Alison and Ryan’s Citrus Wedding is a nod to the beauty of Boca Grande, FL. They hone in on tropical elements while maintaining a timeless and elegant atmosphere. Unique and playful elements include fresh citrus on the tables, creative and cohesive paper goods with the same pattern of a mix of seagulls, alligators, palm trees, sea shells, etc. You can find that pattern from the seating chart, to the super bar, to matchbooks and bar signs, and to personalized place cards.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the very beginning, it was clear that Alison and Ryan shared something truly rare—an unwavering connection that had withstood distance, demanding careers, and even unexpected military deployments. No matter the challenges life threw their way, their bond remained steady, grounded in love and a deep understanding of one another.
Ryan had been planning to propose for some time, but a sudden overseas deployment forced him to move quickly. Determined to make it happen before he left, he scrambled to finish the ring and piece together a meaningful moment—something true to who they are.
On a chilly December afternoon, Alison believed they were heading out for a bit of holiday shopping and a manicure before visiting family. But instead, Ryan took a detour downtown. Their favorite rooftop bar was unexpectedly closed, the weather wasn’t ideal, and the moment didn’t quite go as planned. Ryan, uncharacteristically nervous, eventually gave up on the downtown plan and brought Alison back to their neighborhood marina—the quiet spot where they often walked and watched the sunset together.
That’s where it happened. With the sun setting and casting a golden-pink glow over the water, Ryan dropped to one knee—just a little too close to the edge. Instinctively, Alison reached out to steady him (and the ring), laughing through the nerves, before joyfully saying yes.
It was imperfectly perfect—full of warmth, spontaneity, and authenticity. A moment that captured exactly who they are together. [/field]

A lush, sun-kissed paradise brought to life — this wedding look captures the essence of an upscale island dream. The design is full of bright botanicals, warm citrus hues, and a sense of playful elegance. Romantic elegance meets tropical touches with roses, ranunculus, palms, delphinium, and fresh citrus slices. The floral chandelier ties together tropical and modern romance with golden globes mixed within. Alternating the table linens and napkins elevated the space and added a fun touch of pattern play!

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of the most meaningful aspects of planning Alison and Ryan’s wedding was the deep personal connection they shared with the location. Boca Grande Island and the Gasparilla Inn weren’t just a beautiful backdrop—they were part of their story. Both grew up vacationing on the island, spending summers fishing with their families just half a mile apart, never knowing their paths would one day cross.
With family roots in Florida’s citrus industry and a shared love for the charm of Old Florida, Alison and Ryan wanted their wedding to feel like a true reflection of who they are and where they come from. Our goal was to weave those elements seamlessly into the celebration—bringing in nostalgic, personal touches in a way that felt elegant, authentic, and timeless.[/field]

Another meaningful element of Alison and Ryan’s wedding was the incorporation of Ryan’s military service into the celebration. Honoring that part of his life added a layer of depth and pride to the weekend. One of the most memorable moments was the couple’s entrance into the reception beneath a Sabre Arch formed by Ryan’s fellow servicemen—a powerful tribute from his brothers in arms that brought both emotion and elegance to the evening.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Alison and Ryan wanted a band that could bring energy and joy to guests of all ages—from 28 to 88. We recommended The RiverTown Band, and they absolutely exceeded all expectations. Their performance kept the dance floor alive and created an unforgettable atmosphere. Friends and family have since shared that this was not only the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended but also the most fun. One especially touching moment came when Ryan’s 93-year-old grandmother told her grandchildren, “Out of all the weddings I’ve been to, this was the best one!”[/field]
