Let me just preface this by saying I fully admit to Instagram spying on Rhiannon of Hey Gorgeous Events and the second I caught a glimpse of her beautiful abode I begged her to share all the details here on Style Me Pretty. Her home is a reflection of her innate sense of style. That same romance and girly goodness that are folded into the weddings she so beautifully crafts can be found in the love-filled home she shares with her husband Andrew and two fur babies. And anywhere that proudly displays a ruffle cake is a place we want to be. Head to the gallery for even more snapshots captured by Kelly Braman Photography.

From Rhiannon of Hey Gorgeous Events... Small confession: I'm the girl who would sell her home in a heartbeat to downsize to a city high rise condo with exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows and half the square footage I'm blessed to be surrounded with now. Ironically enough, here I am living with my husband in a four bedroom spec home we purchased and had built for us just last year. From the front of our home, we look out over a neighborhood full of small children and families. Out the back, you'd mistake our home's location for somewhere in the middle of the country. Acres and acres of undeveloped land and full-grown trees stretch for as far as the eye can see. I'm not living where I always thought I would be, but I've absolutely fallen in love with the space my husband, Andy, and I share with our 13-year-old cat and new puppy.

What drew us to this floor plan (besides our good friends who built a home across the street from us!) was the open concept living space on the main level. The living room, dining area and kitchen all flow together, making entertaining, and even just hanging out together, feel cozy and intimate. We still have so much more to do in this space — we want to add the same brick you see around our fireplace to the wall surrounding our pantry, and I can hardly wait mount the television over the fireplace — but for now we're content with the baby steps we're making in putting it all together. We recently added sheer panels to our sliding door deck entry, which were a challenge to find because of our nine-foot ceilings, but the effort was well worth it. Immediately the giant sliding glass door feels more welcoming.

I'll also be the first to admit that the overall decor in this space is a tad girly (sorry, Andrew!). Just like my business, I'm drawn towards feminine textures, soft colors and sweet details, so I try to surround myself with these things so I can feel happy and inspired every day. I think that's absolutely essential when you work from home. As much as I'd love to say my style is eccentric and whimsical, I'm a sucker for clean lines, symmetry and simplicity, so a lot of these characteristics can be found within our home. And I promise you I don't always have tasty cakes and pretty flowers sitting out on my counter. More often than not this main living area is covered in dog treats, cat hair and wedding crafts. Luckily the day these photos were shot, my brother and his girlfriend were coming into town for a visit, inspiring me to spruce up our home a little. Hope you enjoy this little tour!
