balls and tees. It was a fun and personal nod to his favorite hobby, while the crisp white and soft blue tones ensured it tied seamlessly into the wedding’s overall design.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From the bride: Our engagement story actually started a week before it happened. Nick had secretly brought the ring with him all the way to Jamaica, where we were vacationing with friends and colleagues. He carried it in his backpack the entire trip—completely unnoticed by me! As romantic as that setting might sound, he knew the timing wasn’t quite right and wanted something more personal, more “us.” Fast forward to April 28, 2023—a rainy spring day in Cleveland. Nick suggested a walk through the Cleveland Botanical Garden, and even though the weather wasn’t ideal, I was just happy to be surrounded by blooming flowers, one of my favorite things. We wandered under an umbrella, me completely oblivious to what was about to happen. Eventually, he found the perfect, quiet spot under a tree next to a peaceful pond. He began talking about Arbor Day and how it was the perfect time to plant our own roots and grow our family. Then, he got down on one knee. It was private, meaningful, and absolutely perfect. To celebrate, we headed downtown—Nick had booked a room at the Hilton overlooking Browns Stadium (he knows my love for Cleveland runs deep), and we ended the night with a romantic dinner in the city. It was the perfect blend of thoughtfulness, surprise, and love—and a day I’ll never forget.

Hors d’Oeuvres were: Garlic paprika chicken skewers, Mushroom potstickers, and Mini beef Wellingtons. Dinner stations included Italian pasta, Thai curry, raw seafood, and a carving station. Something perfect for everyone! Signature Cocktail – The bride and groom’s signature cocktails were The Phoebe: an Aperol Spritz, and The Ross: an old-fashioned. Late Night Food truck was provided for guests (sliders & fries) – one of their favorite meals.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Ashley and Nicholas’s wedding was a picture of timeless charm with a fresh, coastal twist. Held beneath a sweeping white tent on the lake, the reception exuded classic elegance with crisp white linens, gold chiavari chairs, and garden-inspired arrangements that felt both polished and delightfully relaxed. The florals were a dreamy reflection of the setting—very garden on the lake—with hints of light blue delphinium and shocking blue hydrangeas nestled among white hydrangeas, campanula, polo roses, and spires of white veronica, all surrounded by luscious ferns. Ferns also cascaded from overhead, paired with delicate string lights that added a twinkle of romance, while chinoiserie-inspired details tied the look together with an effortlessly preppy flair.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The cake, perched on a vintage navy sideboard, was a showstopper, adorned with a cascade of coordinating blooms and a custom crest that echoed the wedding’s stationery. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated, creating a celebration that was both refined and joyfully full of personality.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

At the Ceremony, Radiant Strings played special music. For the groomsmen, a Top Gun Song (Nick is a former Scout Sniper from the Marines who fought in 9/11), the Bride’s song is a rendition of Canon and Ocean’s (one of her favorite Christian songs). A reading during the ceremony was given by the Bride’s brother, Michael, in honor and memory of their sister, Alexa, and the Groom’s mom, Nancy.

[/field]

Ceremony Details: They had champagne passed out with edible tokens with their initials, fans with their name & date, and programs with a small tribute to their loved ones who weren’t present.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Cocktail hour special details included Yard Games like tic tac toe (N&A style), custom corn hole boards with their monogram, with custom frosted cups with monogram, custom cocktail napkins with one of their Dogs, signature cocktail signs (The Phoebe – Bride’s drink is her sister’s dog that they adopted after she passed away) and Ross (their cat). The Bride’s sister loved Friends, so Phoebe and Ross are a small tribute to her again. -Seating chair, golf themed. Nick was a member at LSCC for years, and the majority of his GMs are all golfers. Bride also grew up golfing with her dad and brothers, so she felt it was a very cute tie-in and perfect for the venue.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Reception details include a custom dance choreographed by Julie Bartoo. It’s Sky Full of Stars which is a song they love, coming from the movie Sing 2 which Nick is obsessed with, he loves watching singing / dancing shows and then a country song, Never Til Now, which seemed to resonate strongly with both of them and then back to fun / dancing involving their whole wedding party!

A Chic Tapestry of Candy-Colored Florals and Farm-to-Table Elegance at Vermont’s OQ Farm

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Breaking from traditional color choices, the bride wanted “a variety of mismatched wildflower colors” to bring out the beauty of a Vermont summer and create a joyful parade of organic brilliance throughout the day.

From the Planner, Lindsey Leichthammer: “Madison + Joe’s theme was ‘Wildflowers in Vermont,’ but make it chic. They chose to have their destination wedding in the Green Mountains, as their family has a home in Woodstock and many fond memories of the summers here. We carried the woodsy farm-to-table theme through the event with heirloom tomato martinis, a completely wood-fired meal, moss elements, and colorful floral.”

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From the Bride: “Joe and I met at Colgate University in August of 2014 in the doorway of my freshman year room on a rainy move-in day. Our first date was eating slices of pizza and mozzarella sticks at our local college pizza shop, and now we have been together for over 10 years!! Joe proposed on April 8, 202,3, at the George Wright Memorial in the Boston Public Garden with an art deco-inspired ring that was custom-designed with a jeweler in Boston.”

Heirloom Fire is a true culinary experience for all five senses. Sourcing from the surrounding fields and pastures of The Berkshires and Hudson Valley, Heirloom Fire provides all main food cooked over flame on site. Madison and Joe’s wedding feast consisted of flame-cooked beef, fish, and chicken, along with fresh local vegetables, and was presented on wooden platters with potatoes, risotto, and so much more. Guests were treated to hand-spun lavender cotton candy on their way from cocktail hour to the reception tent. Specialty cocktails also incorporated the arm-to-table theme. They were: OQ Martini (Vodka, tomato water, cucumber, olive), Regal Cooper Spritz (Aperol, Campari, Cava, strawberry, basil), Woodstock (Bourbon, Vermont Vermouth ‘Boreas’, Luxardo cherry), and Mt. Ascutney Spritz (Verjus Blanc, lemon, mint, orange flower water, tonic).

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Floral design took center stage in all decor. Clayton Floral’s goal was to create a whimsical and colorful backdrop to the entire day using lush wildflower-inspired florals rich in color and texture with bright summer hues. For the ceremony, “Growing Garden” style arrangements were placed along each row of a meandering aisle and an expansive floral huppah archway at the end.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a 4-tier Brown Sugar Maple with vintage ruffles, buttercream flower piping. Madison & Joe’s wedding crest, designed by K Kelly Designs, was recreated on the 2nd tier down.[/field]

Their multicultural ceremony blended the Catholic and Jewish faiths, having both a deacon and a rabbi officiate together.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Madison’s grandparents are avid dinner party hosts and patrons of the arts in Philadelphia + Naples. The bride chose gilded glassware, Oscar De La Renta plates, terracotta chargers, and mother-of-pearl flatware from her grandmother’s personal collection. All of these items were carefully transported from Philadelphia to Vermont for their wedding weekend.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

From the Bride, “the rain came in as if a guest. Just as cocktail hour was ending, the skies opened up and it created a natural, parasol-covered procession to the reception tent.”

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

As a surprise to the groom, the bride planned a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through the meadows after cocktail hour, which then delivered them to the tent for their grand introduction as husband and wife.

A Tropical Garden Party Wedding at the Bride’s Family Waterfront Home

In January 2020, Cole moved to Manhattan’s Upper West Side, while Kick was living in the West Village. Although proximity was on their side, the pandemic sent Kick back home to Florida. Two years later, they met at the wedding of Cole’s cousin, who happened to be Kick’s childhood friend. Cole was instantly captivated by Kick’s beauty, while she was amused by Cole’s retro ’70s charm. Despite their collegiate rivalry, Kick a Georgia Bulldog, Cole a Florida Gator, the two bonded that evening and left thinking only of each other. They met again the following day, curious to see if there was more to the spark. There was. Their connection went beyond chemistry—they shared the same faith, values, and outlook on life. Cole quickly realized he needed to pursue her. A long-distance relationship followed, built on phone calls, FaceTime, and frequent flyer miles. One year later, Kick moved back to New York, and life together began in earnest. From concerts and sporting events to church, travel, and yoga, they quickly realized all their favorite things were better done together.

Ellie’s floral designs blended organic elegance with tropical color, while orchids hand-tied by the Mother of the Bride and her best friend added a sentimental and sculptural layer to the landscape. Ikebana-style arrangements allowed guests to see each other through lush floral landscapes, and potted plants echoed Kick’s love of gardening. Ellie sourced Sandersonia aurantiaca—delicate orange bell flowers—that added a whimsical, unexpected charm to the design. Finishing touches like spiraled orange peels and overflowing bushels of grapes brought a sense of abundance and playfulness, grounding the ethereal florals with tactile, edible beauty.

Kick launched Studio Kick in 2023 and took on the challenge of designing her own wedding stationery. A meticulous artist, she included subtle personal details throughout. The invitation gatefold featured painted constellations representing the couple’s astrological signs. Programs showed a bamboo cross entwined with vines, a homage to the church steeple’s stained glass verse: “I am the vine; you are the branches.” After a year of painting, editing, and collaborating with printers TPI Solutions and Arzbergers, every piece, from Save the Dates to the dance floor wrap, reflected Kick’s personal touch.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Kick’s best friend, Olivia Massie, founder of textile studio Maison Venu, played a pivotal
role in the wedding’s design. A fellow art school graduate, Olivia created the
custom-colored linens that defined the event. Cocktail tables, dinner tables, and even the
band’s backdrop were adorned with her vibrant Tuileries pattern in two colorways:
pink/orange and blue/green. Floor-length and vivid, the linens brought joy and vibrancy
to every corner.[/field]

The clear-top Orangerie tent was a showstopper. It stretched across the full width of the backyard, nestled among towering oaks and palms, with the sunset sky casting a golden glow above. The concept was first suggested by Nick at Regency Party Rentals, who not only envisioned the structure but ensured every detail was flawlessly executed. The result was immersive and magical, an unforgettable atmosphere that words can only partially capture.

This beautifully styled tablescape exudes a warm, romantic elegance, perfectly suited for its breathtaking setting in Cabo, right by the water. Garden roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, spray roses, sweet peas, and scabiosa come together in loose, organic clusters, evoking the feel of a seaside garden in full bloom. Subtle greenery adds texture without overpowering the delicate aesthetic. The decor complements the florals with rich terracotta linens that mirror the earthy tones of the Baja landscape, and plates featuring a green laurel motif that nod to nature’s elegance. Vintage glass goblets, dark-handled flatware, and wooden chairs with curved backs and soft cushions enhance the relaxed yet elevated coastal vibe. A Timeless Garden Wedding of Soft Florals and Modern Romance at Vibiana

Soft floral shades of lavender, lilac, and peach set the tone for the day with bright vermilion sprinkled in for a modern twist on this timeless color palette. From the garden setting overflowing with whimsical florals in shades of pink to the crisp white of the marble chapel reception, the vision for the day was all about timeless romance. The team employed proportions and asymmetry to give the design a modern twist.

An Italian Countryside Inspired Wedding Among the Blue Ridge Mountains

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Striving for a light palette for her Italian countryside-themed wedding, Noelle chose deep green, sage green, lavender, light pink, light yellow, and peach. Purposefully avoiding any blue so that her mother would shine in her blue dress as Noelle’s something blue.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Noelle and Hunter described their vision to us as “Italian countryside meets Blue Ridge Mountains… but in a wedding” to honor their 7th date, which was a week spent together in Italy! As an art fundraiser, Noelle strategically curated items that made the day feel like a spring day in the Italian countryside, such as the marble statuettes and fine art seating chart. Their al fresco reception alongside the greenhouse brought a whimsical aesthetic that Noelle and Hunter were thrilled to have brought to life by the weather and draping florals from Secret Flowers.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

After moving to Richmond, Hunter proposed in the living room of their apartment. With her degree in art, Noelle had a deep fondness for their apartment, and we captured their engagement session in the space! We took a stroll to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts nearby and captured some imagery of them on their Vespa.

Noelle chose a light, lacy gown from Amsale that she wore a lace shrug over to give her a draping, elegant look. The lace had floral embroidery. She paired a cathedral lace veil with her lace shrug. Her shoes were hand-painted with florals and their initials from Alepel.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

There was no formal wedding party; however, Noelle asked her closest friends to wear colorful or floral outfits to accent her floral vision for the day.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The guests were treated to aperol spritz and a rosemary bourbon sour specialty drinks alongside charcuterie plates with fruits and lemons. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Since the greenhouse was based in a large garden, Noelle didn’t want to overwhelm the aesthetic and chose simple, draping floral arrangements with muted colors of deep green, sage green, lavender, light pink, light yellow, and peach. The al fresco nature of the reception allowed the accent of the Blue Ridge Mountains themselves to serve as a backdrop to the flowing florals.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The “cake” was a tiramisu served on cake stands, which were from Noelle’s paternal grandmother. They spooned out the tiramisu from a large glass serving bowl during their cake-cutting.

To work the Blue Ridge Mountains into their Italian wedding meets blue ridge mountain theme, they hired Small Town Rodeo, a bluegrass and country string band, as their entertainment. The music provided a perfect accent to their overall theme, albeit unexpected!

Their initials were on her shoes, his cuff links, and their wedding bands.

Florals took center stage, curated with a commitment to local and seasonal blooms. Tatiana gave the floral team free rein, resulting in joyful, organic arrangements that paired garden textures with bursts of tropical color. Her bouquet was a lightweight delight of tropical florals and greenery in sun-washed hues. The ceremony arch, partially exposed to showcase its curved wooden frame, was lined with whimsical, modern florals and lush greens that hinted at the island’s natural bounty.

Garden Florals and Golden Backdrops for a Stylish Stockholm Soirée

Soft yellow, marigold, warm orange, cream, muted greens, and gold accents.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Not your typical Stockholm wedding. Emily and Chris brought serious style, infectious energy, and a guest list ready to celebrate hard. The idea was to create something that felt bold but personal, something that embraced the grand, historic beauty of the venues without becoming overly polished or formal. It was elegant but down-to-earth. Gilded walls, garden-inspired florals, flowing champagne, and a packed dance floor. This was a celebration that didn’t take itself too seriously and still managed to feel like an absolute showstopper.

[/field]

Chris popped the question right after a walk with their dog, Axel, in London’s Hyde Park. What seemed like a quiet moment outside Emily’s uncle’s flat turned into a full-blown surprise party inside, complete with friends and family who had flown in from New York just to celebrate. Low-key on the outside, high impact on the inside. Pretty much how these two do everything.

The palette played perfectly matched with the warm floral tones, and the styling let each bridesmaid feel like themselves, just a little more dressed up.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The food at Grand Hôtel Stockholm isn’t just dinner, it’s a whole experience. Guests were treated to a menu inspired by seasonal Nordic flavors, prepared by the award-winning kitchen team behind some of the city’s most iconic dining spots. Each course came out like a small work of art, but never felt fussy. It was the kind of meal that people actually remember, not just because it looked good, but because it brought everyone together in the best way possible.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The florals were garden-inspired with a modern twist. Soft yellow, warm orange, creamy whites, and muted greens came together in arrangements that looked like they could have been gathered from a late summer field. Nothing too tight or overly styled, just texture, movement, and warmth. The ceremony setup was truly something else. Think wild floral meadows brought indoors. The entire altar was framed with sculptural clusters of blooms that felt organic and immersive without being fussy. Then at the reception, the florals took on a more regal presence. A towering floral wall sat behind the head table, and every dinner table featured Renaissance-inspired urns overflowing with fresh blooms. The glow of candlelight reflected off mirrored walls and chandeliers, making everything feel warm and cinematic. The overall design embraced the grandeur of the venue while still feeling like something personal and alive.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Not your typical Swedish wedding. Think royal-level style, 150 guests, and a dance floor that refused to quit. Not France. Not Italy. Stockholm is doing its thing. It’s Stockholm, the capital of Scandinavia, at its absolute best. Not a château in France. Not a Tuscan villa. This is how you do a destination wedding in Sweden. If you think Stockholm weddings are all about understated minimalism and quiet elegance, Emily and Chris had other plans. Their celebration was a love letter to this city, with a twist. A destination wedding that brought 150 guests together for a weekend packed with style, emotion, and serious energy. Think historic grandeur with a modern edge and not a trace of pretense. The atmosphere was effortless from the start, the kind of energy that carried everyone through from ceremony to last dance without missing a beat. The Ceremony: A Dome, A View, and a Petal Toss That Belongs in a Movie Inside Eric Ericsonhallen, a former church with soaring ceilings and views over the water, Emily and Chris saw each other for the first time from opposite ends of the aisle. No distractions. Just the moment. Live music filled the room as they exchanged vows, and when they made their exit, guests showered them in petals. It was one of those rare, cinematic moments that feel completely unplanned but absolutely perfect. The Reception: Gilded Mirrors, Candlelight, and Champagne That Kept Flowing. Dinner was held in Spegelsalen at the Grand Hôtel, a room that looks like it was built for champagne toasts and long, laughter-filled speeches. Candlelit tables. Crystal chandeliers. Gold-framed everything. But it never felt overdone. It was elegant in a way that invited people in, not made them sit up straighter. The kind of evening where no one checked their phone because real life was better than anything on a screen. The Party: A Masterclass in ‘You Had to Be There’ Once the music started, it never stopped. A live band followed by a DJ. A packed dance floor from the first song to the last. Shoes came off. Ties disappeared. Champagne kept making the rounds. By midnight, it felt like part concert, part celebration, part something you wish you could bottle and replay forever. Some weddings are beautiful. Some are fun. This one was both. And then some.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The seating chart was an absolute showstopper. Designed in the shape of the Grand Hôtel venue itself, it featured custom schnapps shots with each guest’s name and table number. It wasn’t just clever, it was interactive, surprising, and instantly got people talking. No one missed finding their seat, because who’s skipping free schnapps?

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The drink menus were tennis-themed and totally original. Crafted to reflect Chris’s background and their shared sense of humor. It was one of those details people noticed immediately and kept snapping photos of all night.[/field]

Interior-Inspired Tablescapes and Soft Florals at Cielo Farms

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

[from the bride] We wanted to host a wedding that felt like an intimate dinner party with our nearest and dearest. A lot of our inspiration was taken from interior design photos and cozy tablescapes. Our wedding planner, Jacqueline, did an amazing job helping us understand our own vision and helped us sprinkle in unique elements to our classic wedding. Choosing Cielo Farms to be our venue was the first amazing decision Matt and I made together—the venue allowed us to enjoy an outdoor wedding where we could really appreciate the beautiful Malibu mountains. For florals, we used soft, bloomy pinks and white flowers.

A Circular Arch of Love Amid Citrus and Summer Color on Lake Maggiore

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

A romantic palette of warm, joyful tones, including shades of raspberry pink, coral, soft peach, cream, and touches of golden yellow. The colors were intentionally chosen to reflect the warmth and vibrancy of summer, while adding bold character to the overall design.

Alice and Marco dreamed of a wedding that felt both elegant and modern, an intimate celebration filled with beauty, generosity, and personal meaning. We broke free from the traditional “all white” aesthetic, embracing rich summer hues that felt warm and joyful, yet elevated. The venue, nestled in the lush landscape of Stresa on Lake Maggiore, inspired details like fresh lemons, apricots, and pears on the tables, a nod to the citrus trees surrounding the villa. Every design element reflected their refined, heartfelt style: custom table linens with a delicate green floral-and-bird motif, chandeliers dripping with greenery, hand-placed pearls nestled into orchids, and name cards individually adorned with delicate embellishments. The floral arch, circular and embracing, represented love and togetherness. This was a celebration of love in its purest form — intimate, intentional, and absolutely unforgettable.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

It was November 10, 2022. Marco had expressed a desire to spend some time with Alice in their favorite city, so he organized a quick trip to the beautiful Verona. She had a hunch something might be up – five years together, Verona, and him planning everything himself! They were staying in the courtyard of Juliet’s House. As they walked to their dinner reservation, Marco stopped right in front of the Arena. His “excuse” was to take a photo of them at night, with the Arena as their backdrop. He searched among the passersby for the perfect person to take the picture and found two girls. After a brief, hushed exchange, the intended photo transformed into a video. It became the video memory of their marriage proposal: a visibly emotional and nervous young man kneeling before an embarrassed, but absolutely overjoyed, young woman, asking her to be his forever.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Food was one of the couple’s top priorities. They are passionate about Italian cuisine and fine dining, so every dish was carefully curated with the help of a refined local catering team. The menu featured exquisite seasonal ingredients and a progression of courses that felt like a journey through flavor — from a sophisticated entrée to a showstopping dessert. As a heartfelt finale, guests were treated to pizzas freshly made on-site — because what better way to say “we love you” than with pizza at midnight?[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design was nothing short of breathtaking — lush, sculptural, and bursting with color. The ceremony took place beneath a large circular platform adorned with a dramatic floral arch that enveloped the couple like a warm embrace. It stood tall and radiant, a sea of summer blooms surrounding it in every direction. The reception, held in a glass greenhouse, featured cascading floral chandeliers and crystal lighting wrapped in greenery. Long tables were transformed into blooming gardens — a floral dreamscape in every shade of pink, peach, and cream. From petal to pattern, every detail was layered with intention and artistry.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake was a delicious multi-tiered creation by the catering team, and it stood on a one-of-a-kind table covered in a handmade tablecloth crafted from hundreds of soft pink embroidered roses — a romantic flourish that turned the cake moment into a visual fairytale. [field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony and cake cutting were brought to life by a string ensemble performing pieces from Bridgerton, one of the couple’s favorite shows. From the processional to the emotional final moments, the live violins added a cinematic layer of romance that felt both timeless and uniquely theirs.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of the most thoughtful and meaningful details was the custom-designed seating chart. Inspired by the couple’s deep appreciation for each of their guests, we created a display made entirely of fortune cookies. Each cookie held a heartfelt message of good fortune—symbolizing how lucky Alice and Marco felt to have every single person present in their lives. It was emotional, personal, and playful all at once.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

As wedding favors, we gifted guests with sculptural candles—each one wrapped in a hand-sewn linen napkin. The fragrance inside was created specifically for Alice and Marco by a talented local artisan, inspired by their love story and favorite scents. It was our way of making sure the magic of their day could linger long after, allowing their friends and family to relive that emotion every time they lit the candle.

With the groom’s Cypriot and Greek heritage and the bride’s Texas roots, the couple aimed to offer their guests high-quality, family-style dining with diverse Greek and Mediterranean flavors. The welcome table invited guests with an authentic Cretan touch, offering an array of the island’s delights. No one could resist the famous “kalitsounia” cheese and spinach pies, a staple of Cretan hospitality, alongside bowls of marinated olives and platters of local cheeses that celebrated the region’s rich dairy traditions. To complete the experience, raki shots added a bold and festive note, creating a warm, convivial start to the evening’s culinary journey. The dinner menu, curated to celebrate the blending of cultures, was a feast of flavors served under the open Cretan sky. Guests savored tender Greek chicken and pork skewers, accompanied by warm pita bread and a vibrant array of classic dips, including tzatziki and hummus. Traditional favorites like moussaka and soutzoukakia delighted the palate, their rich, comforting aromas wafting through the air and offering a true taste of Mediterranean warmth. For dessert, guests enjoyed freshly fried loukoumades and chocolate truffles with the couple’s initials, creating unforgettable sweet memories of the wedding. The drinks menu also featured four signature cocktails served from two wooden, elegant bars. Each cocktail was designed to reflect a personal touch from the couple. “Pavloma,” a captivating mix inspired by the groom’s name and the classic Paloma, offered refreshing citrus notes, and “The Light and Stormy,” a bold yet smooth vodka-based drink. For the bride, “Ali’s G&T,” a delightful gin and tonic infused with berries and rosemary, became an instant favorite. Finally, the “Mastiha Mojito,” a creative spin on the traditional mojito using Greece’s cherished mastiha liqueur, added a unique Mediterranean flair to the bar menu.

The bride envisioned a beautiful wedding aisle adorned with lush greenery and delicate baby’s breath arrangements, complemented by a fully green arch and white, fluffy flowers decorating the ceremonial candles. Above the reception tables, cascades of greenery were elegantly suspended from custom frames, intertwined with festoon lights and lines of hurricane candles, creating a warm and enchanting ambiance in place of traditional centerpieces. To ensure comfort and a seamless flow throughout the event, a cozy lounge area with armchairs and coffee tables was thoughtfully arranged, along with cocktail tables scattered around the bar zone. For the energetic indoor party, the historic olive press building was transformed with disco balls hanging from its arches, adding a lively and glamorous touch to the festivities.

The occasion featured meaningful Greek elements, including lambades (ceremonial candles), stefana (wedding crowns), and a shared glass of red wine with their best man, symbolizing unity and blessings. Guests received booklets explaining the significance of Greek wedding traditions, with the ceremony ending in a joyful shower of rice—an age-old gesture for prosperity in marriage. The ceremony’s ambiance was elevated by a string trio playing timeless classical pieces. As the reception began, the lively notes of a Greek bouzouki set the tone for dancing. Before the DJ took over, attendees were treated to a local rock and pop band performing an international repertoire, ensuring a vibrant and unforgettable celebration.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]After midnight, the celebration shifted to the venue’s historic Old Oil Mill—an atmospheric stone-walled space affectionately dubbed the “Rave Cave.” Designed for the younger crowd, it pulsed with energy as a Miami-based DJ spun cutting-edge beats deep into the night. How to Include Kids In Your Wedding

Whether you have your own kids or want to include your favorite niece or nephew in the big day, we are often subject to making them the flower girl and ring bearer. But for those that may have more than one child to include, want something a bit different, or simply need other ideas, here are some great other ways to include your favorite kids on your wedding day.

Include them in the Planning Process
If you have a kid of your own, the wedding can be a weird day for them. Instead of worrying about any mixed emotions they may be having, include them from day one. This can mean giving them little jobs to do throughout or trusting them with a project, such as DIY favors or stuffing envelopes (of course, this depends on their age!). They will feel proud for helping and it can even be a big help for you!

Ask them to Lead the Procession
If you have too many kids included in your wedding, ask a few of them to be the leaders of the procession. Before the flower girl walks down the aisle, have them come down first, holding cute signs that say “she’s almost here!” or cheeky ones that read “too late to run now!” It’s a cute, simple addition to the ceremony that will have the kids feeling super special.

Plan Special Pictures
You’re going to be taking a ton of pictures on the big day, so why not add a few more specifically for the special little ones in your life? Ask your photographer to take a few of just you and the kids, bring a few props, and make it seem like a mini photo shoot (that will only take 5 minutes!). Not only will the kids feel important, but you’ll have those photos to remember forever. You can even gift each kid with a framed photo from the shoot once you get the images back.

Have them Join the Cake Cutting
The cake cutting is a fun part of the reception that even the kids love to pay attention to. Ask the little ones in your life to join you for this special moment and explain that only the best guests get to do the cutting. Offer them the first slices, too, because what kid (and adult, for that matter) doesn’t love cake?!

Create a Dance Together
If you really want to do something extra special, consider going a step further and choreographing a dance with them. This is something you can do together throughout the entire planning process and when you bust out your moves at the reception, we promise it will be a hit with all your guests—and a memory to last a lifetime.

Kate & David hosted a chic Southwest Florida soiree that reflected their love for Naples. The blue from the Gulf of Mexico inspired the colors of the flowers and linens. To enhance the ballroom and make it more celebratory, we had a custom-built stage backdrop, adorned the ceiling with white paper lanterns, and greenery. We dressed the dance floor in a light blue and white checkerboard pattern. Touches of open cane webbing were present on the arched escort card wall and the table numbers. Small details like the patterned chargers, napkin folds, and tabletop rattan scallop-edgedamps on the wedding party table completed the look.

A Mother and Daughter Designed Wedding on Cayuga Lake in Aurora

[section title=”The Planning”]

Whites and greens and the backdrop of Cayuga Lake helped play into the color palette.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our celebration took place at Natalie’s family home in the picturesque village of Aurora, NY, overlooking the serene Cayuga Lake. Each morning before work, Natalie would call her mom to catch up on all things wedding-related – “Planning everything together was such a joy. I’ve always been told I’m my mom’s mini-me, and it was so special to combine our creativity and bring Nick’s and my vision to life.”

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

This location holds a special place in our hearts—not only is it where the groom was raised and where we first met nine years ago, but it’s also where we got engaged, making it the ideal setting for our special day. PROPOSAL STORY One weekend in late February, Natalie and Nick were visiting her family’s home in Aurora, NY. On Saturday morning, as everyone was getting ready for brunch with Natalie’s grandparents, her mom suggested that she and Nick head down to the Inn to hold the reservation — her sisters, she said, were taking forever to get ready. It was a line Natalie had heard plenty of times before, but this time, it turned out to be an excuse to get her and Nick out of the house alone. They drove toward the Inns, but instead of stopping, Nick passed right by the restaurant and pulled into a nearby parking lot. Natalie pointed it out — “You missed it!” — but Nick just smiled and said, “They can wait for us. I thought it would be nice to go for a walk and see the property.” Nick led her to a quiet, snowy spot overlooking the lake, behind one of the Inns. Natalie started to get a feeling that something was about to happen — and she was right. Nick got down on one knee and proposed. Natalie immediately jumped up and down and said, “Yes!” They warmed up afterward inside the Inns, sharing champagne by the crackling fireplace, savoring the first quiet moments of their engagement before returning to her family’s home, where both their families were waiting to celebrate. It was a moment Natalie had dreamed of so many times, wondering when and where it would happen — and it couldn’t have been more perfect: simple, intimate, and full of love!

As soon as Natalie tried on the Oscar de la Renta gown, she knew it was the one. The off-the-shoulder drape gave an elegance to the ceremony, and when removed, an ease of movement for dancing. Natalie wore a vintage Oscar de la Renta slip while getting ready day-of – her something old – and also wore the earrings her older sister, Alina, wore to her wedding, also in Aurora, a few years prior – her something borrowed.

Bridesmaids were invited to select a patterned gown with green as a primary focus. The resulting texture added depth to the well-designed day.

Catering was done by Root, which focuses on innovative menu plans based on local seasonal harvests and ingredients sourced whenever possible from regional farmers and purveyors. Natalie and Nick reside in Old Town Alexandria, VA, and incorporated some pieces of home, as well, including one of the specialty drinks from one of their favorite local bars, “Old Hat.” Finally, guests received gift boxes with the bride’s favorite chocolate caramels from the DC area, close to where we live, and the groom’s mom’s homemade Chex Mix.

We chose September for our wedding to celebrate the bride’s love for dahlias, which were in full bloom and added vibrant color to the day. A particularly special dahlia named “Sweet Natalie” was used throughout the event, perfectly capturing the essence of the occasion. One of the most impressive things about our florals was that Margaux, our florist, moved the 10 arches from the church to our backyard! Thankfully, it was just down the block, but impressive nonetheless.

We decided to go with a simple and classic shape, doing four tiers with white buttercream and chocolate cake done by The Love Bean. When we cut it, we couldn’t help but go back for more.

The most special serenade happened for our father-daughter dance – when Natalie’s brother-in-law sang Sinatra.

Natalie’s parents dedicated countless hours to ensuring that the house and lawn were in pristine condition. Natalie often joked that it felt like a real-life version of “Father of the Bride,” with her dad stepping into the role of Steve Martin. Their dedication truly set the stage for a memorable celebration. Not only was the backyard re-lanscaped (no swans, however), but multiple items were built, upholstered, and created for the weekend. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect our personalities, with almost every family member contributing. A standout feature was the custom-built bar, a project led by the bride’s father with support from the groom. They bonded over that project.

To honor our engagement in Aurora, we designed custom matchboxes featuring an image of that special moment. These matchboxes served as keepsakes for our guests and a reminder of why Aurora was the perfect place for us to say “I do.”

The mother of the bride, Yvonne, played a crucial role in the design, crafting all the tablecloths and cushions from elegant Schumacher fabric. Her experience in the world of interiors was so helpful. Her work perfectly matched the wallpaper on the custom bartop and champagne wall, and she also monogrammed each wedding napkin with our crest. (Each one took an hour; thankfully, our guest list was under 100). Natalie also created a custom needlepoint pillow with our wedding crest, adding a personal touch that we will cherish for years to come.
