For a few years I was the truffle queen. Each and every party, I whipped up a batch of these delightful little treats to bring to showers, bbq's, you name it. They cover all of my major musts – super easy and insanely good. Plus you'll be likened to Martha Stewart with these in tow. And this white chocolate + lavender version by Lauren Werkheiser Photography is destined to be a total crowd pleaser.
From Lauren Werkheiser Photography... These white chocolate lavender truffles would be so perfect for a bridal shower, wedding dessert or any type of party! Then again, who needs an excuse with something this delicious?! They are so easy to make - I guarantee they'll become something you make over and over again!
Lavender White Chocolate Truffles
|1/2 c. minus 2 tbs. heavy cream||8 oz. white chocolate|
|4 oz. white chocolate||2 tsp. lavender extract|
|1 tbs. culinary lavender|
In a small saucepan over low-medium heat, combine heavy cream, 8 oz. white chocolate and lavender extract. Stir until completely melted.
Transfer into a bowl and refrigerate overnight.
The next day, scoop out 1 tsp. balls and set on a sheet of parchment paper.
Melt the 4 oz. of white chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Let it cool about two minutes.
With a spoon, drizzle generous spoonfuls onto truffles so it covers it entirely. Sprinkle each truffle with buds of culinary lavender.
Using a toothpick, scrape away excess chocolate coating and let it harden a couple of hours.
