We've kind of been bursting at the seams with excitement over this particular home tour. I'm fairly confident that Kendra Scott needs no sort of introduction, I mean, chances are you're donning one of her colourful baubles as we speak! Once named as the most influential women in Central Texas, it was more than a pleasure to get to take a peek at her stunning, Texan abode. (Bonus: we caught up with Kendra for a brief moment to get some of her thoughts on what makes her home, well, hers). And after you soak in all of this pretty, as captured by Suzi Q no less, may I suggest spending some time in the gorgeous gallery?

SMP: Who designed your home?
KS: I worked with designer Mark Ashby on the interior design of my home and it was a very collaborative effort. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and he really helped me execute it.

SM: What do you think makes your home feel like home?
KS: I absolutely love the mix of chic, contemporary pieces with warm, vintage and natural accents, and that is reflected in the style of my home. While my home is beautiful and chic, it is very livable and functional, and I think that’s what makes it feel like home. There’s not a couch that can’t be jumped on or a table that can’t be eaten on, and having two little boys, that is so important. It’s their home too so when I was shopping, I thought of them in every decision I made. Needless to say, most of the materials and fabrics in my home are also stain resistant.

SMP: Your very favorite room?
KS: My favorite room in my house is my living room. My home was built in 1927 and the living room is from the original house, so it has huge windows that bring in a ton of natural light. The walls are painted a calming blue, which we also have in all of our stores, and there are cozy couches and a piano. I love retreating there to relax and curl up with a good read. As I said, I like to mix new with old, so in my living room you’ll see a mix of gorgeous antiques as well as chic contemporary art.

SMP: The one item you just couldn't live without?
KS: Living in Texas, I’d have to say our pool. It’s warm enough to be poolside seven to eight months out of the year and my boys and I spend countless hours splashing around and soaking up the sun. My boys say it’s the WIFI they can’t live without, and I may have to agree with them on that too. Being a mom, it is so nice to have the option to get work done at home so I can be with them.

SMP: What design trend do you think will stand the test of time?
KS: The design trend that I think will be around forever is mixing contemporary, trendy pieces with vintage antiques. This will give your home a beautiful, modern look with a true sense of history to it.
