Lauren Nelson has mastered the essence of Montauk chic. Not sure what that style entails? Take a quick peep at her fab new bedroom re-design and you'll be schooled in the art of beachside cool. She didn't let the fact that her small city apartment is in the middle of NYC stop her from evoking the calm of the ocean. With a smart paint choice and crisp linens at the ready, this room is the perfect urban oasis.
From Lauren... When I first started thinking about my re-design, I knew I wanted my bedroom to capture my evolving east coast style. Let's just say, I wanted a whole lot of blue and white mixed with Montauk inspired prints. To set the tone of my bedroom, I decided on Behr paint's Blue Me Away
I opted for classic navy and white border frame bedding from Pottery Barn with monogrammed pillows from the Zhush as well as navy and white striped pillows from Society Social. I love a layered bed to say the least!
Last but not least, I knew I wanted to create a work space and have it double as my nightstand. I went with West Elm's Mini Mid-Century desk in white. If there's one thing I have learned about New York City living is that you need to make every inch count!
