A Midsummer Garden Party Wedding at Son Marroig in Palma

We chose a fresh and romantic palette of whites and soft neutrals, beautifully complemented by pastel tones worn by our guests.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our vision was a dreamy midsummer garden party with a black-tie twist, designed to highlight the natural beauty of Son Marroig. The décor focused on white florals, soft drapery, and candlelight to create an effortlessly romantic and timeless setting.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Daniel proposed in Franschhoek, South Africa, in a vineyard that looked like it had been painted by hand. The moment was intimate, thoughtful, and filled with love. I said yes instantly, knowing I wanted to spend my life with him.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I wore a couture blush Galia Lahav ball gown, which I found during a bridal shopping trip to Paris. The gown featured layers of tulle, delicate Spanish floral appliqués, and a princess silhouette. My veil, a cathedral-length design with subtle diamanté embellishments, was from Veiled Gloriously. I completed the look with ruched tulle Jimmy Choo heels finished with diamanté straps and carried a soft, seasonal peony bouquet.[/field]

My six bridesmaids wore stunning pink corsets and flowing skirts designed by my maid of honour’s fashion brand, Lauve, paired with matching scarves (chunnis) for a graceful and feminine finish.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Daniel stood out in an ivory jacquard tuxedo jacket with subtle texture, paired with a classic black bow tie. In contrast, the groomsmen wore timeless black-tie ensembles with sleek tuxedos and black bow ties, creating a cohesive yet striking look.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

Our menu was crafted by Vicky Pulgarin, a MasterChef winner, and celebrated local flavours with a Mediterranean twist. For drinks, we had two signature cocktails: my favourite, a spicy margarita, and Daniel’s, a whiskey sour. We also enjoyed our favourite champagne, Dom Pérignon, in a champagne tower that was so much fun and became one of the highlights of the evening. For a late-night snack, we treated guests to delicious stone-baked pizzas, perfect for refuelling during the party.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony featured an abundance of white florals surrounding the iconic Son Marroig gazebo. Soft drapery framed the Mediterranean sea views, while the reception tablescape was lit with hundreds of candles for a romantic al fresco dinner under the stars.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our three-tiered wedding cake was delicate and beautiful, perfectly matching my wedding dress with its soft and romantic design.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

My cousin read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 during the ceremony. A string quartet performed our favourite classical and modern love songs, including Canon in D, Video Games, and If I Ain’t Got You. Later, our DJ, DJ Baj, and saxophonist took over for a lively evening of dancing and celebration.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

We wanted our wedding to feel personal and thoughtful for our guests. A live sketch artist created portraits as wedding favours, and a saxophonist entertained everyone during cocktail hour. Our speeches were also a highlight. We kept it intimate, with only four speeches, and I gave an unconventional speech dedicated to my mum, thanking her for her unwavering love and sacrifices. Instead of tossing my bouquet, I gave it to her as a symbol of my gratitude and love, which was an emotional and unforgettable moment.
