Minimalistic Aesthetic and Neutral Hues at Carneros Resort and Spa

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The color palette revolves around shades of white, beige and brown, creating a clean and organic minimalist aesthetic.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The design is classic but organic- the couple wanted something natural that reflected their taste. In Alexa’s words, “We are both minimalists- and love neutral colors. We wanted the dinner party to feel warm as if our guests could be in

our (future) home. We also wanted the design to feel like Napa- which is expressed in the warm wood of the chairs, chocolate brown chargers, neutral napkins, and off white accents.” Burke Events executed the couple’s vision flawlessly. [/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Alexa and Joe met on Hinge in February 2020- a few weeks before Covid lockdown. After some time of being at home together- they needed a change of scenery outside of LA. Road trips to Napa became frequent and it became one of their favorite places to visit. When travel was allowed internationally, their first big trip together was to the City of Light, which ended with a Parisian proposal. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]A show stopping gown was a must for this luxurious wedding. Designed by Lihi Hod, the gown not only appealed to Alexa’s minimalist nature, but also created a statement of elegance and timelessness. The evening breeze of Napa Valley added to the drama of the gown’s luminous A-line skirt with a front slit. [/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]To offset the full white wedding decor, the bridesmaids wore all black. The bride encouraged the bridesmaids to wear their choice of designer and gown style. The unique choices of the bridesmaids floor length gowns helped to set the tone to the black tie affair. [/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and groomsmen wore a classic black tux, matching the overall elegance of the wedding. [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Carneros Resort was high on the couple’s list not only for the ambience, but also for their incredible food and diverse wine selection from both Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The farm to farm dining supplied by Carneros own Culinary Garden is one of the uniqueness that attracted the couple. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The use of all-white flowers added a timeless and classic touch to this modern wedding. Flowers by Edgar created one of a kind floral arrangements combining various textures, shapes, and shades of white to create a harmonious and enchanting display. With a myriad of White Majolika and Vandela Roses, Stock and Calla Lilies, the aisle and the chuppah created an extravagant statement. The reception flowers incorporated White Scabiosa, Poppies and the Anemones with their striking black centers for contrast in the arrangements. To finish off the night with a bang, Burke Events and Flowers by Edgar created a timeless black and white checkered dance floor, with a sky of disco balls and luminous greenery. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The elegant cake designed by Flour and Bloom was one of the highlights of the couple’s reception. Keeping with the theme, the cake was ivory with a splash of gold for dramatic effect on the outside, concealing the perfect layers of velvety chocolate inside. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Since the couple’s families are Jewish, the wedding ceremony highlighted Jewish traditions. Starting with a private signing of Ketubah and ending with the favorite stomping on the glass to the joyful sound of Mazel Tov.

As the dance floor was revealed to guests after the dinner, the couple started the party with First dance song, Is this love by Luke Burr performed by De Bois Band. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Alexa worked with Debra Shirley at NWLA to create a custom veil. Debra took small flowers from Alexa’s Mom’s wedding gown and elegantly sprinkled them across the bottom of the cathedral length veil. And to keep her Grandmother, Baba, close to her at the wedding, Alexa added her Baba’s gemstone butterfly brooch to her bouquet. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple joined the guests on the dance floor in their golden goose sneakers that were designed on a trip to Italy and personalized with their wedding date and initials.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]During the ceremony, the couple used both parents’ kiddush cups that were used at their weddings. [/field]
