We chose a romantic blend of ivory, champagne, and soft gold to set the tone for the day — classic yet ethereal. These hues echoed throughout every detail in the ceremony, creating a palette that felt both regal and deeply personal.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
We envisioned a wedding that felt like stepping into a European dream — where old-world grandeur meets modern romance. Inspired by the opulence of the venue, our day was filled with intimate charm and soft sophistication, accented by warm lighting, timeless silhouettes, and a sense of quiet luxury.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
When Andy and I first moved to New York, we made a promise to one day stay at the Lotte New York Palace, inspired by a special stay at its sister hotel in Korea. So when it came time for the proposal, Andy booked a suite at the Palace and invited me under the pretense of a Christmas work event. I thought we were just heading to a pre-event cocktail hour—but when I walked into the suite, I was completely surprised. The room was beautifully decorated, my favorite song—Perfect by Ed Sheeran—was playing, and a candlelit path guided me to the living room. There, I found Andy waiting for me on one knee.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I wanted to celebrate both our Korean and American cultures, so I wore a classic white dress for the ceremony and changed into a hanbok for cocktail hour. My ceremony dress was by Justin Alexander and customized to emphasize the shoulders and back for a sleek, modern look. The hanbok was a meaningful gift from my grandmother — we flew to Korea together and had the special experience of selecting the style, fabric, and colors side by side with her, making it all the more personal and memorable.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
Our wedding menu was a heartfelt nod to our Korean heritage, thoughtfully curated with the chef at the Lotte New York Palace. We began with a comforting poached egg in bone broth, followed by chae so jook — a delicate vegetable rice porridge with shiitake mushrooms and toasted sesame. The main course featured galbi jjim with janchi noodles, bringing together tender soju-marinated short ribs and soy-glazed vegetables. Dessert was warm hodduk filled with brown sugar and black sesame, paired with house-made vanilla bean gelato — a sweet finish full of nostalgia and love.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Our flowers were soft, romantic, and full of texture — a mix of ivory, blush, and pale peach tones with roses, ranunculus, and dahlias. We added touches of greenery and branches to give everything a natural, garden-like feel. Lush floral columns framed our ceremony, while smaller arrangements and tall glass candles made each dinner table feel warm and inviting. The space felt elegant but comfortable — just like we hoped it would.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
Our cake was a study in modern refinement — a three-tiered masterpiece wrapped in satin-like fondant folds, reminiscent of draped silk. Minimalist yet striking, it was adorned with handcrafted sugar florals in ivory and soft blush, echoing the elegance of the surrounding blooms. Beside it stood a pair of classic Tiffany champagne flutes, adding a touch of iconic romance to the moment we toasted to forever.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour was performed by incredibly talented musicians from The Juilliard School. Their string quartet brought a sense of grace and emotion to the day, playing everything from classical pieces to modern love songs with such beauty and intention. Their performance created the perfect atmosphere — timeless, heartfelt, and unforgettable.[/field]
