The palette of French blue, sage green, rosy pink, and gilded gold wove through every element of the celebration. These hues infused the day with a sense of regal romance, timeless elegance, and inviting warmth.

Set against the enchanting backdrop of a historic French château, Ashley and Brock’s wedding was a dreamy fusion of influences from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette and timeless Southern elegance — a blend of their shared Texan roots and Ashley’s Francophile upbringing.

Fashion played its own starring role. Ashley wore an off-the-shoulder Sareh Nouri gown with a dramatic skirt, evoking the essence of a classic French silhouette. The couple’s stationer, Kara Anne Paper, incorporated floral details inspired by Ashley’s dress into the wedding suite.

Guests were treated to a culinary journey blending the best of French gastronomy with locally sourced ingredients. Cocktail hour was a sensory delight, featuring truffle risotto served straight from a Parmesan wheel and an array of exquisite pastries. Dinner began with a seasonal delicacy — white asparagus — followed by a choice of filet of beef or sea bass, paired beautifully with Bordeaux or Chardonnay.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals were lush and bloom-heavy, centered around striking raspberry pink peonies in full May bloom. Tablescapes featured elegant gold candelabras and romantic, heirloom-inspired details, perfectly complementing the château’s 18th-century art collection in ornate golden frames. As the sun dipped below the horizon, dinner unfolded beneath soft candlelight, turning the evening into a golden hour reverie.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

A decadent vanilla cake with chocolate filling (a requirement of the groom’s to have no fruit whatsoever in the cake!) served as the sweet centerpiece, alongside a dessert room overflowing with bonbons and French confections.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Ashley and Brock selected excerpts from “L’Éternelle Chanson”, a poem by Rosemonde Gérard, to be read by Ashley’s brother and sister-in-law at the ceremony in English, followed by a reading in French by their officiant. The couple particularly cherished the line: “And as every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow.”

Special touches made the day and weekend uniquely theirs, especially the Taylor Swift easter eggs featured throughout. From Taylor Swift-inspired escort cards and fireworks soundtracks (a must for the Swiftie bride). The surprise fireworks show launched to “Je Ne Regrette Rien,” then lit up to “Sparks Fly” by Taylor Swift, and closed with “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” officially opening the dance floor.

In the bride’s own words: “The fromage course of dinner had to be cut short because a thunderstorm was rolling in and we couldn’t miss our champagne tower and surprise fireworks show. Both went off without a hitch, and the storm ended up missing the château entirely just by 2km!”
