Soft Pastels and Southern Charm Under Texas Skies at the Grand Lady

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]For this romantic spring wedding in Austin, the design centered around Southern charm with an elegant, fresh feel. The couple chose a venue that perfectly balanced indoor and outdoor spaces, giving guests a blend of cozy interiors and breezy outdoor views of The Grand Lady!

Delicate florals brought a refined and whimsical feel to both the ceremony and reception areas. Inside, the table scapes featured vintage-inspired charger plates, classic ivory linens, and lots of color brought in through the floral.

Outdoors, string lights over a full circular bar and touches of a floral print brought a touch of magic to that space.

Every element reflected the couple’s vision of effortless charm with a timeless Southern touch, capturing the beauty of spring and the romance of their story.[/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]We got engaged in steamboat springs, Colorado! CJ had booked a photographer for a specific time and had to fake a knee injury to get me to go in from skiing. One hour later his knee was magically better and he wanted to go on a hike up a mountain in a downpour of snow where he proposed! [/field]

[section title=”The Fashion”]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I found my dress at Olivia Grace Bridal in San Antonio. I went into the process with an open mind and tried on almost every style out there! As cheesy as it sounds when I tried my dress on I just knew! [/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]My bridesmaids wore satin, light blue dresses. I let them pick the style from revelry! I ended up deciding on light blue because I felt like it was the perfect color to tie in all of the pastels![/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]CJ knew he wanted his guys in something classic and timeless, so they all wore classic black tuxes. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Maddie and CJ envisioned an elegant dining experience for their wedding, where quality would shine through in every course. With a plated dinner service, their guests got to enjoy the luxury of selecting their entrée, ensuring a personal touch for each guest.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Maddie & CJ worked hand in hand with Simply XO Events to bring their spring wedding design to life. From the lush floral to the timeless day of signage and paper goods, their wedding day was beautiful.

They incorporated a custom floral print throughout the wedding. This was first shown off to guests when they received their invitation suite in the mail. On the wedding day, the print was brought in on the custom dance floor, the custom full circular bar outside for guests to go to all evening, and many spots in the day of signage & paper goods. It was a print that was fresh, whimsical, and brought in that garden aesthetic that was important to them. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Maddie & CJ had both a bride & grooms cake at the wedding! The bride wanted something classic and traditional, with small pops of floral around the cake. For the groom, they had a few of his favorite things incorporated (YETI cooler with personal touches of his favorite beer, their dogs, a ode to where he went to school, and his favorite sports team). [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]We are huge Tyler Childers fans and ended up using a few of his songs throughout the wedding! After the ceremony we walked down to “all your’n” played on strings. It is our favorite song and thought this was a really special time to implement it into our day. This was always supposed to be our first dance song but last minute fell in love with his cover of “space and time” and used that as our first dance song! [/field]
