Any dinner party coined "Sparkle Party" is one I definitely don't want to miss. This rings especially true when thrown together by the crazy talent that is Aaron Hartselle & Bess Friday (can you say dynamic duo? I mean really though). Concrete blocks act as planters as crystal chandeliers sparkle above, tables lined with colour-blocked florals and bright pink dip-dyed napkins set the stage for what I can only imagine is the most epic dinner party of all dinner parties. Check out the rest in the gallery!

From Aaron... I teamed up with the incredibly talented Bess Friday for this shoot inspired by the streets of San Francisco, urban living and public art. Living in the city, I’m constantly surrounded by graffiti, a multitude of textures and the vibrant colors of our beloved Victorians.

The studio space has these dreamy bright orange doors leading to its freight elevator, giving Bess and I the perfect backdrop for the shoot. There’s something very cool about riding a massive freight elevator, lifting up the gate and entering a dinner party.

This design plays around with layers of texture, pattern and color meant to stimulate any imaginative party guest. Concrete blocks served as the perfect foundation for the ombre flower installation (The girls at Church Street Flowers did a KILLER job on this piece) and the platter paint table runner gives a little nod to street art. The sparkle marquee sets the tone for what’s bound to be a lively bash.

Platinum plates and the crystal chandelier add a splash of refinement, while the Mr. and Mrs. Muse place card holders give way to a little whimsy. I married the ombre pattern from the flowers with the Kim Seybert napkins and used French provincial chairs as bookends for the ultra modern Panton chairs.

I had so much fun concepting this shoot and creating what I like to call, the Industrial sparkle party.
