When it came to throwing the ultimate shower, mama-to-be and the purveyor of Unearthed Vintage knew she wanted good food and good bourbon cocktails for her guests to celebrate. The rest? She left it up to her industry friends to throw one heck of a gorgeous party. That team included Earth and SugarJulia Rohde Designs and Katie Lopez Photography and just look at the magic they crafted.

From Katie Blineau, Unearthed Vintage... I thought being in the event industry that I wanted to plan my own baby shower, but as soon as I started to dive in I realized I wanted to be hands off of the process. Luckily we have some great vendor friends who wanted nothing more than to shower us and our baby boy with love. After coming up with the initial concept and design myself, I knew I wanted an intimate gathering of friends and family with good food and good bourbon cocktails, Janderyn from Earth & Sugar took over the planning process.

The day of the shower, our Unearthed Vintage crew set up the warehouse perfectly. A long row of farmhouse tables paired with our metal remington dining chairs, with the tabletop adorned with beautiful florals from Julia Rohde Designs. Two lounges for our guests to sit and enjoy their cocktails that were perfectly poured from the bartender. An appetizer table that was not only styled by Janderyn from Earth & Sugar, but the appetizers were made by her as well. A dessert table that included the most delicious vanilla almond cake with fresh raspberries layers of pistachio butter cream along with mini cupcake favors from Cloud 9 Bakery in her signature pancakes and bacon flavor (one of my many favorites!)

As far as my favorite details, I have two of them. First, Julia Rohde surprised me with a floral crown and two floral wreaths for my furry babies, Riley and Stella (who I didn't even know were attending, but Janderyn had arranged that my husband, Jovan, bring them separately). They were so beautiful I could barely hold back the tears as she was pinning the crown on me. My other favorite detail was something that Janderyn and my husband teamed up to surprise me with. Jovan is a woodworker and builds all of the custom furniture for Unearthed Vintage. Janderyn took that information and ran with it, and had Jovan custom cut our baby boy's first set of blocks from various types and shades of wood. Janderyn then styled the most beautiful table where our guests could choose from different markers and paints to design the first blocks that Sawyer will play with.

The favorite detail of all guests was when Ms. Cheezious pulled up to serve lunch. Even the rain didn't stop anyone from walking up to the truck and ordering the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches.
