DIY Summer Floral Wreath

Christmastime isn't for another six months, but that doesn't mean you have to forgo winter's (second) favorite piece of botanical decor: a wreath! Crafted out of summery greens and blossoms, this wreath, from Becca Olcott of Petal Floral Design, proves that a warm-weather wreath can be just as seasonally apropos as its winter counterpart.


DIY Floral Wreath



  • Wire

  • Wire Cutters

  • Loose Greenery

  • Florals or Berry Sprigs (optional)

  • Floral Tape


step-1Create a wreath shape with your wire for the base. Use about three layers of wire, and twist it to form a solid foundation.
step-2Insert a piece of greenery into one of the gaps in the wire base, and tuck in the top on the other side of the base. Then peel off the liner.
step-1Keep adding greenery to the base as desired. Use floral tape where needed.
step-1With floral tape, add in any florals as desired.
step-1For a finishing touch, add in a ribbon to hang the wreath.With floral tape, add in any florals as desired.
