Lake Como Mini Guide
July 24, 2014
It has officially been 3 months, 1 week and 2 days since my last trip - not that I'm counting. And though that is basically nothing in the grand scheme of things, it feels like eons for a travel nut like myself. So putting together this Lake Como mini-guide with Claire Graham has been a massive tease! It certainly doesn't help when the place is this dreamy. So let's pretend we're all there alongside her.

WHERE TO EAT: Trafforia San Ciacomo. A small restaurant that we found in the back streets, it had amazing service and delicious food. Arrive there early though as it gets very busy with people happy to queue for a table!
WHAT TO EAT: Lets face it, what isn’t good to eat in Italy!? So it goes without saying - any pasta dish, pizza, fish and one of my favourites a caprese salad.
MUST SEE: There really is lots to see, so I would recommend getting a boat pass and jumping from one town to another!
WHERE TO STAY: We stayed at the amazing 5 star Grand Hotel Villa Servelloni in Bellagio. The service was outstanding and the staff were so friendly. The hotel sits on the lake so along with its pretty gardens it offers beautiful views.
WHAT TO WEAR: We mostly dressed smart/casual day and evening. It gets very hot though, so make sure you pack your shorts, skirt or dress!
MUSN'T MISS: You can book a boat journey from Bellagio to Como, its a two hour journey but you get to see all the pretty towns along Lake Como. Alternatively you could stay in Bellagio and visit the Giardini Di Villa Melzi. It has beautiful gardens, botanical path and lots of historical and interesting sculptures.
