Chic, Kid-Friendly Living Space in Utah

I often find myself bookmarking the pretty details that I come across in the home tours on SMP Living. Things like the perfect idea for toy storage (I so need that!) or a vignette that I must replicate immediately. But this living and dining space designed by House Of Jade Interiors has me favoriting almost every image. It crosses off all the major musts - classic, cozy, livable and boasting some mighty fine barstools. See even more from Jylare Smith here.

Ours clients moved into a beautiful house that already had perfect bones. All they needed were the perfect finishing touches! They had just moved to Utah from Hawaii so we tried to integrate some nautical elements while still remaining true to the landscape of Utah. We didn't want to go too overboard with the beach theme so we added subtle textural elements and lots of blues.

This family has three busy kids so kid-friendly options were a must. We custom designed two bar-stool benches in a great geometric outdoor fabric. The dining table is almost indestructible and the chairs are super easy to wipe clean. Although we used a lighter fabric for the sectional it's a high performance velvet so it performs well with children!

We shopped at Pottery Barn, West Elm, Restoration Hardware, Serena and Lily, T.J. Maxx and Home Goods for most of the items.
