Katie from Sweet Annie Floral Design... Spring is finally here, and it’s probably safe to say that everyone, especially those from New England, is ready for warmer, longer, brighter days. There’s no two ways about it…this was a long, tough winter, and if you are anything like us, you are more than ready to open up the windows and welcome spring into your homes.
This idea was inspired by just that-the desire to gather up some beautiful blooms and plants and bring them inside for an in-home styled shoot, hoping to provide you, the everyday gal or guy with some fresh ideas on how to decorate your homes using flowers.
As you can see, just by adding a vase full of brightly colored tulips or insanely vibrant poppies to your decor, you are not only changing the look of the room, but your mood as well…don’t they just scream happiness?!
Other simple and fun ideas include using flowering branches {we used flowering pear branches} or a variety of plants, placed in your favorite vessels mixed in with some of your other favorite décor. Play with varying colors, textures and patterns to create your own personal look.
We also combined some of our favorite spring blooms, such as ranunculus, hellebores, sweet pea, and anemones in floral arrangements, something you could do when hosting friends for a much-needed dinner party or family for spring holidays.

So go ahead and open up the windows, soak up the warmth of the sun, and spread some spring blooms around your home…you won’t be sorry!
