The frugalista within always gets really excited when we come up with a fabulous party project that can totally be repurposed once your party guests have retired for the evening. This Kate Spade inspired vase is all that and more. Though it undeniably added that je ne sais quoi to our shin-dig, I'd just as easily place it on my dining room table any ol' day of the year.
Round glass vase
Black gloss spraypaint
Masking tape
Gold paint marker
Gold leaf paint (liquid gilding)
Small paintbrush

step-1 Tape newspaper around the outside of the vase.

step-2 Spray paint the inside of the vase black, in several very light coats. Let dry thoroughly between each coat. Once dry, remove the newspaper.

step-3 Find a circular object with about a 1” diameter (We used the inside of a roll washi tape). Trace the circle around the vase with the paint marker, leaving even space between each dot.

step-4 Fill in each circle with gold leaf paint and let dry. Fill with your favorite blooms!
