For this December wedding in Charleston, bride Kenner envisioned a traditional and elegant aesthetic that still felt festive. Dusty blues, emerald greens, and clusters of evergreen trees transformed the reception space to bring her dreams to life.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]On a cold February Friday, Kenner and Austin walked to a local sandwich shop to pick up lunch. On the way as the two walked through the oldest church in town, Austin dropped to one knee. The rest is history!

Kenner gushed about her bridal look: “I found my dress at Bridal House of Charleston. The designer is Beccar out of Hong Kong. The sash/cummerbund was custom and made the dress even better! My “something old” was the pair of earrings I wore; they were my great grandmother’s, and both my mom and my grandmother wore the very same ones on the days they were married! My “something new” was an ivory mink capelet, a wedding day gift from the groom. He had the interior embroidered with my new initials and our wedding date! My “something blue” was my sapphire and diamond wedding band. Lastly, my “something borrowed” was the getting ready dress and robe I wore the morning of the wedding; it is what my mom wore on her wedding day. ” Kenner’s rehearsal dinner dress was also worthy of note– a sequined vintage Oscar de la Renta

The bridesmaids wore Amsale gowns from Bella Bridesmaids. Kenner picked the emerald green fabric color, and each bridesmaid picked her own dress style. The mother of the bride wore a Pamella Roland strapless green tulle dress with the perfect amount of sparkle on the wedding day. To the rehearsal, she wore a red embellished Huishan Zhang dress that was a favorite of the photographer!

Austin’s signature cocktail was a Transfusion. Kenner’s was a spicy margarita. Guests dined on classic southern comfort food with a refined, gourmet twist–mini tomato pies, bite-sized crab cakes, tuna tacos, chicken piccata, and beef tenderloin sliders with fried chicken sliders and truffle fries for late night.
