Colors: A blend of nature’s hues with vibrant pops of green, blue, orange, and pink— Organic meets ethereal. Dress Code: Tropical Formal, where elegance meets island vibes.

Our vision was a beautiful contradiction—vibrant yet neutral, tropical yet elegant, traditional yet laid-back. Above all, we wanted the atmosphere to feel light, joyful, and effortlessly inviting—never stuffy or overly formal.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

We got engaged on the North Shore of Oahu, right on the beach outside my family’s vacation home. It was just another afternoon walk along the beach —something we’d done countless times before. I was sitting in the sand, completely relaxed in my swimsuit, absolutely not expecting what was about to happen… I repeat I was sitting in my swimsuit lol. And then, Josh got down on one knee. Afterward, we walked back to the house to share the news, and to my surprise, his family was there too! The celebration turned into an unforgettable week of swimming, hiking, and cooking dinners together—a perfect start to this next chapter.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

My dress was the Sarah Seven – Frankie Dress. Customization: Technically, it came as-is… until my girlfriends got their hands on a pair of gas station scissors and customized it right there on the dance floor. One minute it was full-length elegance, the next—impromptu mini dress. Zero regrets.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

My top priority was making sure my 14 girls felt comfortable. So instead of forcing them into matching dresses, I gave them four colors—blue, green, pink, and orange—and let them pick whatever style they loved. It was a beautifully mismatched, perfectly their lineup.

We gave the guys a color scheme and a few suggestions, but ultimately let them choose their looks. Josh rocked a tan linen suit, while the rest of the crew wore a combination of tan, blue, and light green linen suits and added their personal touch, which meant ditching their shoes last-minute and going barefoot down the aisle.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Our wedding florals could be described as lush, organic, and effortlessly romantic. Soft pastel blooms—roses, orchids, and tropical greenery—framed the ceremony with a garden-inspired elegance. The aisle featured golden wooden chairs with delicate Hawaiian leis, leading to a stunning ocean backdrop. My bouquet blended cream and blush florals with cascading greenery, while Josh’s boutonniere had the same soft, organic, ethereal touch. Every detail embraced the venue’s natural beauty, creating a dreamy fusion of tropical elegance and refined romance.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our wedding cake? Oh, that was a last-minute masterpiece. The morning of the wedding, my friend ran to the grocery store, grabbed a plain cake, and we had the florist throw some leftover flowers on it—voilà, instant wedding cake. And guess what? No one had a clue. Honestly, don’t stress over the little things (unless you have a big cake vision). We were way more excited about having fresh, hot Hawaiian malasadas (basically little sugar-dusted donut balls of heaven) from a local business, so a traditional cake-cutting moment wasn’t high on my list. Priorities!

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Our officiant was my closest family friend, and let me tell you, he brought the heat! The ceremony was packed with hilarious stories about Josh and me —one minute our guests were wiping away tears, and the next they were cracking up, wiping away laughing tears. It ended up turning into a bit of a roast of me, which, honestly, was perfect. For our first dance, we had our good friend Luke Henry serenade us with This Must Be The Place by The Talking Heads. Halfway through, we pulled our guests onto the dance floor to join us— it was amazing to share our first dance with everyone. Oh, and right before the dancing kicked off, we had an epic fire dancer performance that got the party started.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

We had a special surprise for Josh that stole the show! Our talented friend Luke Henry, who sang our first dance song, is an incredible singer/songwriter. He wrote a custom song all about our love story to surprise Josh right in the middle of the dancing. It ended up being one of the most unforgettable moments of the entire wedding—so emotional and perfect.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]We chose Kualoa Ranch – Paliku Gardens as our venue because its breathtaking landscape felt like a reflection of our love story—a place where the mountains meet the ocean. Josh, from the mountains of Colorado, and I, from the beaches of California, found the perfect setting that beautifully merged our worlds.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

My sister and her boyfriend live in Oahu and run a bartending business, so they brought their bar and staff to work our wedding! It was so special to have her personal touches everywhere, and it meant a lot to have her so involved in the planning. She helped make everything feel even more unique and memorable.
