A Jewel-Tone Autumn Romance on the Amalfi Coast Rooted in Heritage and Seasonal Beauty

Besides the natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast, the couple found inspiration in the Fall season, embracing the spirit of the season with a rich and warm palette of jewel tones: burgundy, orange, pink, purple, and golden yellow. Their celebration was brought to life with a lush design featuring garden roses, dahlias, clematis, tulips, and delicate pinkberries, creating a setting that felt both vibrant and poetic. Subtly evoking the charm of Halloween, miniature pumpkins were also incorporated as decor, adding a whimsical touch to the day.

Planned and designed by Amalfi Soirée, this destination wedding was a curated journey of beauty and emotion from start to finish. The couple’s dream was to create a fully immersive experience for their guests while reconnecting with Tony’s Italian heritage. Their journey led them to a summer engagement shoot in the charming alleys of Atrani, brought to life through timeless, luminous imagery by Sergio Sorrentino, with a vintage red Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider adding just the right touch of nostalgic refinement. The invitation suite, crafted on handmade paper and adorned with an illustration of the venue by local artist Vittorio of Buongiorno Ravello, set the tone for a celebration deeply rooted in place and season. This Ravello wedding was more than a destination event (it became a love letter to each other, to their family, and to their closest friends, filled with joy, artful details, and emotion).

The couple’s first meeting felt like destiny. During the wedding vows, the bride revealed that, before they had even started dating, Tony had walked into her office, and a surprising thought crossed her mind: “I’m going to marry this man one day.” The idea surprises her at first, yet from that moment on, she (and perhaps the universe itself) seemed to know they were meant to be together.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Shanon wore a mermaid gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves and carried a whimsical bag shaped like a wedding cake, while Anthony’s classic look was effortlessly refined and included custom cufflinks featuring the silhouettes of their cats.[/field]

Since it was an intimate and private celebration, the newlyweds were not accompanied by bridesmaids or groomsmen. The bride walked down the aisle with her brother.

The celebrant wore a stunning red dress, while the band incorporated vibrant red accents into their look, creating a beautiful sense of harmony with the wedding’s design.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

For Italians, food is more than a nourishment; it’s a way to connect and know each other. That’s why, on the day before, each guest has been called to join a hands-on pizza-making class, followed by a rustic pizza party under the stars, at Trattoria da Lorenzo: an original and fun way to make friends and challenge themselves. On the wedding day, the menu featured culinary delights like the risotto with yellow cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, culminating in a lemon tiramisu that honored the region’s beloved citrus. A custom Prosecco wall kept glasses full while the rhythm carried everyone into the night. As the stars and nocturnal storm appeared, the wedding group moved poolside, under a cozy covered marquee, with a DJ set by Dj Fabio Anastasio, a late-night wood-fired pizza snack, and a dramatic Lambeth-style cake cutting moment framed by sparkling fireworks fountains.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The autumnal color palette came to life through the gorgeous florals by Rosalinda Flowers Weddings Lab, complementing both the attire and the natural surroundings. The dinner beneath centuries-old olive trees was a scene from a dream: crystal chandeliers twinkled above the green joile de toile table that looked like a Flemish painting, with a lush meadow-effect floral runner running along the entire length, seasonal fruits – small miniature pumpkins! – for an opulent finishing touch and refined plates, and colorful glassware.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake cutting took place indoors, as a scenic late-night storm rolled in. The Lambeth-style cake made a dramatic entrance, framed by sparkling fountain fireworks, creating a cinematic moment to close the celebration with warmth, light, and joy.[/field]

The symbolic ceremony overlooking the sea at Belmond Hotel Caruso was pure magic, and when a gentle drizzle began to fall mid-vows, the guests smiled knowingly (the groom’s family has Italian origins). In Italian tradition, in fact, a touch of rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, and in that moment, it felt like a blessing. Throughout the ceremony, a trio of violin, cello, and harp enchanted everyone with Stand By Me and other songs cherished by the couple.

Throughout the evening, guests were treated to live portraits by a wedding painter, and the Italian band Lemon Groove Quintet filled the air with joyful energy. The atmosphere was beautifully spontaneous (phones were nowhere in sight, just laughter, dancing, and true presence on the dance floor).

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]On their wedding weekend, Shanon and Tony welcomed their family and friends with delicious cocktails and sweeping coastal views at their suite in Belmond Villa Margherita.

Each guest was greeted with a custom straw welcome bag from Amalfi Wedding Craft, filled with local pasta, sweet treats, and thoughtful details for their Italian vacation.[/field]
