A variety of tropical colors and bamboo. Bamboo details were woven throughout the wedding design, with reception chargers, candles, larger-than-life lanterns, and baskets galore – all made from bamboo.

From the planner: “When your vibe is Palm Springs but your heart is in Amelia Island: Torn between two coasts, we brought the desert to the dunes with sculptural greens, tropical touches, and all the texture. Bamboo lanterns, breezy linens, and blooms for days. If summer had a personality, it would definitely be this setup.” From the bride: “Amelia Island has always felt like home for my family, so there was a sense of peace that day, being surrounded by family history. My dad grew up vacationing in Amelia and passed that tradition down to our family. My sister also recently got married on the island and relocated there. We can’t wait to continue passing down memories of the island to future generations.”

Drew proposed in the middle of the desert in Joshua Tree during sunset, one of our favorite places.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
Molly grew up singing with her best friend, so she asked her to sing the song she walked down the aisle to. She composed a mash-up of “Can’t help falling in love” and “Stargazing” with a string quartet.

Molly wanted to bring her and Drew’s love for the Southwest (note the groom’s cacti tattoo on his hand!) to the East Coast, so the wedding design was all about bringing the desert to Amelia Island beach. From the bride: “We worked to incorporate Drew’s parents, who had passed into the style as well. Drew wore a turquoise bolo tie as an ode to his father and the desert. We had yellow roses as a part of the florals for Drew’s mom, as it was her favorite flower (yellow roses also on their chairs).”

We are big dog lovers, so we incorporated our dogs into the illustrations for the signature cocktails.

Amelia Island is an important place for the family, as the bride’s sister also got married on the island, and their family has been coming here for years. Molly decided to get ready at her parents’ home.
