Summer parties are some of the best you'll have all year and with the season coming to a close (tear!) squeeze in one last hoorah filled with good friends, good cocktails and a pool if you're lucky. This is a how-to for leaving summer with a bright, happy, festive bang thanks to the ladies of BURKE | Design + Planning along with the prettiest images by Alea Moore Photography. Psst, see the full shoot right here.
A Summer Sendoff is a bright, bold and vivacious style shoot designed to embody the celebration of the end of summer. Taking place appropriately poolside, this party celebrates beating the heat with a crisp cocktail, your go-to gal pal and an outfit that matches your mood!
Summertime in Georgia can get hotter than hot, but that heat inspires taking the time to sit back, dip your toes in the pool and enjoy the company of those around you! Originally inspired by the gorgeous boxwood wall that sprawled over 15 feet tall, it was the bright yellow, orange and pink citrus hues of traditional summer fun that tied this shoot together.
The reoccurring theme of citrus, contrasted with the lush floral design and modern acrylic accents , provided the perfect setting for a summertime gathering with girlfriends. My favorite part of this shoot was breaking away from neutrals (which I love!) and playing with a fun and unique color palette.
I'm always looking for unique pieces to incorporate into design and the bright yellow table, contrasted perfectly with the bold and beautiful floral arrangement designed by Bloomin' Bouquets.
One of the most rewarding parts of designing a shoot like this, is getting to work with talented creatives who, once given a direction, feel empowered to run with their creativity and create and produce elements that highlight the overall vision.
