I'm totally adoring Amber's backstory to this lovely affair. We originally posted her best friends wedding shower back in 2009, and now we're back with babies on the brain. This stunning event, beautifully captured by the uber talented Anne Robert no less (I swear I can spot an Anne photo a mile away they're so darn pretty), casually celebrates a beaming mom-to be in the loveliest of ways. With a focus on simple, yet sweet decor and an emphasis on all things new-mom, this is one shower for the books. And if you're looking for more, take a peek at the overflowing gallery.

From Amber of Karson Butler Events... My first ever blog submission was to Style Me Pretty in 2009. Abby Larson happily agreed to feature the preppy pink & navy shower I threw for my best friend Sandie with the following words: "I have a secret wish to start a home and party blog. Something like SMP that focuses on great parties, great home design and all of the fabulousness that comes after I Do..." We were one of the first "non-wedding" features on the site and we were oh-so-honored! Fast forward four years and SMP Living is a leading source of inspiration for all things after "I Do" so it is only fitting that we submit my best friend Sandie's baby shower to you - yes, the same Sandie who's bridal shower was featured in 2009. She's expecting her first baby this fall - a little girl!

To celebrate Sandie's pregnancy, we decided to play up the "shower" theme by hanging a collection of pink vintage umbrellas from Bella Umbrellas from the ceiling. Amaryllis created an absolutely gorgeous centerpiece and Party Rental Ltd. helped us finish off the pink design of our table scape. One of our favorite details to put together was the "Craving Station" -- guests ranked the order of the items they thought Sandie would crave the most for a fun interactive game. The station included common pregnancy cravings like pickles & ice cream. Sandie loved it and guests were surprised her top craving so far was fruit! Go figure! Mini pink cans of Sofia champagne (a favorite here in the Karson Butler Events design studio!) graced each place setting -- except for the mom-to-be's of course! Strawberry champagne flavored cupcakes with mini macarons from neighborhood favorite The Sweet Lobby were a delicious ending to the shower! We had so much fun showering mom-to-be Sandie!
