Anna Wu, can we be friends? You seriously have some of the coolest birthday celebrations. Let's take a walk down memory lane in case you've missed her previous shindigs... Moody and Gorgeous 30th, Spoon Carving Fete. So good, right? And this green thumb inspired party is no exception. Featuring a potting station, a painting corner, yummy bites including the cutest little cactus macarons by La Chinoiserie and a sparkler ending, this truly is the best way to celebrate another year.
Throwing creative birthday parties for myself has become something of a tradition in the last few years. And since my birthday is in January, it’s also a wonderful way to kick off the new year with a little celebration. This year I was inspired by two of my newfound hobbies from 2017: plants and painting. I sourced a bunch of fantastic house plants, got a bunch of terra cotta pots, and invited my friends to select a plant, decorate their own pot, and take it home. It was so adorable and such a joy to see everyone’s creations! The whole setup came together beautifully. Thank you to Bowerbird Atelier for the signage, La Chinoiserie for the tasty treats, and Julia’s Cake Stand Rentals for the pink cake stands. I particularly loved the cactus macarons and the name flags that guests could use to literally stake their claim in their plants.
