How To Throw the Perfect Summer Brunch for Your Girls
August 11, 2016
Summer is my favorite for sooo many reasons. The happy hues all around, beach days and seasonal scents that induce a smile. But quite possibly one of the best things these warm days bring? The endless party possibilities, like this sun-kissed brunch from Dyan Kethley PhotographySilver Lining Events + Co.Kara Stout and Blue and Tan Events that is absolutely exploding with color. Think bridal or baby showers, Sunday fundays and birthday celebrations—every pin-worthy bit is waiting in The Vault!
From Dyan Kethley Photography... Last summer some local wedding friendors and I got together and created a bridesmaid brunch with a unique, healthy spin to honor one of our fashion-blogger friends, Katey McFarlan of Chronicles of Frivolity, who recently married her prince charming. So often we've found ourselves attending wedding party festivities with extremely yummy foods and drinks, however all of the celebrating can quickly become dangerous for the waistline (and fitting into that bridesmaid dress). At this party, we wanted to create a fun and fresh summer atmosphere with the same style of delicious foods one might find at a brunch, just with an easy to do, organic and health-conscious approach. The shoot was filled with beautiful summer colors, delicious foods and drinks, and of course some southern charm!
We chose a very bright, summery color palette in designing the invitation suite, florals, and details while keeping a neutral palette for the furniture and rentals. In keeping with the fresh and clean approach, we incorporated citrus fruits such as limes, lemons, oranges, and kumquats into centerpieces and place settings. The floral chandelier was a true highlight and made the table for our bride and her guests all the more stunning and inviting!
A fabulous group of women, fun and festive details that we all love so much, and our amazing brunch spread made for the perfect way to shower one of our favorite brides!
