From Allyson at Bob Gail Events...For Katie’s beachside baby shower the design was focused around graphic prints (ikat, chevron, stripes, waves, herringbone, etc.) with a slight nautical undertone ranging in hues of yellows and blues for the mom-to-be pregnant with her baby boy.

The graphic print design was seen throughout the room with the patterned table runner, printed straws with washi tape detail, menu cards that resembled the graphic print invitation, party favor mini notebooks with stripe and polka dot pens. The graphic print mini notebooks served a dual purpose as the surprise custom baby shower Madlibs game were tucked inside. The best and funniest madlib partners won a pair of Lucia soy candles! Prizes were also rewarded to those who created the best bow tie at the bow tie making station- the guest of honor picked her favorite ones!

The long table centerpiece consisted of various white vases filled with white spider mums, scabiosa, and white roses with yellow china mums and billy balls to add a pop of color. Bow tie shaped napkin treatments were placed atop each personalized menu, which doubled as place cards as each read the name of each guest. The party favor notepads were placed next to each table setting so the game could be played between courses, which provided fun and hilarious entertainment.

The patterned mini cakes were designed in honor of the prints design scheme and the dessert station was adorned with custom, oversized, graphic print baby blocks. Using similar Smock wrapping paper as the baby blocks, the bar panels were covered to add a bright print to the white wood bar.

A take home favor station was created with a white ruffle curtain and two rococo end tables covered in chevron wrapped soaps and tied with bakers twine. The yellow framed chalkboard sign read, “What’s A Shower without Soap?” as opened white rose head details were placed amongst the soaps and inside the end table drawers. Patterned paper lanterns added a bubble-like accent to the soap favor vignette.

Patterned throw pillows added color to the white lounge area, which created the gift area that allowed guests to comfortably enjoy the gift opening experience. The hanging crepe paper photo op offered the perfect background for photos of the guests and mom-to-be.

The beachside afternoon fete was a perfect blend of a Sunday luncheon with just enough touches of baby shower fun.
