Welcoming guests for a weekend filled with celebrating, this couple did it up with a chic tropical party infused with that iconic banana leaf print we know and love. It served as a fun nod to their upcoming wedding at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and played perfectly with the bright backdrop of The Lombardi House. Chic Celebrations and JL Designs carried that idea of vacay glam throughout the celebration with white blooms and tropical greens, the perfect conversation spots and warm weather treats. As the welcome party for the wedding weekend of the brother of Be Inspired PR's Leila Lewis, we pulled out all of the stops to pay homage to the couple's love for LA. The couple wanted their guests to experience Hollywood – later that weekend, their wedding took place at the world famous Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel!
Lombardi House is a fully restored Victorian-style farmhouse in the heart of Hollywood. It is full of charm, and we wanted to bring that to their welcome party. We stayed with a neutral but bold palette of black, white, and green. The iconic banana leaf print and black and white stripe combo was PERFECT. It added so much personality!
Circa Rentals had the perfect lounges that managed to both stand out so brilliantly yet blend into the space like they were built to be there. In lieu of a photo booth, we created a selfie station with a black peacock chair, and Carissa of JL Designs made it a floral masterpiece. Guests LOVED it!
There were so many things for guests to enjoy – a popsicle stand, fresh rolled cigars, One Hope wines – but the couple's personality was present in every detail. The groom's sister surprised the couple with an “heirloom display” – a shelf filled with candles, flowers, and family wedding photos from both sides of their families.
Seeing their parents and siblings on their wedding days as they were about to be married themselves was so special to the couple. The details and custom touches all came together and celebrated the couple perfectly.
