DIY Fibre Wall Hanging
June 17, 2014
I've been obsessing over the latest weaving trends popping up all over the internet! They come in all kinds of shapes, colors and textures - you really can't go wrong. But for many of us, they can be hard to come by and a bit out of our price range when they do. I decided to make a super simple fibre wall hanging using basic materials, and so can you! For more DIY inspiration, head over to Hello Lidy.
This DIY is so simple - it really makes a fabulous statement on the wall! Have fun with the shapes and sizes of the frame to make larger or smaller wall hangings. Be sure to show us your creations - we would love to see what you come up with!
Cord or Wire
Optional: Leather strips for added texture

step-1Gather your materials and precut your yarn in various lengths.

step-2Wrap your frame with the wire or cord tightly, starting at the top and working your way to the bottom. Secure with tight knots.

step-3Starting at the bottom, simply loop your yarn around the cord and pull through to secure. Continue until bottom row is covered.

step-4Repeat step three until you've reached the top and final cord. Add leather strips or other various texture where you desire. Use your scissors to trim and shape your piece the way you prefer!
