We're officially naming Janna Brown the Queen of Well Styled Vignettes. There are a billion of them tucked inside this gorgeous home. It's a space that speaks to her traveling spirit, her eye for design and styling and her love of the classics. Honestly, there isn't a single corner of this space we don't completely adore. "She was an adventurer at heart; but oh how she loved drinking this tea from this mug in this chair. Oh how she loved to be home."
As a destination florist and stylist, I spend a great deal of time away from home, yet rather than neglecting this space, I find that I pour a great deal of energy into making it a serene sanctuary. Traveling is a craving that I have, but oh, how I love the comfort of my home.
I am a lover of grand pieces, natural woods, soft linens and creamy tones. I revel in the magic of unique one-of-a-kind pieces, like my oil paintings collected from Savannah and New Orleans, and the Mora clock that my father restored, that dates back to the 1700's.
My treasured pieces include hand written framed letters from my ninety-three year old grandmother, dried flora from the fields of Provence, tiny photographs of my grandfather in his youth posing by the Eiffel Tower, and tattered books I purchased in Africa. My wardrobe holds three generations of wedding gowns, and some of my favorite garments that have traveled with me on my adventures. Over the years, I have learned to collect things with a purpose, pieces that tell a story. Isn't that the beauty of one's home? The small details that make it unique, that's what holds the magic!
