Baby ShowerPregnancy + BabyParty
You know what we love to the moon and back? An insanely cute theme like this galaxy inspired shower crafted by Shannon Claire and Ida Rose Events. It's infused with stars, a planetary color scheme, and one wildly good looking marbled cake by Buttercream Bakeshop. Pore through the full celebration captured by Reema Desai right here. And on a completely random but very necessary side note... tell me you aren't falling hard for that neon chandelier.

From Laura Held, of Ida Rose Events... When our incredibly talented friend Shannon Smith of Shannon Claire interiors, approached us about collaborating on a galaxy inspired baby shower, we jumped at the chance to be a part of such a cool concept. Right away it was determined that while the event would be pretty and sweet, it would also be edgy and interesting with lots of contrast. Our design called for a layered formula of neutrals, navy, copper, silver, and gold, with pops of plum and burnt orange punctuating the planetary color scheme. We used marble, hammered metal, and earthy elements to create a textured and playful style throughout the space. The new Bureau in DC proved to be the perfect venue to host this unique baby shower!

The tablescape was "out of this world" cool. Mixed metals, neutral mattes, crystal and soft black shimmer served as a beautiful base for marble place cards, an epic white and navy swirl centerpiece platter, and colorful, ethereal flowers. An impeccably styled Moon Juice bar cart station served up monochromatic juice cocktails, topped with moon ice cubes. The refreshments table overflowed with charcuterie and fresh fruit and featured delicious navy macarons with copper splatter and a navy, black, white and copper marble cake. We added a glittering silver cake topper, touches of modern acrylic, mixed metals and whimsical florals to complete the stunning food and dessert spread.

The celestial, night sky Minted invitation suite, and a handmade I love you to the moon and back sign were the perfect themed details. Even the fire place was decked out with hand painted planets, candles and a truly luscious greenery arch to take the design to the next level. The mama-to-be, La Shae Bialkoski, wore a gorgeous navy sequin and tulle dress, and looked appropriately goddess like. La Shae’s adorable daughter joined her for sweet family moments, and the loving smiles shared between them showed that a mother’s love can cross a universe and fill a galaxy with stars.
