A Foraged Centerpiece from Petal
December 3, 2013
Here at Petal, we believe that no matter what time of year it is, you can step outside of your house and find beauty in nature. Whether it’s a highly designed wedding or simple family gathering we are inspired by, and love to incorporate, what’s in our own backyard. Lucky for us, Newburyport, Massachusetts, is quite amazing and always ripe for the picking! Photographed by Hello Love Photography, there's a full gallery just for you!
This time of year in New England may not seem like the most lush month but you’ll be amazed at what you can find if you just look around. The leaves may no longer be on the trees but there is still plenty of color and living things that can be incorporated into beautiful arrangements for your home.
Each month we hope you come outside with us to be inspired by what’s in your own backyard!
We spent the day foraging for these gorgeous and unexpected treasures, and you’ll be surprised by what we came up with.
Elements found late November/early December: assorted branches, assorted berries, scrub oak, drift wood, beach plums & dried leaves.

We had an amazing time collecting, and creating, but the real kicker was feasting around Becca & Mike's dinner table with scallops fresh from Nantucket with good friends. It made the beauty of the table that much more warm and inviting.
