Crystal Gentilello's Bridal Shower
June 4, 2013
If there's anyone whose style is consistently on point it's Crystal Gentilello, founder and editor of the wildly popular Rue Magazine. So when I caught wind that we'd have a chance at peeking at her gorgeous bridal shower (designed by the extraordinary talent, Kelley Moore, no less), I knew we were in for a treat. But I wasn't aware that we'd be presented with the prettiest of pretty events that may have ever lived. With the use of soft hues, a little sparkle and a custom designed monogram, this party is chock full of inspiration overload. Captured by our friend Josh Gruetzmacher, you might want to head over to the new Rue to see the rest of this elegant affair.

From Crystal... When I first got engaged back in September, my dear friend and entertaining extraordinaire, Kelley Moore had me over to her gorgeous SanFrancisco home for a celebratory toast of champagne. She offered to host my Bridal Shower then and of course I couldn’t turn down her gracious offer. Working in the design industry myself as founder and editor of Rue magazine, creating and sharing beauty is an integral part of who I am and what I'm passionate about. I knew Kelley shared my passion for bringing beauty to others that her home would provide an inspiring backdrop for my guests to enjoy.

Since my June wedding is taking place in Napa with a casually elegant outdoor sensibility (you can see my wedding inspiration Pinboard here), Kelley and I wanted to create something that would feel totally different from the wedding and opted for an unabashedly girly vibe of blushing pinks and ivories.

Kelley had the great idea to officially debut my new monogram at the Shower, which really served as the unifying theme for the event. I instantly fell in love with her idea. Though tradition says for good luck debut it after the wedding, I believe we make our own luck and tossed the superstition aside. I loved the personalization it would bring to the occasion and the honor it would show my husband-to-be. All details accounted for, I couldn't have been more happy with the entire experience, from working with Kelley to the many talented vendors who made our vision come together so beautifully, to sharing this special time with the women in my life who mean the most to me. But, hands down, the surprise arrival of my dapper fiance with a bouquet of flowers in hand at the end was my very favorite moment of all. Always a man of thoughtful gestures, I can't wait to marry him!
