The social calendar is booking up for Summer weddings and a great way to get the most mileage out of this season's party dress is changing up your go-to hairstyle and accessories. Killer dress, braided bun and your favorite heels. Shhh, you totally know my summer wedding playbook now. Get the skinny on this easy braided updo from Face Time Beauty + Judy Pak and prepare to be the bell of the ball.

Start with hair brushed out really well and all ends detangled (this will make braiding MUCH easier).

Create two ponytails. One on top and one on bottom.

Pick a pony to start with and either create a regular braid or fishtail braid (shone here).

Braid all the way down and secure with an elastic (the tighter the braid is, the more “intricate" the undo will look.) To modernize and texturize, pull braid from a small section at ends of hair and push elastic up so it “scrunches" the braid.

Repeat this on the top braid so you have 2 secured, “scrunched” braids.

Take the top braid and fold so the ends of the hair go under and then pull to pop out a little thru top of head right in front of the elastic and secure with a bobby pin.

Take bottom braid and wrap it around the folded top braid and secure wherever needed.

Let hair fall into place and separate braids apart as desired (the more separation, the less structured the undo will feel.).
