Mini Guide to Los Angeles
June 15, 2015
The land of palm trees, sunny skies and endless beaches - it's hard not to love Los Angeles. A city unlike any other with it's unique neighborhoods, yummy food and endless sights to be seen, this mini guide from Kate Weinstein Photo has me aching to plan another trip to the Cali. See more from her trip here.
Over Memorial Day weekend last year, my husband and I took a trip to Los Angeles to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Since our trip, I’ve been back to LA to photograph several engagement sessions and a wedding, and I each time I visit I grow to love the city more and more.
We loved Venice! It has a quirky, laid back vibe. We rented bikes on the Venice Boardwalk and biked through Venice and then along the beach to the Santa Monica Pier. For dinner in Venice, we really enjoyed Salt Air.
We also love to visit the Griffith Observatory. It has beautiful views of LA and the Hollywood sign, along with nice hiking trails.
We stayed downtown LA at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The downtown has undergone a revitalization in recent years, and it has a lot of really cool spots. We stopped for an afternoon snack at the Ace Hotel and enjoyed the views from their rooftop.
We also walked along Melrose Avenue to check out the shops and tried to spot some celebs! What a trip to LA without a little celebrity sighting?
